Unfortunately after the new car wash was built, there have been a number of problems and improvements that could easily be foreseen but we're not included in the original build. There are still some dangerous areas. I've been there about 10 times since the new car wash was built. Wash quality is very inconsistent primarily because sometimes they'll have two people in the pre-wash area when you'll get a pretty good wash. Other times they'll only have one person who really only pre-washes one side of your car and never even sees the other side. You can count on a pretty bad wash job if your car is fairly dirty. The machine itself does a pretty good job although the old system worked better. The drying is done pretty well too. However the price has gone down compared to what it would be with the old car wash still in service today due to the higher labor that would have been needed for it. But it also provided a wider range of services and did better quality, which I'd be happy to pay for if it was still here. The dangerous area that I'm referring to is as you pull into the car wash entrance in the afternoon the sun is directly on your windshield and you cannot see the track you have to line up with, the person inside or any of the signage. If the windshield is dirty, as in the reason you're coming to a car wash, you really can't see anything until you get far enough in that the shadow of the building covers your windshield. They really need a canopy that extends out from the building about 10 to 20 ft. It's only a matter of time before something bad happens there, either damaging a car or worse yet a person. I don't know how they can't foresee that. I miss the old car wash and the people that work there, but I guess this is progress. read more

Absolute worst customer experience let alone automotive repair experience I've ever had! Unprofessional, rude, unaccountable, overpriced and low performer. Randy and Carlos should be avoided at all costs. If I could put zero or negative stars I would. The rinse cycle is not working. My truck was covered with soap after leaving the wash. They rewashed it but didn't get the rinse or the blower to work. No one in charge. Left with dried soap on my car. I have 3 vehicles and I used this location multiply times a month. I will now go somewhere else. equipment here is not working correctly. read more

Newly renovated remodeled location. I first went to this location under the impression that they would do a interior detailing of your vehicle after your car wash. But once getting there it resembled a lot of the other car wash locations where you get the vacuum line up first and then you pay for your wash choice drive-through and get your deluxe package or your basic package. And then as you exit there are hard-working associates that will dry your vehicle off for you. Located on a busy road. Seems to still bring in a lot of business even after the remodeling. Where do I start... I have not been to this location since it was temporarily closed and remodeled to be the establishment that it now is. I am a wheelchair user and my van is thus modified for accessibility; this means that I have cover runners on both sides and the chassis of the van itself has been lowered 12 in... In simple terms it's a huge risk and major pain in the butt to take through any car wash because it is so low to the ground. (but also a pain in the butt to wash by myself because I am slow and short) I decided to try it this morning because it was just really too dirty for me to do alone and I didn't have the time... Upon entering the lot, the owner (Paul) immediately came over to me and asked what he could do to help. When I explained my concerns he offered to personally try to take it through with the help of another employee so they could monitor the proximity of the van to the track and ensure nothing got caught. They took time out of their already busy morning to do this and it reassured me the whole way... The van made it through just fine and they continued to help by finishing drying and cleaning up the outside and inside of the vehicle. :-) This was so much more than just a car wash, it was the recognition of another human and taking time to consider their needs and concerns. Far more than just a clean car I have a happy Heart... I know that sounds silly but sometimes the little things mean even more than what you set out to accomplish in the first place. In these days of weaponized Yelp views, I try not to overuse the negative review. In light of my experience at Canepa's car wash, I feel like I need to post to warn potential clients. In May, I brought my car in for a detail service. I know that car washes rarely do it as good as I would. I pay for the convenience of not having to do all the work myself. I feel like a car detail should be held to a higher standard than your basic wash. I got the basic detail for $140. My observations after picking up the car: The car was washed ok, it looked like it had just been run through the regular car wash. I found spots on the car that didn't get washed. There was overspray on the windshield from wax on the outside and splatter from the dash treatment on the glass on the inside. They used a lot of dash treatment and it was splotchy. It seemed like it was sprayed on and not really wiped off. Some areas had a lot, other areas seemed like it didn't get any. I have had better basic car washes than this "detail." The only bright spot was the stain they got out of the front passenger seat (Although I paid $20 extra for this). The biggest issue I had was when I went to pick up the car, it wouldn't start - the battery was dead. I don't know if they had left doors open or used accessory ports, which drained the battery. I let them know I couldn't start the car and they brought out a portable unit to jump the car. I noticed when they were jumping it the displays in the car were flickering. The car wouldn't start from being jumped. They said they could replace the battery. I'm still not sure if this was an upsell trick or not. I was stuck and on a timeline to get out of there. They charged me $225 for the battery replacement. I checked and they weren't much more than AAA (my go to for replacement of car batteries). They put it in and I still had some issues starting it. They told me I had to put the key in a certain direction. It finally started. I stopped to air up my tires and the car wouldn't start again (I finally got it started). I drove it a little bit and noticed the screens (dash and radio) were flickering badly. After a bit, the screens went black completely. Today I took my car into the Ford dealership to have the screen issue checked. They hoped it would be a simple reset and everything would be working again. That turned out to not be the case. The motherboard in the car needs to be replaced because it was fried from being jump started incorrectly. It is going to cost me $2500. So this turned out to be the most expensive car detail ever. So just a warning about using Canepa's for detailing and any other service on your vehicle. It might be a good deal that cost you a lot of money in the long run. read more

MUST GO, Such a great experience and I left with a shiny sparkly car. Canepas re-model is fantastic, by far my favorite car wash in Stockton. First, you enter and vacuum your own car. Then you drive up to the pay station and get to choose what service you want. The unlimited once a day monthly pass is only $24.99 - $39.99, I couldn't believe it. You also have the option of getting an individual wash - I chose the monthly unlimited lava extreme for $39.99. I was then guided through the tunnel and got to sit back and enjoy the light show ride. The staff dried off my car and I was on my way. After vacuuming my car the rest took less than 10 minutes, I was so impressed. Ohhhhh & they are open longer! The new hours are, 8:00am - 6:00pm I love this because I don't get off until 5. Thank you Canepas, So happy you are back open. I love the new and improved experience. read more

This was my first time at this car wash. There are a lot of bad reviews and the reviews speak for themselves. I took my vehicle there and it's cool to see them somewhat hand washing and then go through a car wash. Oh wait did they really wash my truck? When it came out, I saw dirt swirls. The kind of swirls where the job was done half @$$. I saw the lady drying the truck using a towel and wiping it off. The kind of wipe job that just smeared and scratched the paint when they smeared the dirt. Here is the part that really made me mad. My coffee cup was on the seat. Why was it moved from the cupholder to the seat, who knows. Well whoever moved to the coffee cup spilled coffee on my seat. It was not the kind of move where they made sure if anything was in the cup wouldn't spill. They just threw the cup on the seat and it leaked coffee out. Look at the pictures. They're closed now and I wrote this review months ago and neglected to post it, but here goes: I love this place! I took my car in on an extremely hot day. The people putting the finishing touches on my car worked extremely hard. A couple weeks later, I reached into one of my cup holders and found my wedding ring! I thought I had lost it a year ago and was so depressed. Lo and behold, one of Canepa's workers had found the ring and put it in the cup holder! Just got my car washed ( I use the term loosely ), and purchased the top wash for $ 20 - what a rip off. I have a 2022 Honda CRV. When I got home I looked around the car. I was shocked to see the amount of dirt still on my car, streaks, ungodly amount of large water spots, dirt in ALL the front end find, and the "Tire Shine" was only on 1/3 of each tire (not even shiny). This place is crappy - DO NOT go there. Ive had better washes at the drive thru wash at Pershing and Country Club Blvd. This place should not be considered a Car Wash, it is more of a "We clean part of your car for a ridiculous price" joint. read more

Awesome quick and easy car wash. Nice waiting area inside as well. Sweet old Indian grandpa with boots helped wash my car. If you get an oil change from next door, you get free $20 coupon. I'm not a anal person about car washes. So if you are, go somewhere else maybe. I usually go to this car wash when I'm in a hurry, I went yesterday and bought The $16 car wash, which was supposed to include shining of the tires and cleaning the tires. When I went to the car wash and the young kid was trying my car, I asked him if my tires and rims were clean he said he couldn't tell because of the sun. I got out of the car and checked and no they were not clean, he stated sometimes the rollers don't get the tires that well, I stated that I had paid for a $16 car wash to do my tires, so he got some armor all end of the tires for me, I even gave him a five dollar tip., which I regret doing after I saw that the rooms were still filthy. I will still continue to go here but I will get the lowest car wash and do the tires myself. read more

Every time I'm there they don't listen. I've asked questions about the performance of my car and issues I'd been having. I was laughed at and told it's normal. Now my car is currently there and it's been over a week. Everytime they talk to us it's something new or it's gonna be another day. Now it's we need a new engine. Went on Saturday, I was going to get the most expensive one but I was in a hurry so I thought nah it's going to take longer. Well it was definitely a very quick and bad car wash!! My truck wasn't too dirty we had just bought it brand new off the lot 2 weeks before and we have another car, so hadn't been driven daily either. Long story short, it had rained a few days before so there was Mud on the outside. I have kids so of course the Inside doors needed to be wiped down and the center console. Well the inside was not wiped down EXCEPT for the dashboard and there was still mud on the outside of the truck!! Seriously! I didn't realize it till I got home! like I said I was short on time, but the wash was awfully quick I should have known that wasn't right. I always tip the workers when I give them my receipt so I even tipped them!! I should have gone to my usual car wash on Hammer; Zoom! I they make your moneys worth!! but like I said I was short of time and was on that side of town. Stay away from Canepa's, used to be a good car wash many many years ago they used to clean the inside and out very good but those days are over. You're better off taking your car to a Kelly car wash and will pay a small fraction of what canepa charges. read more

I wish I could give good ol' Canepas Car Wash a little better rating...they have been a Stockton fixture for years now. We came here with my father's brand new 2011 Subaru and paid 22 bucks for the super wash. First off some older worker came out and gave me crap for taking a couple pictures of the building. I literally took two pictures of the gas pumps and he comes up and gets an attitude and says "can I help you?!?" I politely said thanks but we are just getting a car wash. He continued with "I saw you were taking pictures, what were they for" and I said something about the internet. He got all upset and my pop explained that it was for a review site. Wow, really? I know this is Stockton but I dont need the Spanish Inquisition over two pictures. We went inside where there is still a nice little gift shop...full of that random ass stuff you find at car washes. There was a little of everything. They gave my dad a $0.50 senior discount. OMG are you serious? A 50 cent discount! Maybe I can go to JJ Newberry's downtown and buy me a shiny new toy with my two quarters! Hell maybe I can talk my mom and dad into letting me order something out of the Sears Catalog!! So still after spending 20 bucks on a wash the car comes out and a horde of people dry it off...we get called to the car and realize its not completely wiped dry. We have to show the worker who looks like he hates life in general that there are still water spots on the car. I offered to use his rag to get them myself but he refused and just took care of it himself. As we drove away water came out of ever crack and hidden spot and left streaks all over the car...when I have been at other car washes they have had a high-pressure air hose and usually blow out that water before you drive away to take care of that kind of problem. Holy Hannah I know its a car wash and no one is perfect but for 20 bucks I would expect a little more in the way of customer service. I was in Lincoln Center and had my husband take my car to get washed at Canepa's since it was the nearest one while I finished my errands. I don't usually go there because in the past I've been less than pleased with the results from my "car wash" but since it was convenient, I went against my better judgement. my husband bought the most expensive wash AND filled my car here. Big mistake. There were water spots all over the bottom of my passenger window, side mirrors and sunroof. I think the person who cleaned the inside was blind bc they left the little paw prints that were on my seats and center console. They also did not wipe my cup holder and my mats were not put down correctly, they looked like they had literally been thrown in the car. Guess I'll be re washing my car when I get home! 01/28/08 I am adding a star. They have recently remodeled and have made some huge changes. Have not been happy with the recent changes at Pacific Car Wash. You have to walk to the convenience store NEXT DOOR to pay and return to the waiting area to retrieve your car. AND they got rid of the cute little boutique items. That IS NOT convenient. When here to a get car wash When the car was finished being wiped down I noticed dirt swirls I then proceeded to tell the manager When he came out of his office he said what with an attitude I said my car has dirt swirls he went outside to investigate my complaint his response after looking at the car is dude I'm not gonna watch this again it can be wiped down I then responded by saying dude I just paid $25 my car should have zero swirls on it he responded by saying well you're not getting another wash I was appalled this guy was beyond rude and he supposed to be the owner please don't go to this car wash if you want to good wash because you won't get here and if you run into an issue the fat sloppy manager will be extremely rude.
