My husband originally called and asked what a wash and blowout cost and was quoted "$80" for our dog, breed- golden doodle roughly 60 lbs. We were told he would be out in 2 hours. Two things : 1.He was not out in 2 hours rather out by 4/5 hours. 2. The price was drastically different from what we were quoted. *also we had to wait for the owner to open up for our 8 am appointment. Once I received my call to pick up my dog, you receive an automated phone call requesting you pay over the phone. We were charged $110 dollars for a wash and blow out plus an additional $15 dollars for a brushout? Total of $125 This is MORE than what we pay for his full body groom . We have been going to this groomer for about 7 months now. This is the only groomer that I have used since moving to Riverside. I went with this groomer because they were one of the only groomers that was accepting new clients in mid 2021 and I loved their work. They are located in a shopping center across the street from the Galleria at Tyler. I own a 2 year old labradoodle female. She is scared of new people and never seems to afraid of the groomers there. She lets them pet her with no apprehension and follows them to the back. Her haircuts are always beautiful. We usually get a bath and tidy, but in the most recent visit we needed a full groom. Our dog came back happy and fresh. We got her teeth clean because of bath breath, and now her breath is fresh and has been fresh for about 5 days now. Her bath and tidy is usually $55. Her groom with detangling conditioner and teeth brush was $100. We will continue to use this groomer for her. read more

DONT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR PETS I've been coming to Plush Pups for almost 2 years now and I never had a problem with them until my last appointment with them. I had an appt at 8am, I dropped him off on time. I had work at 10am so I had plans for my mom to pick him up. It's past the 3 hour mark and we still haven't gotten the call to pick him up so my mom goes to ask. They tell her it's going to be another 45 minutes due to my dog "pooping himself" (which he never does!! He is trained to only go outside) I'm at work during this time and I see my moms message around 12. (He still wasn't ready yet!) I called for an update because at this time it's been FOUR hours. They tell me "oh I'm sorry he's actually ready now and for the inconvenience the grooming is free today" they proceed to tell me that it took longer because my dog is bleeding because "he bit his tongue". So which one is it? Did he poop himself or were you guys just waiting for him to stop bleeding to call me to pick him up??? My mom picks him up and she starts crying because he's bleeding, so I leave work and take him to the vet. It might have been a small cut but this is the first time I've ever experience this. The "bite" is right in the center on his tongue (which is weird) the vet even told me herself it looked like they accidentally snipped his tongue while trimming his face. I understand accidents happen but when you're keeping my dog for HOURS without giving me an update about what happened until I call? Idk seems suspicious to me. We have been bringing our two dogs since before the pandemic, and have always been happy with the services until this last visit. After our most recent visit we will not be returning. TL;DR: Made an appointment ahead of time, was told it would take two hours, it took 5. They left my dogs alone in the store for an unknown amount of time. AND charged me a $60 late pickup fee on top of their already inflated prices. I called in on a Thursday to make an appointment, there was an 11:00am availability on Saturday. I asked approximately how long it would take and was told 2 hours. I arrived on time for my appointment, dropped them off and continued on my day. After not hearing from the salon I called to check in at 2:40, they had been there for almost 4 hours at this point. I was informed that they has JUST finished their baths and drying, and that it would be another hour. Because, I had other obligations that day I arranged for my husband to pick them up. We were informed that they were done at 3:45pm. My husband was on his way but hit unexpected traffic, and they called to let him know that it would be and extra $30 charge for ever hour late. I was forced to go pick them up. I arrived at 5:10pm. When I arrived, I knocked and rang the doorbell. After about five minutes of knocking and ringing, my dogs and the dog they have in the store were all barking. I called the number and was told that someone would be at the door shortly. Another five minutes later two of the girl groomers pulled up to the parking lot with Baker's takeout bags in their hands, and said that the other "workers" must not heard because it was "loud" in the back. The entire time I was there paying, and picking up my dogs (the only ones left) I NEVER once saw or heard another person in the building. They left my dogs unsupervised for an undisclosed amount of time. Adding insult to injury, they charged me $220 for two small dog grooming stating that I was being charged and a $60 late pickup fee, after they left my dogs unattended and unsupervised. I am extremely disappointed. I understand dogs take time, but I have never had a groomer take 5 hours for my two small dogs. At least they could have given me a realistic time period so I could schedule another day or adjust my schedule accordingly. Additionally, they could have easily called and let me know how long they were actually going to take, so I could make arrangements ahead of time. Instead I was the one that had to reach out. Ultimately, it is unacceptable to leave my dogs unsupervised for any given amount of time, and them blatantly lie to my face about it. For the pricing, and "luxury" experience they're trying to sell I expect my dogs to be treated with care, not negligence. read more

Read the reviews. They will not contact you to pick up your dog! They will not honor the quote that they give you even if you get the quote in person with your dog ahead of time. This groomer used to be very good but their service has depreciated over the past couple of years as their prices have gone up. They quoted me 70$ for a bath for my medium-sized double-coated dog *in person with my dog* because they said they needed to see my dog to tell me a quote. When I dropped her off for her appointment they took her back right away. They told me they would call when it was time for her to be picked up but that she should be ready around 2pm. I called a little after 2pm and they said she was not ready and that they would call me. I never received a call but I knew they closed at 4pm so at 3:30pm I drove over. I was worried something had happened to my dog because they had not called or texted and she had been there since 11 in the morning. I picked up my dog and told the groomer that I knew I was supposed to wait until she called me but that I also knew she was supposed to be closing soon. She said that the app they use had called me at 2:27 pm and that upset me. I can't imagine relying on an app for a phone call or text. She verified that my number was correct in their system and it was. I had no call, no text, and my dog sat in a fenced area for an hour just because they couldn't be bothered to call or text me when they knew I was waiting. The app doesn't work but other owners have posted online reviews to say that they didn't get a call (and even had to pay a late fee). So, there is no reason for them not to know that the app doesn't work. The groomer then proceeded to charge me 105$ (before the tip) for my dog. I was so angry I didn't trust myself to say that she was overcharging me. I paid and left a 15$ tip because its the US and you have to tip. I told my husband that I was upset that our regular groomer was no longer going to be our groomer because of this experience. He talked me into going back to ask them to make at least the over-charging issue right and to let them know their app does not work for contacting owners. My husband spoke to the groomer to let her know the issues. My dog is a 50-pound medium-sized dog with a double coat but they insisted on overcharging me and doubled down when we tried to get them to correct the mistake. They said they have a camera going in the front with a microphone and they could prove that they had quoted me 90$ not 70$. They also said that 90$ is the minimum they charge for any German shepherd. Please note my dog is NOT a German shepherd. They said they reviewed the footage but they wouldn't let my husband see it. They said the microphone was over at the front desk and the groomer had quoted me while standing in the back area by the door so the conversation wasn't audible. He then asked them since they couldn't prove that they had quoted me for a large dog if they would honor the quote they gave us and refund the 20 difference. They said they couldn't do that but that the owner had told them to give me back my 15$ tip. My husband and I are both horrified that the owner is taking out her bad policies and practices on the staff who clearly need better practices and training from someone with leadership skills. After having been a recurring and happy customer for some years before this, I will never be using this groomer again. I strongly recommend that other pet parents find a trustworthy groomer elsewhere. read more

I found this gem from yelp. I mean almost 100 reviews and still 5 stars, too good to be true. I think the reviews tho kinda didn't help in their favor because I had expected some things that weren't offered at the time. For example, some reviews said they were emailed pictures of their dogs after their grooming, other reviews said that you got to pick your bandanas that you could choose for your dog. Both of these options weren't offered to me and i even asked about it after. I'm also disappointed because I'm reading a picture i took and it said i got to choose the shampoo or conditioner used for my dog, but I was never told about that option either. Besides that disappointment tho (I would have never known about these cute perks if it wasn't for yelp tho lol) the overall grooming is solid. I'll start from the beginning. I messaged on yelp regarding pricing and service options. I was quickly responded back with those answers. I inquired about a bath bc my dogs do not need to have any hair cut, they shed and do that enough on their own. The basic bath option includes a bath, nails trimmed, cleaned ears, anal glands cleanse, a pet cologne spray which you choose for your pet to be sprayed on, and a bandana. These services cost $30 dollars for each dog. I was told to call for an appointment and I called that day and got an appointment for both of my dogs. They told me it would roughly take about an hour for both of my dogs and it did. So everything was smooth. Both my dogs looked and smelled good, although I think they could've done better on my dogs nails. It still looked kind of long. I don't know if they were scared to go too short on my dog because he had black nails. It wasn't all uniform on the cut. I notice these things on my babies. I'll definitely go back because of the good price and quick service, but maybe next time I'll have them pay more attention to my dogs nails bc they do grow very quickly and if they don't trim it correctly it's just a waste. I'll let that part pass and still give 4 stars because they really are efficient and their price is reasonable. Don't expect to pick your bandanas or get an emailed pic of your dog tho, that doesn't happen anymore. Again what you have on your board (in my pictures) should match your services. If you say we can choose certain things it should still be honored otherwise change the board, like me choosing a bandana or choosing the shampoo. Also tip on their location...it is off magnolia and hole in a small shopping center on the very corner. read more
