Delicious food every time I go but the last few times we've gone, the service hasn't been great. Most recently, I called to order take out and an older (sounding) woman answered the phone, told me she had one guest ahead of me and to please hold. I had no problem with It but I could hear her helping multiple guests and having separate conversations and after being on hold for 15 minutes, I just hung up. We found this restaurant on Yelp after we had arrived at our original choice only to find it was closed for remodeling. I'll get right to the point. We order stuffed mushrooms, baked ziti, and a meatball sandwich. Each meal came with a salad. Overall the food was good but lacked seasoning. The Marin ara sauce, used in both the ziti and meatball sandwich, was a little on the sweet side. The meatballs where made fresh and very good. For a good sandwich you need good bread and the roll used for the sandwich met that requirement. What lacked in seasoning for the food was made up in service by the staff. This alone will make me a return customer to this restaurant. They were both friendly and attentive. Overall it was a decent meal for the price and any short comings were made up by the friendliness of the employees. read more

This is my second review of this place and it begins before leaving my house. I attempted to place an order for take out... The phone rang several times before someone picked up and put me on hold. I waited... and waited several minutes before deciding to head out to place my order in person. I arrived around 4:00 and placed my order for chicken fettuccini Alfredo, and a chicken tortellini Alfredo. The staff was nice, and it seemed a little crowded for me so I waited outside for a while. Came back about 10 minutes later and food still wasn't ready. I think it was sitting on a counter but I wasn't sure if it was mine or not, so I kept waiting, and having worked in restaurants myself, I didn't want to be rude and bother the busy staff as they were hustling to get other customer orders. Nonetheless, I saw my food just sitting on the counter for several minutes longer until the manager came out and told the young lady at the counter that my ticket had been waiting on the counter and to hurry and have it ready. I thanked them, and the manager said she hoped I hadn't been waiting to long, so no big deal, although this is my second review of the place, and I was disappointed yet again. My order was missing the chicken that I asked for, so I took some off of my girlfriends plate. The food was ok. I broke my low carb diet to have some pasta... Wish it was done just as I asked, it may have been worth it, but hey, i'm glad I didn't find a bug in my food like I did last time... See my previous review for proof and details. We purchased a local flavor deal. I'm so glad we did, what a gem. Plenty of vegetarian options. We ordered the mushroom ravioli, pesto linguine and pasta primavera. Came here with the family because we live across the street and it seemed easy and convenient. We have ordered the pizza in the past and like it.... our server was really sweet (hence the 2 stars)... but the food took forever. The restaurant was pretty empty and we ordered pretty straight forward food. But it took over 45 min and our children were very restless. I ordered the shrimp salad and the shrimp didn't look all the way cooked, but I ate it instead of saying something (and potentially having to wait a whole lot longer) the bill seemed expensive for what we got and later that night I was SUPER SICK... I should have known better, but I won't be returning here... like I said our server was nice but the experience wasn't good. read more

Dinner salad: I personally luuurve a salad swimming in cheese, and so theirs is a delight to my senses with the overflowing mozzarella, sprinkled with black olives over the lettuce. 5 stars Garlic Bread: wonderfully buttered & seasoned... yeah, ok some people say it was greasy, but it was nummy. 5 stars Italian Wedding soup: Both times I have been here, I talked someone into getting the soup and they have LOVED it. Ironic that I haven't even tried their version ;) 5 stars Main entrees: I adored my fettecini alfredo, my guests ate every morsel of the chicken parmesean, and salmon. So I would say this was a great testament to their food. 5 stars Service: Ok, here is where they lost a perfect 5 star rating. After walking into the nearly vacant lobby, I waited for 3 minutes while the 3 girls behind the counter did anything but seat me. I had to ASK for a table... and then 10 minutes later I had to flag someone down to bring me a drink while I waited. I'm not sure how this place has 4 stars! I don't like leaving bad reviews but since I found this place on yelp I feel obligated to review it. It was awful! My husband said my dish looked "gloomy" I ordered their special of filet beef stroganoff and the color of my dish was so unappetizing in appearance it was hard to even eat! It was my much better than it looked unfortunately and the waitress never even came by to ask how our entrees were. Dirty tables everywhere and while we're we're eating a guy comes around and starts spraying disinfectant all over the tables next to where we're eating. Garlic bread was dry and hard. The only reason I'm giving it two stars rather than one is because they poor a nice decanter if their house wine! Seriously, go to Olive Garden down the road! read more

The food is fantastic!! Went in on a Thursday afternoon with my husband. When we walked in we were informed that tables needed to be cleaned we waited 20 minutes then a few other people walked in and a server came up and asked if we had been helped,we explained and he rolled his eyes and said they were allready clean I don't know why she said that! So we got the spicy calamari sooooo good we love the fried peppers! My husband ordered the chicken carbonara sandwich with wedges it was good needed maybe a side of sauce to dip it in. I got the eggplant parmesan I asked for no tomato on my salad and for fettuccine alfredo instead of spaghetti marinara my request were unfortunately forgotten but I just picked the tomato off and the marinara is great I didn't bother to complain I've been here many times over the years the food never fails maybe not the best customer service but not the worst either. I went on Yelp and clicked on the No Wait list to add my name since we had a party of 6. It said to check in when we got there and wait time was under 5 mins (according to the app). When we got there, Courtney told us we had to wait 45-60 mins. When I told her we had put our name on the no wait list, she replied, "I don't even know where that things at". I processed to show her the no wait list and she said, "Yelp's never accurate". So why sign up for a program if your restaurant employees don't even know "where that contraption is at". She was so rude and completely disregarded our request to split us up to be served faster. Her response to that was, "It won't matter, we have big parties in the back and your food is going to take forever". With that, we left immediately and took our business else where. read more

We came here on a Sunday after noon. It was moderately busy. The place is fairly small and I had a group of 10 people, they seated us in the back. It took a while for someone to take our order and bring us our drinks and bread. Of course it took even longer to get our orders. The server was polite and patient with taking our orders. I asked her if they did something for birthdays and asked if she could do it while we're eating instead of after. However she brought a cake and asked me if I wanted to do it now, she also did it right when another table was being sang to, she didn't even have the candle with her and had to come back. I thought that kinda ruined the Bday because she asked me if I wanted to do the cake now as she had the cake with her. In my experience they would just bring it and start singing so that the person who's Bday it is would hey surprised. She didn't have any birthday spirit. Nevertheless, we got vegetable lasagna, chicken Alfredo, chicken Marsala, shrimp ravioli, carnivore pizza, two kids pizza and spaghetti. I rate the food as 4/5 way better than generic Olive Garden. However, I'm giving this place a 3 because of the slow service and lack of caring with the birthday. She also got one order wrong. I absolutely love Cannataro's! There has never been a single thing that I've eaten that wasn't heaven in my mouth. They start you off with crispy garlic butter bread. Entrees come with either soup or salad. Although Julie's wedding soup IS amazing I always opt for the salad & here's why; they pile on mozzarella cheese! Olives, tomatoes, cheeeeese, & RANCH! save a little extra ranch for your bread. YUM. Alright; favorites include their jalapeño artichoke dip. Served with more bread (carbs galore) slightly spicy with cream cheese. It's just phenomenal. Little Italy pizza + Margherita Pizza. Love the fresh tomatoes and basil. Their chicken parmigiana is super crispy and perfect in my opinion!! I opted for Alfredo sauce instead of marinara and I died and went to heaven. Literally. One of my most favorite dishes ever!! I mistakingly had it to-go with marinara one time and even though I was initially disappointed once I tried it I couldn't stop eating it. SO it's good either way. I always check in so that I can get my free cheesecake or tiramisu cuz HELLO! This big b likes to eat. I also love that you can pay 10$ and get 20$ worth of food because doing that makes a trip to Cannataro's more than worth it. Lunch specials are on point during the week: they include a more than filling portion and still include soup or salad and it's seriously only like 6.95$. The biggest gripe I have about this place (and every other person I've talked to that's been here before) is that their service is just so SLOW. unless you're a regular (which I would think I am since I've eaten here like 15x) don't expect to have your server waiting on you hand and foot. 80% of the time you aren't greeted when you first walk in, it takes a minute for someone to seat you, and then wait and wait for someone to come and greet you.... I found it helps to just be completely ready by the time the server does roll around to your table so you can bang the whole order out. If it weren't for their service I would give this restaurant 5 starts easily. read more

My issue with this restaurant is, after being told my take-out order would be 25-30 min., and waiting patiently for 45 min., when i very politely inquired how much longer my order would be, the staff, rather than give me a new eta on my order, barked at me..."we're working on it." Bad enough, but after spending $80 in the place, including a $3 tip for just ringing up my order, when i got home, the pizza i ordered for my daughter had not been sliced - at all! Oversight? Pretty pathetic for an italian restaurant if it was. An FU to me for having the temerity to ask for an eta update after already waiting 45 min (10 min. past original eta)? Pathetic for any restaurant. My first time going to this place, and while it's no where near the best italian i've had, the food is decent, even good for the prices. Will i ever go there again? The food tastes rather home-made, and yes it tastes better than those chains. I had the mini thin pizza, pesto linguini, Julie's wedding soup and I loved them all. They have lunch special, and I heard from my friend that they have buffet nights as well. Staff were very attentive and helpful. It is very comfy and relaxing eating in the booth seating. Four of us went there to celebrate Father's day with my hubby's dad. It was quite busy and we had to wait about 25 minutes. It was a weekend but it was almost 8 pm. We didn't mind waiting a little bit and it turned out it was so worth it. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. We ordered chicken marsala, baked chicken and grill veggie (my favorite), shrimp scampi and veggie lasagna. Each entree came with either a soup or salad. The food was so tasty and cooked just right, and their complementary garlic bread was a bomb! One thing though, I wouldn't recommend their minestrone soup, it's more like paste than broth, quite different from all the minestrone I've had before. (I am a big fan of minestrone.) Although you might like it if you like tomato soup. I didn't finish it but gave it to my hubby, who's a big fan of tomato soup. He actually liked it a lot, though he usually doesn't like minestrone as much. Oh, I also purchased a coupon from restaurant.com. You can get $25 off if you spend over $45. Quite a deal! If you are driving on SR 60 recommend you exit at Mountain Avenue and turn south to the strip mall behind Carrow's. This family owned and operated Italian restaurant is worth your time. We really like this place and rate it a solid four stars. Entrees come with a house salad and really good garlic toasted bread. You can opt up to a Caesar salad for $1 more. The beer and wine are very reasonable, like a glass of draft Stella Artois for only $3.50. My spouse had linguine with clam sauce and just purred over it. I opted for the Chicken Marsala, pan seared with a butter, herb, wine and mushroom sauce accompanied with just the right amount of linguine pasta for a delightful dinner. Another person in the party had the lasagna, piled high with homemade marinara and cheeses. The fourth in our party had a pasta marinara with Italian sausages which he raved over. The menu is quite extensive for a family operation, and there really is something for everyone whether you are a marinara (red) or Alfredo (white) Italian diner. I just tried this restaurant last night for the first time. I really like the "Mom and Pop" feel of a small non-chain restaurant. The garlic bread and calamari were great. My family all enjoyed the different pastas ordered. The staff was a little hurried but the restaurant was busy. The owner, Julie, was generously hosting a fundraiser for my sister. Buttery, warm and slightly crispy. 5/5 Jalapeno Spinach (Artichoke?) dip: My boyfriend loved it. It was not too heavy but extremely flavorful--something I'd want to have if I was sick! Pasta soup? I can't remember what it was called but it reminded me of spaghetti. It was very good and had a generous helping of ground beef. Both soups 5/5. Lasagna: Slightly salty, but it helped that I had a lot of bread with it. It was very good. Decently sized. Generous amount of ground beef and the tomate sauce was very flavorful. 4/5 My boyfriend had the "spicy" steak with a side of spaghetti. (Sorry, we went here last week and I can't remember the names, lol). It tasted a lot like Filipino bistec and was very good, but it didn't pair well with the spaghetti. 4/5 The steak was really good. Maybe we'll ask if we can substitute the spaghetti for veggies. Service was impeccable and fast. Bottom line: Cannataro's is going to be our go to pasta place from now on. We were never left without drinks or napkins (I hate restaurants where you have to fight to get a napkin) Food: 5 stars We first ordered the cheese bread & garlic knots with Alfredo sauce. It was so delicious and came out super HOT & FRESH! My mother ordered the Pasta Cannataro it was so good with lots of flavor! My father ordered the Chicken Parmesan he enjoyed it very much! My nephew ordered the Lemon Herb chicken which was on the Low Carb menu. I have to say it was the best piece of chicken with so much flavor that I have ever had at any restaurant! I ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken & Shrimp & I added mushrooms. It was so creamy and delicious! We also ordered a small Cannataro Pizza Special and it was by far the best pizza I've had in a log time! I will be coming back in the near future for sure! read more
