I arrived at this restaurant around 12:30pm for lunch with a friend. I immediately got excited because there was outdoor seating. We opted for indoor seating because of the weather. As soon las you walk in the, you see the specials for that day. Be prepared to look at it as you open the door because entrance is kinda small. There wasn't a wait so we were seated immediately. There are booths and table/chair seating. I ordered the special for the day which was an ACP minus steak and my friend ordered Tacos de Birria. Our food came out in a reasonable timeframe and it was delicious. My ACP had enough cheese sauce and the right amount of seasoning. My friend said the Birria was flavorful and delicious. She couldn't even eat it all and had leftovers to take home. Overall, this was a good lunch outing and I can see myself returning especially when the weather is nicer and we can sit outside. read more

Cancun has turned into our favorite mexican restaurant, their flavor is good and prices aren't bad. Food is always served at right temperature and their team is always setting the bad high. Came here while on a business trip and staying at a hotel nearby. Service was pretty slow even though I was one of 4 tables at the time. I ordered the cancún super which is 5 different enchiladas and was quite disappointed. While you do get generous portions, all three of the meats were pretty flavorless, the bean enchilada just tasted like mush and the cheese one lacked much character as well. Sadly the sauce and salsas available didn't really help add much either as they were pretty weak. The margarita I ordered was really good though and a very fair price. This would be a great place to go grab drinks for happy hour but the food itself was pretty lacking. read more

This is place is a hit or miss.. my 4th time here, I usually dine in alone or ordered take out.. I have noticed the service is awful! At first I thought bc most of the time I've dine alone... but today my husband and I came in and we sat at the bar. Our waitress was polite at first but after she took our order and gave us our drink we didn't see her again... then I had flag and asked someone else to order another drink and the waitress said "I'm not your waitress, I'll tell your waitress to come to you" with an attitude... then again my waitress disappeared. We asked for a side of queso for our meal we finished our meal and came after, and they still charged us for it.. Food is okay! It's not the best. Service is bad. First visit to Cancun, it was very good. I had the Pollo Yucatan, which is a grilled chicken breast with grilled red, green and yellow peppers, onions, tomatoes, zucchini and mushrooms. The chicken was cooked perfectly, the vegetables did need a little salt, but the dish was great with a little added seasoning...rice, beans and tortillas were also included. They had Tres Leches Cake on the menu, which I love, so I had to get in on some of that action. The cake was great, soaked with the sweet milk with whipped cream on top and drizzled with chocolate syrup, a really nice ending to the meal. They have a good variety to choose from on the menu, they even offer Horchata to drink, which I did have and it was really good. The service was great on my visit, I'm sure I'll stop back by when I'm in the area. read more

This place used to be good. This was the worst experience at a Mexican restaurant I've ever had. The food was terrible. My tomatoes were literally white. We were brought fajitas and never got plates to eat on. Had to eat off the foil that our tortillas were in as plates. I still tipped well due to the waitress having a language barrier and I couldn't imagine working in food service and not know the language my customers spoke. It was not her fault. Not my favorite restaurant on this trip. I ordered a "house salad" it was lettuce, tomatoes and refried beans in a taco bowl. It ended up being like lettuce soup with the aforementioned. The lettuce was wet and the excess moisture turned the refried beans and sour cream into a soupy mess. So, imagine that visual. Runny sour cream and bean soup with lettuce floating in it. In an ever degrading taco bowl. They may have better food here, I only know what I received. I got a cheese burger to go also. It actually wasn't that bad. It was a good size, no complaints there. An urge to devour Fajitas or some Enchiladas can be easily satiated at this comfortable and friendly restaurant; I have been a customer here for seven years and have had a pleasant experience upwards every single time. I have had the pleasure of building a friendly acquaintanceship with the staff, and they have never broken character. This would be one of my favorite characteristics of Cancun, consistency. This is however not an implication of just consistent service, but the food remains just as good as the first time I visited the restaurant. Your menu consists of mostly expected dishes and some interesting additions, like a Mexican hotdog - very, very, very good btw. My personal favorite selection from the menu would be the pork Carnitas (pulled pork with the following: rice and beans topped with queso, guacamole salad, a pickled jalapeno and tortillas), the spicy jalapeno salsa and a nice Negro Modelo. I was unsure about liking a sauce on an entree- so my server brought me a side of it to try with my chips before I ordered the entree, I didn't even have to ask. The salsa tasted fresher than any I'd had at nearby Mexican places. And the cheese dip was very good too. The food was brought out piping hot, and amazing. DON'T Order food to go while sitting outside on their patio. Although they will take your order there, your food order will sit at the register FOREVER and no one every bothers to tell you. I discovered this from another customer after mine set chilling for 45 minutes. I informed the waiter I wasn't going to accept food that had set like that, and I was told they would re-prepare my order. A few minutes later, the order was given to me but it was obvious when I got home 6 blocks later, at best they had placed the order near the stove to warm rather than redo my three-dinner order. I returned to the restaurant to voice my concern to the manager on duty who offered no excuse and no apology for the service I'd received. In fact, he was somewhat cavalier about the incident. I have enjoyed this restaurant's food in the past but they have permanently lost me as a customer. I hope the owner of this resturant sees this and takes steps to eliminate the practice. I absolutely loved this place until today. I went to lunch with two of my friends and sat down had the worst waitress ever! She had an attitude the whole time. When she brung us our drinks we didn't see anything but was very late on refills when we got our food is when she brung the refill took a sip before I realized there was a FLY! In my tea. had to flag down the waitress. Also the food was disgusting... tamale was dryer then a desert changed my drink to a water and still found something in my drink. Don't know what it was but still gross. I have spent a lot of money here in the past with my boyfriend and then to get treated with a sucky attitude and then all this.. didn't even offer for anything and she left the food and everything on the table. My boyfriend also ate bad shrimp the other night I will not be back here! This was the first time our family tried Cancun. Years ago we ate here frequently when it was Monterrey. We weren't terribly impressed with the food. Other local Mexican restaurants like La Cocina and La Fiesta are both better choices. We were even less impressed with the service. The only reason we tried Cancun was because our "Attractions" coupon books (the ones a lot of local schools and non-profits sell for fundraisers) had buy one get one free dinner combos #1-10. There was also a BOGO lunch combo #1-10, but we brought the dinner coupon. The waiter said we couldn't use it. We asked for a manager. Instead, the waiter brought a waitress (who presumably knew a few more English words than the waiter). After 10-15 minutes of these two telling us that they only have numbered combos for lunch and discussing whether or not there is a difference in the translations of "lunch" and "dinner", they finally brought a manager who glanced at it and said "no problemo. buy one combo, one combo is free." Cool. We ordered the dinner combos. Unfortunately, 5 people in our party of 7 were served a good 10 minutes before our dishes came out. My grandma had to ask for silverware several times. It took about 10 minutes after she got her food before they brought silverware. When we got the bill, the waiter hadn't applied the coupon. I pointed it out and he came back with a modified check. But instead of giving me BOGO like the coupon said, he knocked $5 off when it should have been $7.99. I know that's a small amount to squabble over, but the coupon is the only reason we chose this place. They chose to advertise through coupons, they should be ready to honor them. I sent the check back again. They finally fixed it, but with the waiter tending to several other tables it took a good 30 minutes or more to check out. While we were waiting for our check, I watched one of the waiters go behind the bar and start to make a drink. He didn't seem like he knew what he was doing. He pulled down a bottle of 1800 Reposado Select Silver, held it at eye level and saw that there was barely a splash left in it. He poured it anyway (probably not even half of a shot). He then walked away and came back with another waiter who pulled down a bottle of 1800 Reposado Silver and added it to the Select Silver then finished mixing the drink. To me, that's dishonest. Whoever ordered that drink paid for the more expensive Select Silver and thought that's what they were getting. I doubt we'll go back to Cancun. read more

My fiancé and I have ate here several times in the past and have always had good good and good customer service. Tonight was not one of those times. We arrived around 6 and there was hardly anyone in the place. All the employees were sitting in a back booth playing on their phones. I ordered a chicken burrito and my fiancé ordered a steak quesadilla with rice and beans. I got a steak burrito instead of chicken. My fiancé didn't get rice or beans. Our waiter never refilled our drinks nor came to check on us til we were ready to leave. We had to ask another waiter waking by for napkins. The food was good overall just bad service. read more
