    Some sweets :)

If you're looking to fulfill a sweet tooth craving then this spot is for you. They have chocolates, fudge, hard candies and unique sweets as well. It's a cute chocolate shop and they have good customer service as well. There is definitely something for everyone here.

Chocolatier at Pier 39 [San Francisco CA] Trish's Chocolate shop is one of the many shops located inside Pier 39, Level 1, at the Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco. This chocolatier has something for everyone including chocolate-dipped strawberries, fudge, chocolate turtles, toffee, truffles, chocolate covered mini donuts and even caramel apples... and, of course, my guilty pleasure which is the milk chocolate peanut clusters. Handcrafted chocolates are $8 for 1/4-lb. Yes, I bought $8 worth... unfortunately it never made it back to our room on Mason Street which was a distance of some 0.4 mile walk, couldn't stop munching until it was all gone. So good! The shelves were well stocked and merchandise displayed neatly. Good customer service. Instagram: @trishschocolate Review #3849

Trish's Chocolate is a good place to satisfy your sweet tooth while visiting the wharf. I loved this candy shop, they have so many varieties of chocolate candy and other goodies. While you're there you will see paths employees making candy and ready to help you. I had a chocolate covered krispie marshmallow, I can't remember the name of it but that's the best description. It was so good and fresh. It's located on the wharf so it's best to take public transportation so that you don't have to worry about parking. There's no place to inside but there's are tables and seats outside where you can people watch and enjoy your candy.

Very bad costumer service I had a really disappointing experience at the chocolate store because of one of the servers. She seemed annoyed from the moment we walked in, and when we decided not to buy anything, her attitude became even worse. She acted irritated, and before we left, she made a rude hand gesture that made us feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome. Customer service should stay respectful no matter what. Sadly, this experience completely ruined the atmosphere of the store for us.

I loved the chocolate caramel turtle I purchased here and I've never seen a milk chocolate orange peel except for here. I've only cane across dark chocolate orange peels. From several chocolatiers I've spoken to, it's because of the butter fats in the chocolate and it makes it very difficult to set. I ate one peel and it was amazingly delicious. I went to one place on the pier and they tried to charge almost $27 for a single chocolate caramel turtle, yes you read that correctly TWENTY-SEVEN DOLLARS! Here I only paid $5. Yes it was smaller but dang tasty. The shop had some unique candy and the lines went very quickly. You needed to have correct cash for cash purchases. Overall this was a good choice to go with. The sales and counter people kind too.

So... much... chocolate- in every way, shape and form! I loved coming on into this place, my first time here! Besides the truffles, fudge, and mini donuts, they have so many specialty items too! I was diggin' the chocolate high heels, and they even had unique other, kinda sassy gift ideas in the back corner, like candy bras and g-strings (note-it was a tasteful display though) Lol! Overall- totally fun to look at all the different options of sweetness! I purchased dark chocolate turtles, dark chocolate dipped oreos, and dark chocolate nuts. The service was great! There were multiple workers available throughout the store to assist behind the different counters, and then when we went to pay, they were also super friendly and helpful! Definitely a must stop, even just to pop in and look around- but seriously, you probably couldn't resist just buying yourself a little something!

I'm not a huge chocolate fan, but I can smell candy apples from a mile away!!! Hahaha Massive selection of chocolate. Worth stopping by to tame the craving!

Amazing store with many options all for the sweet tooth. Loved the strawberries covered in chocolate.

I used to come here when I was young, I don't think it was Trishs 17 years ago... something else. But I remember coming and getting the rocky road and candy apple. To my surprise, a chocolate shop was still in the same location and everything inside is still the same. We got rocky road, a bunch of other chocolates in behind the glass. There were only 2 employees, friendly service. Didn't get my candied apple this time but everything was still good. A little overpriced being on the wharf but a good snack/treat!

For chocolate fanatics, lots of chocolates to try here. they have a wide selection. I came here for their fudge, was pretty good. Got the fudge and their krispy rice treats. I tasted the chocolate covered bacon, hmmm..interesting taste. It's a bit pricey since they are located in Pier 39 which is a famous tourist spot.

My kiddo wanted chocolate and asked if we could go to the other location but this one was closer so we came in here. The set up, chocolate, and candy is the same as the other store. We came for the chocolate behind the glass so I walked straight there. There were several workers with their backs turned working and a white dude who saw us standing there waiting but didn't offer to help. He just continued to shuffle papers and walked back and forth around the workers. I waited about 5 minutes and someone finally turned around and asked if we needed help. Another woman took my order (she was wearing gloves) which included 2 chocolate dipped Oreos, 4 marshmallows sticks with M&ms, 4 chocolate dipped pretzels, peanut butter cup, and a walnut turtle. Before she picked up the walnut turtle she scratched her hair grabbed my chocolate and put it in the bag. She gave me my order and I walked up to the register that had no line and waited several more minutes for the cashier to ring me up. I paid and left. The kiddos asked for their snack right away and both turned down the chocolate after one bite. They told me it didn't taste good and they didn't want it. I picked up one of dipped Oreos and right off the bat noticed that no attention was given to the way the Oreo was dipped. I took a bite and the chocolate was awful. The chocolate was not tempered to its usual consistency and taste and it was absolutely disgusting. The chocolate looked and tasted old. I ended up throwing it all away. More than $20+ of chocolate in the trash. I've purchased from the other location down the street and have never been disappointed with the taste of the chocolate and figured same owner same great taste. I was very disappointed. The service needs improvement. It does not feel welcoming entering the store or attentive at all. The workers also need to be more hygienic when handling the chocolate. Will pass on this location in the future.

Decent chocolate, overpriced of course because it's a big tourist area. A good place to go to get a quick chocolate fix, but don't expect too much. Trish's is more like a chocolate distributor. You'll find lots of Ghirardelli but also lots of other common brands found and made all over the USA. I felt like it wasn't very special since I've seen most items at big chain grocery stores. They do have a truffles/candies section in the back if you want something small and quick.

Last year I saw how insanely popular their Tokyo store was, so I finally tried this cafe for the first time because it was unusually empty as I was passing by. I had no idea what to order because the menu wasn't conspicuous to virginal visitors. Only later did I notice the drink menu on the left wall. The openly exposed desserts are what really caught my eye first. I decided to order the $6.75 Frozen Hot Chocolate because it frankly reminded me of the decadent monstrosities at the legendary Serendipity 3 in Manhattan's Midtown East (Photo 8). It was similar but not nearly as huge of pricy. I liked it a lot though with a generous dollop of whipped cream, it was more a mid-afternoon dessert. That should've been enough, but the confections on display were too inviting. Filled with 70% Takyikrom and Ghana chocolate ganache, the $8 Apple Donut was freckled with candied apple bits and tossed in spiced sugar (Photo 9). Delightfully decadent. I booked about a week in advance which I would definitely advise - these tours fill up! I was the only non-local attendee so it seems like Dandelion is best known within the city. The tour was great - our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the chocolate making process and made the experience fun! We learned about cacao beans and even got to taste the cacao fruit - which was interesting. We then went through the whole process from bean to bar and walked through the factory which was a really neat experience. There were lots of samples along the way which I enjoyed. One of the chocolate makers gave us a sneak peak of an upcoming chocolate bar! The area is spacious and there was a lot of standing - so something to be mindful of if you sign up for a tour. We ended the tour in the front room where we were treated to a free hot chocolate to end our experience. The front room also had a section of samples of their current chocolate offerings. I was happy to try them all before selecting my to-go chocolate for the ride home. I opted for the Mexican hot chocolate and it was spicy and delicious. On my way out, I saw a group arrive for a chocolate-making class so it seems like they have a bunch of different class options! I would certainly come back here for a class or to show the tour to friends and family.

It was fascinating and educational to learn about the craft of chocolates from fruit to beans to the chocolate bar, and to get to chocolate taste along the way. Their work is inspiring-adding minimal ingredients to their chocolate bars so that the flavors of the cacao beans shine naturally from where they originate. After the tour, we tried the hojicha hot chocolate, the celebration cake, and the matcha cookie. For the hojicha hot chocolate, the tea flavor was subtle, but good chocolate. The celebration cake was what we expected-glad it wasn't overly sweet so that cocoa is more pronounced, but it also wasn't too rich; I felt the chocolate here in some sense lacked depth. The matcha cookie was my favorite-a cake texture matcha exterior encasing a denser brownie-like chocolate core - a delicious combo! Last thoughts to prep for the experience if you tour- 1.) Eat before you go on the tour-sampling chocolate means you do get caffeinated, and you'll likely purchase more chocolate (more caffeine!) after :) 2.) Included with the tour is a complimentary chocolate drink of choice at the end, in case you were pondering whether to buy the hot chocolate or not ;) 3.) Dandelion Chocolate products are pricey but quality. Paying the price feels like it's appreciation of their art. If you love chocolate, it's a wonderful place to visit at least once!

I really like that you can choose exactly how many of each flavor you want in your box. I didn't realize that before, but it's a great option because you could literally get one of everything if you wanted to try them all. There was also a vegan raspberry option since the regular raspberry had sold out for the day, and honestly you couldn't tell the difference. It was delicious. I also tried the lemon in store, and the raspberry was my favorite. One small thing is that once they're bagged up, it can be a little hard to tell which flavor is which since they look pretty similar on the outside. Not a big deal, just something to keep in mind if you're trying to remember what's what. The owner mentioned he's had the shop for 30 years, which you can feel when you're in there.
