Came into Cello with a party of seven and were seated immediately. I did have a reservation, though it was made just 15 minutes prior. The menu was limited, but there wasn't a single thing we didn't love. We ordered pasta, soup, sandwiches, and pizza--everything was excellent. To top it off, our server surprised my daughter (the bride-to-be) with a beautiful celebratory slice of tiramisu.

My friend and I stayed at the Allegreto Vinyard Resort and ate at Cello a few times. When we arrived the first evening we went to the bar and had a glass of wine and the crispy brussel sprouts and they were AMAZING! We ate breakfast at Cello the next two mornings. The portions were large so my friend and I split the breakfast. The panini and potatoes were perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. The breakfast burrito was also very good. We had the same server both mornings, her name was Sarah, and she was wonderful. She gave us a few great tips for places to go and she was a great server, very attentive. Parking is ample as the restaurant is in the resort. The ambiance was nice, not too formal and not too casual.

Cello Restaurant is a gem. Located onsite at the Allegretto Vineyard Resort. Convenient and a beautiful place to dine at. You definite feel like you're on vacation! We dined here for dinner and watched the evening sky change colors and the restaurant lights come on. Very elegant and romantic. The food was amazingly rich in flavors with each bite. I had no complaints. We had outside heaters during the evening and were comfortable. The service was spot on professional and friendly. This is a definite must dine at while in Paso Robles.

The hotel grounds are incredible!! Even if you don't plan on staying, dining, or wine tasting here - you can still enjoy the enclosed courtyard area and surrounding vineyards. Two friends and I had lunch at Cello and took advantage of their restaurant month deal - this January. Make sure to ask about it if you make it here in January because it was not offered to us and we had to ask for it. The waiter may have been new - he wasn't sure about the restaurant month meal and he also forgot that it included dessert. We had to ask for the dessert after ordering one to share. He did apologize and then packed the dessert for us three to go. *$50 per person for the following Choice Of Chef's Salad Market Greens, Roasted Butternut Squash, Crumbled Goat Cheese, Candied Pecans, Spiced Red Wine Dressing Or Allegretto Caesar Salad Chopped Romaine Lettuce, Caesar Dressing, Anchovies, Crispy Capers, and Focaccia Croutons ENTREE Lamb Bolognese House-made Pasta, Local Lamb, Slow-cooked Tomato Sauce, Fresh Parmesan Cheese, Garlic Bread DESSERT Personal Lemon Tart Meyer Lemon Tart After dinner we walked over to browse the small sitting areas and then ended up at the wine tasting room. We were greeted kindly by the lady behind the wine tasting room counter. Unfortunately, we were asked to leave after having sat down - we had walked over from the restaurant with some wine in our glass and she stated that we couldn't stay due to liquor license rules. We left there and went to a sitting area nearby with a fireplace. Over all we had a great lunch at Cello, but there were some hiccups with our over all experience.

What a jewel of an Italian restaurant inside the most beautiful Allegretto Resort and winery! Their menu is to die for, with the best pizza and pastas you can imagine. It's a very amazing and creative menu. The service and ambiance were something to be remembered, with live entertainment as well! Thank you so much to our lovely bartender and our amazing server. I'm sorry I can't remember her name. This may have been a once in a lifetime experience for me, but hopefully I will be back.

We went to Cello's at the Allegretto Winery for Easter Brunch. It was absolutely worth every penny. The food, service ambiance were 5 star! It was so delightful to have the happy dancing Easter Bunny there to entertain us. Our server Macie was so attentive. She kept checking in on us and made the experience exceptional.

This is a fabulous restaurant for elegance, quiet, lovely setting, and excellent food. We had Tempura vegetables, and also grilled artichokes, for appetizers. Both were out of this world good! Then a Caesar salad that was exceptionally good. For mains, we had Duck breast, and also a mushroom pizza. Superb! Our server, Renee, was delightful. She was so helpful. We loved the meal and the ambiance. Highly recommended!

Dinner at Cello Restaurant did not disappoint. This steak was grilled just right, paired with creamy mashed potatoes and garlicky green beans. Great food, sunset views, cozy heaters, and friendly service.

So disappointed with this restaurant on this trip. My cousins and I came here for the weekend staying at the Allegretto hotel. We woke up Saturday morning and decided to have breakfast at the hotel since we are staying there. The hostess asked if we have reservations I said no but she can split our party between three or four tables. She called the manager and you should have seen his face when I repeated that to him. He's like I don't have enough staff or space to sit you for breakfast you should have made reservations. I just don't understand if a hotel books guests to stay there don't they realize that their guests might want to eat breakfast at the hotel they are staying ??? We ended up getting two tables, had two wonderful waiters and delicious food. We were not a loud group or a picky group, we kept everything simple.

We arrived just after 10am on a Thursday morning and were promptly greeted and seated at a nice table in the back corner of the restaurant with the kitchen behind us. The staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Each table was perfectly set for service. Attention to detail here is impeccable and made a casual breakfast feel extra special. We ordered coffee, the Paso Country breakfast, the yogurt parfait and a side of eggs and chicken sausage. Our food was out within minutes and everything tasted great! The bacon was cooked to perfection, crispy & delicious. The sourdough toast was warm, and with the butter & raspberry jam, wow what a decadent treat. The country potatoes were also perfectly cooked and seasoned, crispy on the outside but perfectly tender on the inside. While eating we noticed a server preparing the table next to us for a VIP and a few minutes later one of the owners (Doug Ayres) walked in and seated himself. We recognized him from the hotel property overview video and told him so. We chatted for a minute about some of the must see aspects of the property, then he enjoyed his breakfast and we finished ours. Overall we had a very enjoyable experience, great food, great service and good conversation.

We were staying at Allegretto resort so we decided to eat at the restaurant there. I was debating what to order so I looked on Yelp and the reviews weren't great, so I was worried, but wow we had a great experience! We ordered the Panzanella Salad to share (they split it for us) and it was delicious! Then I got the carbonara and my sister got the chicken piccata, both were delicious! The place is a little pricey, but I guess that is to be expected at a resort like this. Beautiful restaurant, great service, and delicious food! Would definitely recommend!

We had no idea how nice of an experience this would be. The staff are so nice and seek to make you feel at home. Our waitress, Makenzie, really made sure we were taken care of and was prompt to see that we had everything we needed. Then the food was so good! My husband ordered Seabass that was amazing and the sauce was so good. He ordered grilled broccolini with chimichurri sauce. I could have been happy with a plate of that! I ordered a hamburger with garlic fries. Hamburger, you say? I'm telling you it was delicious!!!

Cello at the Allgeretto Hotel off 46 East is a great spot to stop in for quality food and drinks. Everything is consistently tasty, and as a local, I always enjoy the relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Whether it's a quick drink or a full meal, Cello delivers a reliably good experience. Definitely worth a visit!

We arrived on time and stood at the entrance for about 7 minutes with zero acknowledgment. Servers and bussers walked right past us, no one said a word. When the hostess finally showed up, there was no apology, just a question about our reservation. She said our table was "almost ready" since the current guests had paid, but then refused to seat us at either of two open 4 tops, saying she wanted to save them for larger parties, even though at least four other 4 tops around the room already had just two people seated at them. She offered us a drink while we waited "a few minutes." Fifteen minutes later, still no table and no drinks provided, while guests with later reservations were seated ahead of us. When we asked again, her story changed: now the original table hadn't actually paid yet. By this point it had been 25 minutes past our reservation, so we finally confronted her directly and pointed out the empty 4 tops with only two people at them. Her explanation was that those parties had reservations, and I reminded her that we had a reservation too. She reluctantly seated us after that, with no apology or acknowledgement. What made it even more frustrating was watching her, later in the evening, seat other parties of two at 4 tops without any hesitation at all. There was never any acknowledgment of the wait or any reason given for why the rules seemed to apply differently to us. It's a shame, because the food and Yuki's service were excellent and deserved a five star night. But the disorganized, inconsistent hosting at the door made the first half hour of my birthday dinner stressful instead of special. Ask for Yuki if you go, just brace yourself at the door.
