Stopped in for brunch on a whim after visiting a local bakery. Ordered chicken and waffles plus chicken fried bacon; yes, chicken fried bacon. Huge portions. Good prices. Great service. My only critique is that the food could have been seasoned better. The breading was on the bland side. Be sure to try the spicy maple syrup if you get the chicken and waffle. I'm sure the food is good but they must be severely understaffed. Took 10 min to get coffee and a water, another 10 min to have our orders taken, another 35 min to get our food and another 5 to get refill of coffee and silverware. Our food was barely warm, my daughters eggs werent cooked right and my waffle tasted like it was frozen and microwaved. All this would've been made better if our waitress had said a quick I'm so sorry for the wait but nothing. She was to busy chatting with the regulars. I'd like to try this place when they actually have more staff but who knows when they ever will. read more

Solid diner in downtown Jackson. I ordered a 6 item omelette with bacon, onion, sausage, mushroom, hash browns (inside), and gravy on top. It was quite good and at a reasonable price. It came with choice of bread and I went with whole wheat toast. The bread was very good and it seems that this place takes pride in it. The service was a bit slow and nonchalant. It also took quite a while to get our food (albeit it was a Sunday morning). I had to ask for my silverware when the food came out. I will definitely go back to try more of their menu. read more

If I could have gave this place a zero I would have my first time in this place, this place is a mess they had 2 waitresses on with the place really not being busy. The waitresses was a young lady who has a personality of a rock, we waited 45 minutes with no interaction with the no personality waitress and still no food. I went to ask her where are food was and she was rolling silverware and had no idea where are food was at, this place is terrible and I would and will never go here again. read more

This was so outrageously good, I was legitimately upset. The bacon was somehow the tastiest bacon I've consumed in my life. What the hell are they doing back there? Then - out comes God himself in the form of the chicken & waffle I ordered. The maple syrup hot sauce was the finest taste my mouth has ever discovered in years. I'm not really the yelp reviewer type but I'll break form for this place. Waited almost 45 minutes for an abomination of a chicken and waffle meal. The one piece of chicken was coated in an inch of undercooked breading and was ridiculously huge, it looked like a deep fried softball. The waffle was hard and everything was dry. I would have sent it back but I didn't want to wait another 35-40 minutes for a different order. Overall, don't eat here. read more

WOW!! we went to BZB cafe and never in my life have I been treated with so much disrespect in my life, 1st we waited almost an hour ,when I asked for check for the coffee and milk that we ordered with breakfast the waitress told us are food was up next and that they were really busy before we got there mind you there were only 4 tables of customers when we arrived, then when we got the food my wife was on her second bite when she pulled about a 4-inch hair out of her mouth when we told the owner she said sarcastically I don't know how that could happen because our cook wears a cap, needless to say we walked out never again will I step foot in that restaurant and I wish I could have gave it to 0 Stars!! read more

Went here for the first time since new ownership. There were a few changes, but it was still familiar feeling. Had the biscuits and gravy topped with eggs. It was very good. Prices and service were quite good as well. Coffee was plentiful but very average. I will have to go back more often and try some of the interesting lunch items on the menu. I can not say enough of how much I love this place! We usually order the chicken fried steak and egg breakfast , along with a regular no meat breakfast and share. The steak is huge! The sausage gravy is the best on the planet! I should say, sausage and bacon gravy. The blueberry pancakes impressed me. I do not like blueberries but I love these pancakes! Nothing we've had is anything short of YUM! Candy and her staff are attentive, friendly people. I only wish they would stay open later on the weekends. read more

Writing this on behalf of my grandma (who doesn't use the internet). Her church group visited this location for breakfast this week. To make a long story short a person in the group was recognized by some of the employees and at the end of their meal the employees offered them a "special cookie" with something vulgar written on it. No matter what problem the employees had with this person...work is not the place for this behavior and it reflects badly on the cafe. I am writing this review in hopes that the situation will not be ignored. Like really... My grandma did write a letter to the owner as well but a letter is way easier to ignore. read more

It looked like a nice little restaurant and had nice waitresses when we came in. The problem was the management. My brother and I went here for breakfast, I just got coffee & he got a bunch of food along side the country fried steak. He said the country fried steak tasted like it was cooked with fish and tasted gross. He asked if it was possible to exchange it for something else after only taking 1 bite. The manager didnt even talk to us herself, but instead sent the waitress & told her she couldnt do anything about it. Just poor management skills. We go out for breakfast together almost every morning and always leave more then 20% tips. We still left about 30% tip since we always do and it wasnt the waitresses fault. We sadly wont be returning here and I wont be suggesting it to friends either. Feeling like ordering breakfast is a game of russian roulette, (you might get something good you might get something gross) just isnt the relaxing experience we enjoy going out for breakfast to get. Went to Candi's BzB's cafe with my daughter Yesterday to see Santa, an eat breakfast. Well I me an my daughter waited for our food three hours. So I tell the lady to cancel my order before she brings it, she said well it ready an slams the plate in front of me. So I nicely put the plate on the counter an said I don't want it so the waiter Sherry is her name said well, she is refusing to pay for her food. So am I calling the Police, I said in a tone so they can here me I'm paying for my daughters food not mine cause I didn't eat the waiter Sherry comes back with the tab an says infront of my daughter you want a free meal it's paid for. WOW, So the Police came go my side then they talked to them, the police walked back over an said to me the owner said it would be nice if I didn't come back if I didn't like the service. WOW I told him to explain to my 6 year old daughter what they said. He wouldn't tell her so I did in front of the police we where not welcome there anymore. So the owner who said coffee cups have stains on it this is a restaurant said I'll pay for ur daughter's meal. I think not, so I paid for her food. No officer that was dispatched even walked us out or even made sure my daughter was okay to have to go threw something as such sad y'all can do better than that SMH SO SAD They get no star please help an share read more
