Such a great place for authentic Mexican style food. Very reasonably priced.

The service at Cancun is as soon as it gets and the food is even better. I always go with the two chile rellenos on a combination plate. They build the chile relleno using quality poblano peppers filled with cheese, dipped in egg whites and fried to perfection. My spouse loves the Don Burrito, but she has been migrating over to the chile rellenos of late. Average food but I do love the homemade ranch salsa to accompany the chips. There are definitely better places for Mexican but they do a great job seating a ton of patrons and provide good service. Not a bad choice as it is better than Taquila Azul and El Patio but it doesn't rival Sandoval or Tacos Juanitas. read more

This place is hands down the best Mexican restaurant in Eau Claire. Their food is fast cheap but loaded with flavor. It's so different from anything else I have ever had at a Mexican restaurant. The servers are always very kind and entertaining, there is a sense of pride they have there. Their's lots of room the restaurant is beautiful, it has nice seating and space. The rice is hands down the best wild rice I've ever had and the cheese they put over everything is amazing. the appetizers are all very good and not tiny portions. They have bottomless chips and salsa along with some ranch sauce that is to die for. I've never seen desert like they have here anywhere else, it's very unique. This place definitely does not deserve 5 stars. I've traveled all over this country and at most it deserves a 3. It's got a great atmosphere and service but the food is definitely nothing spectacular. The guacamole tasted like it came out of a plastic bag from the grocery store. Definitely not freshly made. The carnitas tacos originally came out as flour tacos! What?! I'm allergic to wheat. That's why I became a Mexican foodie. Corn baby corn!! I love going to cancun for their pollo asado and pina coladas. My sister ordered nacho supreme with beef and she said their sangria was excellent. The staff were quick and very friendly. And our food came pretty quickly after our order was placed even though it seemed very busy. Excellent service and very efficient. read more

Excellent service, food was really good, salsa is homemade and fresh! The white queso cheese dip is excellent, too! Wouldn't recommend the ranchero sauce on the enchiladas but that's a personal preference. I used the queso dip and it was really good. The carnitas burrito was served piping hot from the kitchen and was really good and pork was moist. My meal and service were both great, so I have no complaints. Since moving to Eau Claire, we have probably eaten at this location nearly 100 times. Their food quality and service are consistent and solid, and their food is delicious. We have had nothing but good experiences here! Favorites include the chori Pollo, chicken chimichanga, and fried ice cream. The margaritas are also good, especially Monday and Tuesday when they are on special. The service is super fast and friendly. read more

The best Mexican food I've had since moving here 1 1/2 years ago from CA (which has many options for fantastic family owned Mexican places to eat). OK So I've eaten here a lot of times and have had pretty decent food and service. Today was a bit different. My husband and I came and and were seated right away and the guy took our drink order and I order the cheese sauce right away to go with our chips and salsa. Another guy came over and asked for our drink order and I told him the other guy took it and he said no he don't speak English..ok gave him our order and the drinks came back prompt with the cheese sauce. We looked over the menu decided what we were going to have and I order the carnitas and hubby ordered some seafood wrapped in tortillas with cheese sauce on top. Our food came out really fast almost too fast and when our server dropped the plates this was the last I seen him till we got the bill. He said his food was just ok and I want to tell you we are not very picky eaters or complain at all when we go out to eat. Ive had carnitas at several different places and know what they are suppose to look and taste like. I had a couple slices of pork that tasted like it was boiled in water and re-heated in the microwave. It was stringy and chewy and tasted awful I couldnt even eat it. I just ate my rice and beans and filled up on chips. When the server finally came back he offered us to go boxes for out left overs and I told him that the food was really bad. He did make it right and offered to make something else but found it pointless as I really wasnt hungry anymore. I wanted another margarita and saw that it was busy so we decided to sit at the bar and drink them to free up space for other customers to sit at that table. He gave us our bill and the guy eneded up taking my carnitas off the bill. That made me very happy. I will probably go back here but not anytime soon and wont order them again. I think there are far better mexican resturaunts in Eau Claire to eat at than this one. The margaritas are good and strong as always. read more
