Whenever we're leaving town or when our girl needs a play date, we take her to Canines Unleashed. When we pick her up, she has so much to talk about She's a very smart breed (Australian Healer mix and she tells us that we've made a great choice by how excited she is to return each time we bring her. What I especially like about Canines Unleashed is that on Fourth of July they play music to block out the fireworks, and the team members have beds directly in the area where they board the animals so that they are close by them. read more

They have been a life saver when I got my beagle puppy. I buy the 20 1/2 day package. It's the most economical. Seamus can go for up to 6 hours any day of the week, any times their open. Did I mention that they do seasonal pics? He hates dressing up for me, but they get him to wear clothes and hats. AND POSE FOR THE CAMERA. I love getting the pics. They are so friendly. This place is truly the best daycare! They are so friendly and nice. They always come out to greet you at your car to take your pup with a smile on their face (even at 6:30 in the morning!). They are great at communicating and answering emails/texts/phone calls and everything. They really go above and beyond. And you can watch your pup on the camera which is always a plus! read more

I love this place!! We just started daycare here. My puppy Emma loves coming here. She loves meeting and playing with the other dogs. And the camera view access is great to watch the dogs play. She is exhausted at the end of the day. She even smells nice! Keith and his team are Awesome! They really have fun and take care of the dogs. I brought my dog here for 4 nights boarding, and I can tell that my dog loved beingl there! The staff were very nice and very professional. The doggie cams were very helpful so you can check on your dogs whenever you want to only downside is I don't see my dog at night because they turn off the cameras. But I understand! That's just me missing my dog a lot Check in and out is very smooth. Booking can be done online which makes it even easier! I will ABSOLUTELY recommend this place to everyone. read more

The best doggie daycare ever. I'm a first time puppy parent- and there was no way I was going to leave my tiny dog alone in the house all day while I went back to work. We've been taking our crazy pup to Canines Unleashed since they first opened up and we couldn't be happier to find them. I love being able to check in on him during the day by way of their webcams. Erika, Keith, and the rest of the staff have amazing energy and obviously care greatly for the dogs they oversee. We'll take Curby in a couple of times a week, and even though he doesn't want to leave, he's so much better after socializing with other dogs and playing all day long. He doesn't do well in a "caged" environment, so when we have had to go out of town for a couple of days their boarding practices are ideal. We feel very fortunate to have found Canines Unleashed, and appreciate all they do! read more

I wish I would have noticed all of the reviews are almost a year old. If you have a brachycephalic dog, I highly suggest never bringing them here. It states that they are "climate controlled" however I brought my English Bulldog there on a summer day when it was 84 degrees, and she was kept in two areas: either outside or in a joining room that was inside but connected to the outside area and had no air condition nor "climate control" which essentially made it the same temperature as outside. I was assured she would be fine and when I called I was told everything was fine. I watched on the camera they let you view and there must have been 50 dogs there, they have at least 4 rooms which 2 look air conditioned but only 2 were used and all of the dogs were crammed in this tiny area. She literally followed the staff around for hours wanting attention and to play but was ignored the entire day. There were no toys for the dogs only 2-3 balls the staff would pick up and throw a few times an hour. When I picked her up she smelled like urine because all of the dogs just pee and poop all over the rooms that are literally covered with other dogs with no space to run or play. She was overheated and I almost had to take her to the emergency vet but was able to get ice and the air conditioner to cool her down. This was all on my "trial day" and no surprise I received absolutely no follow-up on how the day went. I highly suggest not going here unless you want your dog to sit in a hot room with 50 other dogs, no toys, and smell like urine and feces every day. read more

I have been taking my dogs here for two years now. I first started when I first lived across the street because it was convenient, but then I moved to Santee and still drive all the way here because I love this place so much! They are a great family run business and every worker knows my dogs instantly. The process for dropping off and picking up could not be easier. They have a barcode you can attach to your dogs collar that they scan when the dogs are there so you pull up and they come out to your car to take the dogs! Done in seconds. Other daycares I have been to it would take like 30 minutes just to drop them off and make me late to work. I've never had that problem here! I love that you can watch the dogs on the camera and that they offer a first responder discount. Also they always have candy and goodies out so I get myself a treat at the end of the day when I'm picking my dogs up too. Nice little touch that makes a difference read more

We could not be happier with canines unleashed! We've been taking our dogs there for almost a year now at least 2x a week and for overnights. Keith and Erica have been extremely flexible and helpful even during COVID. It's apparent that they care about every single one of their dogs. From birthday celebrations, to holiday and Halloween photos, they do it all! The dogs are always eager to jump out the car and head in to daycare! One time Keith was even nice enough to help out and take one of our dogs to my house (only about 1 mile away) from day care when a personal situation arose and we were not able to get to the dogs on time. We never worry when the dogs are there. We have complete confidence in Keith, Erica and all the employees there that our babies are well taken care of. We are lifers! I've been coming here for about a month and I am so pleased with the staff and the facility. The location is perfect for me, there's always parking, their communication is amazing, and the staff greet you and your furry friend in the parking lot with smiling faces. My dog loves this place and comes back happy and properly exhausted every time. What I love most is that they recognize when my dog is going too hard in the paint for too long (because she's a husky) and will rest her when necessary. They really care about each dog and it shows in everyway. My one and only wish would be for later hours for pick up, because my dog love this place so much, but I also totally understand why that might not be possible. Overall, I absolutely LOVE this facility for daycare and overnight boarding. I was so Elated to find a Dog Daycare right down the street from my home! I am a nurse, with long hours, so I need people who care about my boys to look after them while I am at work. I was so blown away by the kindness of this company! They were so easy and so accommodating with discounts for nurses in this time we are in, I just was so happy. Then, when I saw my pups on their cam, the staff was actually playing with them, throwing balls, giving hugs and pets, and lots of that! I had no issues with this day care, they were great up until recently. I took my dog in (it was raining) and when I picked him up he smelled terribly, he smelled like urine badly. His collar, leash and harness all smelled terrible. When he was brought out to us, they knew that there was something wrong, but they did not tell us anything. When he got in the car he was shaking and felt extremely uncomfortable, our dog is very friendly and has never had this issue before. When I called they told me that they couldn't give him a bath, that it couldn't be taken care of. They had every opportunity to make it right, but they chose not too. I understand that it was raining and it's hard to control animals, but I am a small business owner and always strive to make things right. They never called me and offered a bath, they never called me and told me he smells like urine and offered for me to give me a heads up so I could bathe him, not one thing. Not only was I charged for the day, but I had to get him a new collar, leash, harness and find a place to get him bathed. This is absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I used to live in Florida where it rained all the time, his old day care never allowed this to happen and if they did they would have taken care of it or at least been upfront with me. I will never send my dog here again, a simple heads up or them making it right would have solved an issue. I love to support small businesses, but I can't support this one. read more

This place is incredible!!!!! I have been sending my dog to daycare for the past 3 years and Canines Unleashed is the absolute best by far! I have only been using them for two weeks, and my usually very nervous dog is already excited to go everyday and clearly loves all of the staff (this is extremely rare for her).
