Came to visit from New York and was told by my parents about this place so I checked it out. The food was amazing and everything tasted homemade. Chips were warm, good salsa as well and the margarita I ordered was superb. I ended up ordering enchiladas which were very filling, the chicken inside was delicious and juicy. The food is just ok, prices are too high & last time I was there the 'manager' or whomever was acting as such was not pleasant when I questioned the severe reduction in portion of the bean dip-it was half the size at the same price. Out of the restaurants in Reedsburg, Cancun is the only restaurant that I've frequented. Nostalgic for me, this is where I took my first date. At the time I didn't have a lot of money, and the food's really good. They have all the favorites that you'd want especially for someone from the southwest. Like most Mexican restaurants, you start off the course with fresh hot chips and salsa. Followed by an entre that is worth every penny. The value to food ratio is definitely there, and you will be full. Top it with a bonus of deliciousness. As a kicker, this is the only place that I know in town that plays soccer on their TVs. The only reason I didn't give it the fifth star is because of the clutter of things in the bar area. The bar area needs to be cleaned up. Overall, I enjoy every moment that I've been here. As soon as we walked in we were seating and a waiter came up and asked us what we would like to drink. Within 5 minutes we ordered and within what only felt like another 5 minutes we all had our food. Everything was super delicious. I got the Quesadilla Ranchero and my friend got the supreme Nachos. She said they were the best nachos she has ever had. The atmosphere was really nice. Seemed to be a loved spot by all. Had it not been such a long traveling day I might have tried the margarita. The drinks seemed to be a hit in that place. There wasnt a table without one. Of course, with the exception to ours. Overall if I lived here this would be my favorite place to frequent. read more

Nice suprise stop. Nothing fancy on the inside but it more than makes up with the meal. Pleasant family business with everyone very friendly. Chips and salsa were spot on. Even my grandchildren liked it. The food is pretty solid and plentiful. Here's the unknown suprise. I like a little heat with my food but as l looked around there wasn't anything to be found. I just found this place recently. I've passed this little gem countless times. It sits back off the road and has a tiny little sign out front. (I inevitably pass it and have to turn around). I eat a lot of Mexican food. I've had some of the best and some of the worst. This place is one of the best. It's a small but ample room and seating. It is a little divey, in that the furnishings are old. Nothing fancy about this place but the food. The service has been exceptional. Chips and salsa immediately, drink order taken when the chips hit the table. Our food was on the table before we finished our chips, they were very quick. The margaritas are stout, and delicious. I'm a huge fan of the fajita quesadilla. My mouth waters at the thought of it. I did have their flan, it was ok not 100% smooth. (I have pretty high standards for flan) The wait staff are very perceptive of your needs. This place is my new favorite Authentic Mexican restaurant. read more

The place is very dirty. We actually stopped going because of it. Just look around while you sit there, it is always like that. The blanket they have on the table under the glass is horrible. They also stopped taking restaurant.com certificates but didnt bother telling restaurant.com so if you read this and have one dont bother. They cannot handle large groups. Had a 14 person group about 6pm. My problems: Requested more chips & salsa for the table 2 times (20 mins apart) & never received. Waiter never asked to refill my drink nor how my food was or if I needed anything. He acted like I was an inconvenience. Didn't smile, say please or thanks. Table Problems: 4 friends requested drinks they never received, two waited 20 mins for a water & a dessert and we had to request our checks in order to leave. The worst part was when the waiter brought back my credit card receipt to ask how much the tip was (I filled in the TOTAL but not the TIP section). Apparently he wanted to confirm if I was leaving him 8.7% or 108.7%. Again, not pleasant, no thank you, no please. He spoke loud enough for at least 4 people at my table to hear him (which prompted a discussion on how I tip based on SERVICE not on FOOD). My tip reflects only what the server can control.
