They have an amazing selection of taffy. Lots of unique flavors. I had never been to a store like this so it was a nice experience. In addition to this, they also have quite the selection of other candies. Lots of novelties. Towards the back they have a row full of chocolate bars. We picked up some taffy, some bubblegum cigarettes, a Wonka bar, some Mazapan, some chocolate bars, and a bunch of other mini candies!

Such a cute store in Pier 39 with lots of taffy and nostalgic candy options. Priced according to the touristy area it is. I loved that you could grab a bucket and get your own mix, or grab a mixed bag -- the option I chose for a last minute white elephant gift under $10. Also grabbed some delicious, perfectly puckering sour belt candy.

Barrels and barrels of all sorts of candy!! You definitely gotta church this spot out if you have a sweet tooth! They have all kinds of candy that bring you back to when you were a kid. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Grab yourself a basket and make sure you take some candy back for family and friends!

They will not let my service animal in! I'm reporting them to the ADA as soon as I finish my amazing fields trip with my 5 girls. I was only in there to supervise them and because they sniff the candy, there not serviced. I wanted to show them the letter but the mean lady said she will call security. But ambience was nice, they just got to hire better people that will treat persons of disability appropriately.

3.5 out of 5 The selection of taffy was amazing! The interesting ones were coconut curry, POG taffy, banana cream pie and peaches and cream. It was a lot of fun picking out the flavors to bring back for my son. However, the other candies were very expensive. It was $4.99 for a special flavored KitKat bar and other special bars were around $4.99 - $6.99 which is a little too steep. It was around $14.99 for a pound of taffy. Which is a bit expensive but not too bad. I ended up spending around $17 for just over a pound. It was well worth it for all the cool flavors I chose. The guy at the cash register wasn't too friendly. Thought he would be happier or a bit friendly since this is a candy shop catering to kids. After getting the candy, I recommend going to the end of the pier where you can see a big heart statue, Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge. It's a great place to snap some photos and videos.

Looking to get your sweet tooth fix, this is the place to get your sugar rush on! Convely located in Pier 39 at the end of the Pier... all the way in the back. They have every single.kind of salt water taffy you can think of, or your heart desires. The barrels are step up so you can walk around and have candies on the left and the right. Prices are for a portion of a pound, so chose wisely as it can add up quickly!

So. Much. Taffy. You will love this candy store if you like taffy!! Even though I don't, we had a great time viewing all the different types of candies - they have a great selection of random candies, indulging Japanese matcha Kit Kat, hello Kitty candies, etc. We never give the kids candies, but since we were in the candy store, they got it each pick one they really wanted! So special!

I'm not a big fan of taffy, but when my sister came back from her trip to San Francisco, she brought back a bag full of them. Looking through the pile, I grabbed a few for myself. I didn't try any until I got home. The ones I picked out were fruity, and some were spicy. I really liked the one that had chili in it because it tasted like Mexican candy. Usually taffy sticks to my teeth, but these were soft and not as sticky.

Taffy galore, name your flavor they usually have it. They have other assorted candies as well. If you've got a sweet tooth, come on over.

Barrels and barrels on salt water taffy can be found in this place. Lots of your old favorite flavors and some interesting new ones. Watch out for those upper shelves... didn't know there were so many x-rated versions of candy paraphernalia.

Located at the very end of Pier 39 in San Francisco, the Candy Baron opened its door back in 2003 and it was no surprise that it became a huge success. Visitors of all ages enjoy the endless flavors of salt water taffy, old classics, novelty goods, and sweets from all over the world. Salt water taffy assortments range from the typical banana, green apple, passion fruit, peppermint, & vanilla. Some out of the norm flavors are xtreme hot, maple bacon, gingerbread, hot chocolate, chili mango, & buttered popcorn. Old classics that you aren't able to find regularly: Chick-O-Stick (crunchy peanut butter candy with coconut) Mary Janes (peanut and molasses candy bits) Abba Zabba (taffy with pb center) Big Hunk (peanut chunks covers with sweet nougat) Bit-O-Honey (almond bits covered in honey flavored nougat) Sunkist Fruit Gems (fruit flavored jelly candies) Novelty goods (whether they are a blast from your past, invoking childhood memories or a whimsical items from modern times) are an absolute must! Choc-Aid (chocolate bar shaped in bandaid form) Cinnamon Toothpicks Harry Potter Bean Boozled Jelly Beans Wack-O-Wax (flavored wax meant to be chewed and enjoyed like gum) All In all, a nice to store to visit and enjoy especially if you are a salt water taffy fan. There are gummies and chocolates if you aren't into that sort of thing. The cost of things are on the more expensive side but it's well worth the price tag for old school treats that aren't so readily available at your normal department store.

The treats were tasty, but on the pricier side. I believe the pricing reflects the quality of the chocolate used in the products, so to me, the pricing is justified. The outer shell of the canelé had a nice crunch, but the inside actually reminded me of a chocolate brownie, and was less custardy than your typical canelé. Despite not being super traditional, I still really enjoyed the treat. With the chocolate chip cookie, I loved the giant chunks of semi-sweet dark chocolate embedded within it. I appreciate that the cookie itself wasn't overly sweet. With most cookies, I usually can only tolerate having a few bites, or need to have a coffee in hand to enjoy it, but I didn't feel like that was the case here: both treats were delicious. Overall, I would definitely stop by Dandelion Chocolate again if I'm looking for a well-crafted, sweet treat.
