    Lots of garden decor
    Alma S.

This is a small store with a small parking lot, but it was packed with lots of different items that were enjoyable & cute to browse--outdoor & garden decor, toys, candy, magnets, pet lover items, knickknacks, signs, decals, yard flags... We weren't greeted when we entered, but the staff was very friendly & helpful at checkout. We bought some fragile items that were carefully wrapped. It got busy before we left & there isn't much wiggle room to form a checkout line, get around, or find a place to stand that's out of the way when others are there.

    2 lbs of tasteless candy

I'm VERY DISAPPOINTED! We bought $20 worth of taffy($10/lb) and most of the flavors are TASTELESS. There's a few that BARELY have flavor. The cinnamon has the best flavor. A few days ago, I bought taffy at Patrick's salt water taffy. It's way better. I should have read the reviews for candy and kites before going not after.

The outside of this shop is quite charming, as a lot of different kinds of wind-powered displays are up all outside the store, as well as some cute flags. Once you head inside of the store, you'll see a lot of candy to your left, and also a lot of kites and other tourism memorabilia-like stickers. It was a perfect place for my husband and I to find a kite, get a sticker souvenir, and grab a snack ! The lady at the cashier was also nice and attached some kind of pin to the kite we purchased. Later, when we tried to fly the kite at a nearby beach, we were wondering why it would not fly well and began to worry about our purchase. However, we found out a missing part had slid out of the packaging at the beach and later spotted so if that is the case for your, please make sure to check everything in your kite package ! This was also a nice place to walk around after my husband and I had lunch at the Boathouse. Overall, it was a nice, quaint shop to visit !

The man working there when I went was super nice. I came in with my boyfriend because we were visiting Bodega Bay and I wanted to try some taffy. They have a pretty good selection and he even lets you try some. I grabbed about 10 pieces and brought it to the counter because that's all I wanted. He said that the minimum on credit cards was $1 so I went back to grab more. I asked what he suggested and when I brought back the wrong one, he let me know. He didn't seem to mind that I kept switching which ones I wanted. On the side he was joking with my boyfriend about me being expensive which was really funny because I spent 10 minutes choosing $1 worth of taffy. Some other customers walked in and strikes conversations with him and it seemed like he has regulars who like to check on new items. They have kites, little toys, and a bunch of other things. I'd love to see how different this place looks like during a season with heavy foot traffic. Swing by, see what you think, worse case is that you walk away with $1 worth of taffy. Not a bad deal for 5-10minutes.

    Gummy Bears!!

Great little store the owners are incredibly nice and helpful. I bought a bunch of garden spinners/wind catchers from them, and the owner was very kind to ask if I had ever set them up before. I'm glad he asked because had he not explained it to me, it would have taken us much longer to set it up when we got home. The instructions on the bag are clear, but I'm a visual learner so when he pointed to the dots and where to get started it helped me with the instructions when we finally got home. The pieces are beautiful and I will definitely be back one day to get the bigger item I have my eyes set on!!! I've never been a taffy person, so when I saw the little gummy bears I decided to give them a try. Oh man, they were super delicious!! Juicy and just the right amount of soft and chewy. They sort of just bounce in your mouth. Incredibly flavorful so it wasn't just a mouthful of boring sugar like other generic store brands. You could taste the citrus and tartness of the combined flavors. Loved it!! Wish I could have bought another little bag, but my husband was already coming through the door before I could quietly tell the owner to secretly ring me up for it. Hahahaha.

If your looking for a new spiffy spinner this is your spot. A classic kite shop in Bodega Bay that has been here as long as I can remember. In fact and early childhood memory was coming here for a kite. This has a great location on your way through Bodega Bay. In fact, you can't miss the dozens and dozens of whirley gig spinners spinning about in the wind. It's a true spinners delight. You know the saying, "there is a little something for everyone". Well, there is a whole lotta something for everyone . If you think of it, they got it, if they dont have it, they can order it. I was hoping to get a shark spinner. Unfortunately, they were out but one could of be ordered. Spending $45.00 on a shark spinner wasnt a priority at the moment so I decided to pass. Be sure and check out the back area. There are other doo dads back there besides spinners.

    can't miss it

Pros: Lots of different types of kites, wind related toys and some other small cheap kids toys. Friendly service. Nice yellow lab pup Cons: The candy selection is mostly salt water taffy, wish their selection of candy was as good as their selection of kites. Overall: If you have little ones in your vehicle and you're on The ONE, you have to stop here. I bought a windsock for $15 wihch was affordable for the medium size. Can't miss this store with all the WINDSOCKS and festive flags outside

Ask the Community - Candy & Kites

Do they sell kites for kids to fly?

Yes. They seemed to carry kites for all levels of skills but I am sure I saw some kids ones on the back wall. The owners were very nice and I'm sure will be happy to help you pick out just what you are looking for.

One thing I find frustrating about a lot of gift shops in 2026 is that they all seem to carry exactly the same trinkets, presumably mass-produced internationally and then stamped with local names. Having worked in and visited so many parks over the past few years, I can't help but notice how uniform and un-original the souvenirs are becoming. So, it is really refreshing to step into a gift shop that has an eclectic, unique, fun selection of reasonably-priced gifts that you would be unlikely to find anywhere else. While the merchandise at Harbor View Gifts was not necessarily bougie or locally made, it was definitely different from what you would find in Every State Park. The cashier who helped me was very friendly. As a bonus, this gift shop is located literally right on the edge of the bay. The parking lot could double as a great picnic spot. I ended up leaving with a Bodega Bay squid magnet and a small bag of taffy, which I assume was from the little taffy shop in the parking lot. The taffy alone would have been worth the stop, since it was as good as the taffy from my favorite taffy place, Candy Heaven in Sacramento.

Every single one was an enchanted talisman that could directly connect me to the ocean, and I felt the need to collect them all. For some reason I was particularly fond of the sand dollars! I'm not much of a seashell collector anymore, but I'm still mesmerized by all things ocean-related. I grew up visiting Bodega Bay every summer, shaping my love for cold, eerie, foggy, rocky beaches.. Then in the eighth grade we read the short story that the movie "The Birds" is based on by Daphne du Maurier (more horrifying than the movie, AHHHH it's so good). I developed a love for horror, and also became a big fan of Hitchcock and Kim Novak (Vertigo is one of my fave movies ever). Sooo, naturally, I was primed to become a staunch lover of Hitchock's "The Birds," filmed here in Bodega Bay. Where am I going with all this? Tides Wharf is featured in the film, and this gift shop pays beautiful homage to the movie with fantastic merch. Come here to learn all "The Birds" history and trivia and leave with all kinds of memorabilia. If you're not into "The Birds" (what is wrong with you haha) it's okay -- this spot is otherwise your traditional oceanside gift shop selling all the beachy goodies you'd ever want, from tiny puka shells to enormous conchs, to t-shirts and toys, magnets and shot glasses, local art and stationary, jewelry and mugs, candles and soaps, and so much more.
