Favorite go-to Mexican place. They have just recently rennovated the place so now it is a lot more open and has a long bar in the back. A much better set up than before where it felt dark and closed off. Good place to watch a game and have a cerveza or bring the family for lunch. White cheese dip: must. Chimichangas are fantastic and plenty for one person to eat and still have leftovers. I like the taco salad - they don't skimp on the veggies which I love. She messed up our Margs with our rims switched so we politely asked for two glasses with new rims , not even new drinks just the glasses with the correct rims, they weren't busy nor was my gf rude when she asked for them. Two of us walked up to the front counter yesterday and the guy sitting there waited until we crossed the entire 10+ feet from the entrance to pick up a menu and casually skim it. I waited about 10 seconds while he ignored us, then quietly counted down from 5, planning to leave when I hit zero. He made it at 1. We were the only ones waiting and it was ridiculously obvious he knew we were there and made it clear he was blowing us off. The waiter took long enough that I did the same thing, counting down from 10 after waiting about 5+ minutes for him to come back. Again, place was nearly empty. He made it, barely, and only because I stopped the count midway to mumble, "oh man, I don't wanna do this ..." The fajitas were decent, not bad or good. The chicken quesadilla gave my dining pal a stomach ache so I took the chicken home and ate it the next day. My stomach was fine but I had to run for the bathroom about 45 minutes after eating. Please understand why I won't be going back. There are a ton of Mexican places in Knoxville, many great. We have eaten at Cancun many times over the decades and chips were always included with the meal... as they are at almost every Mexican restaurant I've ever eaten at! Think twice before dining here if you have a food allergy. Just picked up to-go food only to get home and find that the very clear and concise directions given we're not followed. Called up just to get it refunded from the check since I didn't want to drive back out. Apparently the POS system or the manager is incomplete and cannot do that without physically having the CC at the terminal. My fault for being a trusting person but I didn't double check the dish before getting home; I just wanted to get home and have dinner with my family. 3.5 Fast service for the hungry folks! After placing our order, the chips and salsa followed shortly. This is the first time I didn't finish the chips and salsa. The chips were super thin and not as addicting as they usually are. I love that they weren't salty and the salsa texture wasn't runny. I ordered the Lunch special #3, which consisted of the bean burrito, cheese wrap, rice. Luckily my friend didn't want his greens and guacamole so I added that to my plain rice and that made a huge difference. The cheese wrap was surprisingly to my likings. This was better than my previous experience where the cheese was just a block but this cheese was warm, melted but still thick. The bean burrito, well it's a mush of beans. Overall disappointment. We came in here expecting average Mexican food, and we received below the standard. Service is alright, the food is just downright sad. We ordered a side of guac, which was bland and unfortunate. My friend ordered a steak Mexicana, which was dry and unsalted. I had an enchilada dish that was just doused in cooking oil. The restaurant was maybe half full. It took approximately 40 minutes to get our food. A couple orders were incorrect. What was worse was the food was barely warm. The sour cream dabbed on top looked and felt like it had been out of the refrigerator for some time. To top it all off, when they finally brought our tickets, one of us was charged $6.50 gratuity on a $7.99 lunch! Again, this was the first bad meal at this location. Will I try them again? This is a good little Mexican restaurant! Located in the same shopping center as Kroger, this place would be hard to miss. I always start with cheese dip. The service is pretty speedy service, which I like. You never have to ask twice. My personal favorite is the Chicken Fajita Quesadilla. The Quesadilla is not flat like you would normally find, they make it look like an extra large soft shell taco stuffed with cooked fajita style chicken, tomatoes, bell peppers, and onions. :) You can never have enough cheese so I always add a little more to my quesadilla. Went here for dinner tonight with friends. Had a server named Charlotte who clearly didn't care about customer service. To start with, my friend and I ordered margaritas. She got a jumbo one (not top shelf) and I got a regular FROZEN one. I confirmed with Charlotte that the price was $5. She brings me back a margarita on the rocks. I tell her politely that I actually asked for a frozen and she says "Oh you didn't tell me that." Um, yes I did. Had to get my friends to back me up on that one before she took it back and brought me a new one. Refills didn't happen unless we asked and our server avoided looking up the entire time lest we ask for something. One of my friend's sandwiches did not come with all the toppings and was basically a piece of thin chicken with some lettuce on top. Where were the tomatoes and onion? So then the bill comes and my friend's margarita ends up being $9. All Charlotte said at the beginning was that if we ordered a top shelf one, it would only be $0.50 more. My bill ended up saying "top shelf" and yet it was still $5. That made absolutely no sense so when asking the server about it, she basically just shrugged her shoulders at it. While the manager we spoke to tried to refund the money, my friend did not accept it but was still offered no apology for the misleading information. I used to be a server, so I get that things happen (and if the situation is rectified then it's no harm, no foul). But when mistakes were brought to the attention of our server, all we got was attitude and arguments before she attempted to correct the situation. Not okay. All in all, the food and drinks were pretty good but the service was literally the worst I have had in my entire life. My friends have also had poor service from the same server on previous occasions, and nothing has changed apparently. Unless you have the patience to correct and double check the prices (they don't list drink prices on the menu by the way) and every little detail, then AVOID the headache of this place as there are other Mexican places in the area that are just as good and with better service! read more

This was the most unprofessional experience I've ever had with any waitress/ waiter in my life. I have been to multiple cities and eat out quite a bit. So tonight 08/13/2021 at about 7:45 pm we decided we would eat at one of my favorite restaurants which was the worst experience ever. The table was sticky, so I asked could the table be wiped off. The young lady was very disgruntled in the fact that she had to wipe the table off. So after that she came to ask us what we wanted to drink and was a total smarty pants. She answered me the way one of my teenagers does. So I asked to speak with the manager and explained the situation with her attitude. The manager proceeds to ask me if I was forward with her in the beginning? I said I asked her could we get the table wiped off because it was sticky so she had an attitude.
