Decided to stop one night driving through Burlington on the way back home. It wasn't too busy, but it was busy enough for a Thursday evening. Iwas at by the bar and .y waitress was Lozano. She was very pleasant and attentive. I order the full portion of the Chicken Chimichanga with comes with 2 ... even though I should've not been get and just order the half portion which comes with 1. The Chicken Chimichangas came with a Lettuce salad with sour cream, guac, refried beans and rice. All in all, it was really good and staff were divisors walking around making sure everyone had what they needed! I will definitely be stopping by again! Until next time.....

It's been a while since we've tried San Marco's. Price has went up (like everywhere) but the portion size was great! Service was wonderful, music was upbeat and the mood was live. Really enjoyed our dinner!

First time going here and it was great. When I looked this up to write a review I was really surprised it doesn't have more stars. The service was incredible. It's a big restaurant with a lot of staff and everyone we came in contact with was so warm and friendly. Service was also really quick. The cheese dip and chimichanga were delicious. We didn't get drinks but we were near the bar and they looked great. The bar area also just looks cool. The decor here is really cool and gives the place a good vibe. Overall the food was good, maybe not as good as a couple of my favorite Mexican spots but still giving 5 stars because the service and vibes were top notch.

IYKYK..just in case you don't..this is my opinion of San Marcos Mexican Restaurant, was seated immediately (party of myself), waitress came immediately and took drink order, the menu had many options. I ordered a chicken dish with grilled veggies, it was tasty and I enjoyed it. The portion was good. The only downside was the utensils were not clean and I had to ask for napkins.

The service was terrible the waiter only came to our table 3 times that is including when he took our order. The food was ok but this is not what we ordered. Will not go bk for awhile

We passed by on a whim and the same mediocre service as last time. I don't think anyone smiles in here. It was empty with a lot of wait staff hanging around talking super loud. Again our server came by once and we had to wave her down. Today's food was only so-so. The carnitas tastes like baked pork loin and the rice was very hard. I forgot to mention the table was wet when we were seated and the waitress who came by to clean it was very angry when she asked where the table was dirty. I pointed it out to her and she cleaned it with such force and annoyance. Today's food 3/5 and service was a 2/5.

Food was very tasty. Service was fast. We did not have to wait on a table at 6:30 pm on a Friday night. It was very colorfully decorated and a little loud but not unusual or unpleasant. My only complaint is the amount of guacamole I got for $6.50. It was about half a cup. I have paid that at other restaurants and gotten way more. I would definitely eat here again.

This strip in Burlington has almost every restaurant ever known, so naturally, we found the Mexican place! They were busy and seemed to stay that way, so expect a wait. Both food and drink menus are extensive, offering a variety of choices. They bring chips and salsa as yoir sitting down! There was something about the chips, we could not stop eating them! Food prices were pretty on par, but drinks seemed pricey to me. This is not a place to come if you want a quiet, relaxing atmosphere. The restaurant is nicely decorated but very bright lights and the noise level is high due to families and kids throughout. Overall good experience, good quality good! Service was friendly and efficient, and the manager came out to the dining room offlteb to check on guests and help waitstaff.

The food was fair. I ordered the carne asada tacos and they were yummy. Though, I wish my sides were warmer, especially the beans. My friend decided on a chicken quesadilla but mentioned the wasn't enough cheese provided. Overall, the seasoning and flavors were good. The interior was decorated with some lovely art throughout. Upon being seated, I didn't feel crowded though several large groups were dining in during my visit. A friend and I decided to stop in for a late lunch on a Sunday around 1 pm or so. The service was swift and pleasant. I didn't catch our server's name but he made sure we were well accommodated.

My wife and I came here for lunch a few Sundays ago. This is one of our "go to" spots in Burlington. This time I tried some new things and not "the usuals" Wow! I'm glad I did. I tried the Chile toreado appetizer. Jalapeño grilled with onions lime juice and salt. It has heat (if you like it a little milder then remove the seeds). This was amazing! I was in the mood for steak so I had the carne en su jugo. It's strips of bottom round steak cooked in a green Chile enchilada sauce with other veggies. I highly recommend trying some of a the traditional Mexican food on the menu. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

We recently had a Teambuilding event here and there were no complaints. I thought I'd try something new! It definitely made a statement when the brought it out! If you're looking to try something new, give it a chance! YUM!!

STAY AWAY!!!!! Went…read morehere for my birthday. Ordered a chicken burrito that came with grilled peppers and onions. The onions in the first bite were burned totally black. I tried to eat more to see if it was just in one spot or part of the burrito.I tried several bites but the entire flavor was of burned, charred food. When the server came back and asked how everything was I told her the food was not good and showed her the totally charred onions. She said "okay, I will take it off of your bill." I said thank you and she took the plate away. I sat there eating nothing while my husband finished his meal. Left with a nasty burn after taste in my mouth. At the register, the same lady who told me she would take the meal off of the bill informed me the cook has said I had to pay 1/2 because I had eaten about 1/2 of the burrito. I told her I only did that hoping it would get better and it did not. I told her it was my birthday and it was not a good experience, and that it was incredulous to me any owner or manager of a business who KNEW he sent that burned food out to a table would take such a position. She said she would go back to the cook again. I told her I would like to speak to him directly. I was never rude. Unbelievably, she came back and said the cook said "next time send the food back sooner." Yes, he said this. Not even an apology for the crap he sent to our table. I told her I had no need to come to that restaurant and eat some of my food, send it back and then try to get to get it for free. I was never offered a replacement. I told her there was a distinct difference between grilled onions and BURNED TO CRISP onions. I understand that this does happen at times, but this was our first and will be our last. I am sure others have wonderful experiences here, but having to be lectured by a server was both distasteful and a big turn off for us. Beware if you go here, they are more interested in your money than your enjoyment of a well cooked and delicious meal. And they do NOT understand the me and of hospitality.

As my friend and I followed behind her to be seated, I began to notice that she was leading us away from everyone else and toward an isolated area near the bar. What immediately stood out to me was that no one else was seated there, and neither of us drinks. At the same time, I could clearly see several empty tables available in the front dining area where all of the Caucasian customers were seated. As an African American woman, I felt confused, saddened, and deeply uncomfortable. It was difficult not to question why we were being separated from everyone else. With respect, I explained to the waitress that I did not want to sit "in the back" and politely asked if we could be seated in the same area as the other guests. She appeared visibly annoyed and stated that she would have to go ask someone. At that moment, I had no desire to argue or create a confrontation. No one should have to feel unwelcome or question whether they are being treated differently while simply trying to enjoy a meal. Rather than endure further embarrassment or discomfort, my friend and I quietly chose to leave. It was frustrating to experience something that made me feel unseen and separated while spending my money just like every other customer. I am not my ancestors, and I refuse to accept being made to feel hidden, excluded, or less deserving because of the color of my skin. Every person deserves to be treated with dignity, respect, and equality!
