Excellent Mexican food considering how touristy the area is. I got the alambre, which was very filling and had a nice smoky flavor to the bacon with tasty al pastor. You could taste the hint of pineapple in the al pastor to give it that nice kick. Nice gem in the dells!

Amazing burrito. Did breakfast burritos and staff friendly. Love the food. Homemade salsa. Just like back home in Arizona

Sampled a little bit of everything.

A delicious visit to this new-to-me Taqueria Mexico! From the minute I entered, I appreciated the look, AND smell of cleanliness this establishment had. And when a floor has been meticulously deep cleaned with Fabuloso, you KNOW the care with which they prepare their food will be just as fabulous. This counter-style eatery offers an ample menu of traditional Mexican savory and sweet dishes. What I Loved: - Carne Asada Sopes: by far my most favorite bite. The masa of the sope tasted freshly made, warm, and fresh. I appreciated how overfilled it was with savory carne asada, refried beans, fresh lettuce, tomato, cotija cheese, and Mexican crema (sour cream). The portion and value (one for $5 or two for $9) were 100% on par with each other. HIGHLY recommend this dish, as I ordered it ;-) - Shredded chicken flautas: crispy rolled, deep-fried taquitos bursting with flavor! - Chopped chicken bowl: a filling and light, feel-good meal. - I also appreciated the options and portions of the kids' menu. My kiddos were unable to finish their meals, but loved everything they ate: kids' beef tacos and kids' carne asada burrito. I loved the freshness of the food, the quality of the taste, the variety of options, the friendliness of the staff, and the overall experience on my first visit to this restaurant. I would happily return and recommend to others in the area looking for a delicious, comforting, home-cooked meal.

10/10 across the board, best tacos I've ever had. Delicious, everything was fresh and 100% homemade. I'll dream about the guac and bbq tacos for all my days.

Run of the mill Midwest Mexican restaurant, it scratched the itch but my quesabirria tacos were pretty bland and a bit cold, while the queso didn't have much flavor at all.

Decided to check out this new-ish restaurant for dinner one Wednesday night. The place was very busy but you order at the counter and they give you a pager when food is done. We were all very happy with our meals; food was fresh and very tasty. The only suggestion would be less lettuce on the taquitos; it was drowning it lettuce. We will definitely be back.

    BBQ Nachos

We ordered the BBQ nachos, quesabirria , and a 3 taco meal, totaling at about $30. Great price for the amount of food. Everything was delicious, the workers were very friendly, my husband did a surprise me taco for his third one and the employe picked very well lol. The restaurant is very cute and nicely decorated.

Discovered this while going to QDOBA, and so glad we chose this place instead. After a long hike at Devils Lake, this was the perfect place to enjoy the AC + delicious food!

Wow! Yelp guides us again to a terrific restaurant! First but definitely won't be our last visit next time we pass by the Dells/Baraboo area! We had the BbQ street tacos, street corn, and the alhambra, pastor style. Fresh, excellent presentation and oh my !! the flavors were perfect, just incredible! Quite possibly the best tasting "Mexican restaurant" other than being in Mexico!!!

Taqueria Mexico is pretty touristy and average Mexican cuisine. I would recommend the grilled shrimp bowl.

We got the Parrillada for two, it had chuck steak, beef rice, chorizo, chicken, shrimps, potatoes, jalapeños and green onions, and served with vegetable, rice and beans and tortillas. And it was amazing! Juicy, flavourful and honestly leaves you dreaming of more. We also got the 24 oz michelada mix with a beer and it was huge! But really good as well The staff were very accommodating and the atmosphere was chill. You need to put it on your radar!

We got there and we're seated and left with a menu only and the waitress kinda forgot about us being there. I go to many Mexican restaurants and this is the first one I've ever had to ask for the chips and salsa after 40 mins of sitting with no drinks or anything I figured I ask for the chips as some other people coming in got theres right away , so it was a bad start already due to me having to ask for the chips and salsa after sitting there awkwardly for 40 mins for them to bring the chips after me reminding the waitress of it. - When it was finally time to order the food we placed our order and when the food came out my food was never cooked leaving me with no food to eat after already waiting over 40 mins ,after repeating my order to the waitress over 2 times and her confirming it on her little pad thingy the plate I ordered never made it out to the table, over all the olace needs better structure as they seem to not care about the customers , the only thing that came out fast like lightning McQueen when asked was the bill they made sure to stand next to me for it to be paid , for the bill they were on time amd glued next to me for it to be paid had a nice laugh there lol

We sat out on the patio which has a nice view of the water. It feels set back away even though it's right off a busy road. I tried the watermelon margarita and my partner had don Julio on the rocks. It comes in a shaker with fresh lime juice. Excellent choice! I'd recommend giving it a try if you like tequila! The watermelon margarita was very sweet, next time I'd go for their original margarita instead. We had the chips and guacamole. Shrimp and veggie quesadilla, which tasted really fresh and good. This was our afternoon snack so we didn't dig much deeper into the menu but I'd say this place is worth a visit if you want a cute patio, and a good drink! Especially if you happen to be across the street at mini golf. The mini golf score book has a coupon on the back of one of the pages for a buy one get one drink!

We ordered a smothered steak burrito and it came out incorrectly made. However the waiter quickly brought it back to have the cooks correct it. Then when it came back out as you notice in the picture, there was no steak in it. I brought it up to the mangers attention and she quickly resolved it by comping both steak burritos and personally ordering me a quesadilla to go. The margarita was solid. And the atmosphere was nice.

We stopped at what we thought was a pub up the road and turned out after a certain time, it becomes very much night club vibes. So, we wandered a bit and saw this spot that was open and still serving food. Yahtzee! They were incredibly busy (probably due to the sparse choices for later evening eats in the Dells) so it took us a while to be served (not a problem for us, but just to know that they're popular and busy and to maybe pack your patience). For our cocktails, I got their mezcalita. I love mezcal. I enjoy margaritas. How on earth this was my first mezcalita, I don't know. But, if I may, stand atop a metaphorical mountain and officially shout here and now: henceforth, it's the mezcalita for me! Too much? Too formal an announcement for such an occasion? I think not. It was completely delicious and will now be my go-to cocktail order when getting Mexican food. For my dinner, I got the pastor tacos, beans, and rice. Amazing. I was waffling between which type of tacos to get and our sweet server said those were his fave. I'm so glad he steered me in that direction because they were wonderful. The prices were reasonable, the service was lovely, and the food was fab. This will become a must stop on any trip to the Dells for us. Get to it!
