I was so excited to see a Paris Baguette in Michigan! I first discovered them in Texas and Georgia, so it was a fun surprise to find one closer to home. The coffee is excellent, and the whole place has cozy local coffee shop and bakery vibes without feeling overly franchised like Starbucks. We got a decent amount of sweets, including Mochi donuts, regular donuts and some croissants. I thought they were good and to be fair I think I should try more things. I didn't think anything was outstanding. I like the fact that the donuts weren't overly sweet but still tasty. It was probably the consistency that was not my favorite. I would like to try some of the savory items next time, including the sandwiches. Aesthetically, Paris baguette is nice, it was smaller than I expected, and that is fine. What stood out is the prices for pretty much everything are quite high. Individual items started about four dollars so, if you decide to get a bunch of stuff, it would be cost prohibitive. The person at the counter was pleasant enough. I noticed that the person working was the only one who was customer facing. I did not see any other employees. This can become an issue when that particular one person is making a coffee drink for somebody and it does take a long time to get back to the people in line. That is no fault of that person at all and I understand. Overall, the experience was decent. I will probably give them another try in the near future just to try other items. read more

I'm a big fan of the Paris Baguette in Birmingham and I finally got to try this one today - a friend and I had theater plans but the show got canceled, so we stayed in her area and went to the used bookstore in this plaza (also cool, btw) and PB. You get what you pay for here but it's not cheap: most things are $3-4+. I had a gift card so I paid for my friend and I, and we each got 4-5 pastries, so it was $50 (rather steep IMO but the pastries are delicious). I got two sweet potato sticks, which is one of my faves, plus the Dubai mochi donut, strawberry one, and crookie (croissant cookie!) which looks amazing. They gave me a paper of coupons when I left, too, good until 6/15/26 I believe, and there are some good ones - BOGO cake slices, etc. - so be sure to ask for that if you stop by sometime soon. This location was also HUGE compared to Bham, which was nice - a lot of tables to sit, and bathrooms in the back. read more

I do love a good bakery that combines European and Asian baked goods with a coffee bar. I have seen Paris Baguette in Birmingham and Dearborn, but this was our first time here. We all tried the crab croquette, it was good, a nice change from the potato, but could have been hotter since they warned it up for us. We also tried the chocolate supreme croissant, which was good, and the chocolate chip pastry, but the really winner was the coffee croissant donut. It was amazing and I would get that again. We also got a couple coffees, a mocha, peppermint mocha, and strawberry mango smoothie. They messed up two of the three drinks and it took forever to get them made and remade. The smoothie they even attempted to fix by re-blending, which would have puréed it and turn it into liquid. The drinks were okay, but not great for what we paid, and the prices here are a bit high. I do like all of the choices and would come back. I also wonder why they opened up so close to a Tous les Jours, although they are in separate shopping areas, and this one is close to a claw game shop, which is convenient to play some games and then get some food and drink, or vise versa, like we did. Nice pastry shop with a huge selection of pastries to choose from. For my first visit here I ended up getting an Almond croissant and cup of their house coffee which is brewed from Lavazza coffee. Pastry was fresh, well made and quite tasty with a nice flaky texture. The almond filling was quite nice adding the right flavor notes and was complemented by a generous amount of almond slivers and powdered sugar. The coffee was just so so for me where it was a tad less full bodied than what I normally drink where I am assuming it was a light roast with good balance probably to appeal more to the general masses versus a hard core coffee drinker like myself. Small gripe on my part. As this is a self serve operation where you grab your own tray and pastries before going to the register, staff is really not a factor. Realtive to the facility it is quite new, modern, clean and bright with a nice amount of tables for indoor dining. Aside from the large selection of French Style pastries there are also a host of other desserts/food they serve to include traditional style donuts, Mochi's, tarts, cakes, limited selection of breads and a limited number of prepared foods to name a few. Also when I asked the staff, a lot of them weren't too sure. I have a coconut allergy and a lot of pastries use coconut cream/oil. Opened on Wednesday, makes sense since the opening arch balloons are starting to deflate. Grabbed a curry and a crab croquette, harvest chicken salad, egg salad sandwich, small green tea mint and a large pumpkin pie latte with oat milk and no whipped cream. $39.78 I cut open the curry and crab croquette. We were both thoroughly disappointed that both croquets were sparse of ingredients. The bottom of the croquettes are quite dense, the tops are thin. The crab looks like it might have at most a TBS of Krab salad with carrots and maybe some overcooked green peppers. It isn't good at all, mostly dough and the Krab salad is barely there. I see why they recommended to heat it, that works if you are eating it there, otherwise it's served fridge cold. The texture of the croquette is what you would expect. This lump of empty dough is cold and not worth it. It gets worse with the cut and reveal of the curry croquette. I had to do a double take, it looked as if maybe at most a full tsp of one small diced potato, canned corn, scallions, all flattened onto the bottom. The curry seasoning was so-so, not as prominent or as filled as I have had at TLJ. The two croquettes here I tried were not worth a repeat, ever again. Keep an eye out for integrated wavy white hairs in your pastry. The egg salad sandwich looks pretty good, looks fresh with the sliced cucumbers. The egg salad is bland, as expected. However there were small bits of the egg shell on my half of the sandwich and maybe of the shell lining too. It was a bit gritty and sinewy. The harvest chicken salad sandwich is good. This place needs to decide if they are a crust on or off. The harvest chicken salad had only the top of the slice crust cut off, the other two sides intact. The egg salad sandwich to me should have had all of the crusts removed, as this is usually how it's presented in Japan for the egg salad sandy. The green mint tea has no flavor of either the mint or the green tea and it's a small to go too. I got warm water here. It's been steeping for about a half hour by now. Nothing! The pumpkin pie latte with the oat milk is good. Worth a return for the latte at least. This place is a mirage, looks good from the outside and from afar, but it's all an illusion. Needs a lot of work on their pastries, not where it should be to compete with their neighbor across 11 Mile at all. read more

We arrived to PB earlier in the morning today and found a vast array of beautiful and delicious looking delectable savory and sweet pastries, breads, buns, cakes, and mochi donuts. I was sad though that there was not any of the usual Sweet sticky milk bread available. I was delighted that there were more items available than when I've come mid afternoon or early evening. Morning is the best time to be able to a wide selection to choose from. Once items are sold, more are not usually made throughout the day. It was nice that it was quiet and peaceful without the usual loud music and that the customer conversational noise was minimal which offers a peaceful place to relax. It was wonderful to see Yuna again. As always she was very friendly, professional, and helpful. The only disappointment was not all the items had their respective descriptive signage. I appreciate there was a sign notifying customers that new descriptive signs with allergens included would be forthcoming. Thank you PB for accommodating customers with special dietary needs. tldr; if you're torn between Paris Baguette and Tous Les Jour, the edge goes to Paris Baguette for pastry tastiness! I was surprised when this placed open up. You know they were ready to throw down when they opened literally next door to a Tous Les Jour. Both locations are French-Asian inspired locations, and since this review is about Paris Baguette, I should speak specifically to that. This place has a wide variety of pastry offerings. We enjoyed the Dubai Chocolate Tart, a Cookies and Creme donut, and a pastel de nata tart. The first two pleasantly surprised us. They were really fantastic. Meanwhile, the pastel de nata was what I looked forward to the most, and... sad trumpet. It's a nice feature that they have a "refrigerated" glass case for those pastries that need some help keeping, but pastel de nata is not served best cold. In this avenue, Paris Baguette doesn't quite deliver. I think they're more focused on throwing a huge amount of pastries to the wall (figuratively) and seeing what sticks versus serving their offerings in the best way. The sitting area is fine. There are plenty of tables for you to grab, but I wouldn't love the ambiance if this place was particularly buzzing with people, but when I walked in, there was no one eating inside. The employees were nice and helpful. Overall, it's a great addition to the new Sakura Plaza. I'm curious to see if only one Korean-French Bakery can remain standing. read more

Since this is a franchise I will base my review on this particular location. Brand new, bright and beautiful new bakery sprang up on the up and coming Sakura plaza in Novi. Visited 4 weeks after an opening, upon entering you are greeted with rows and shelves of deliciousness. Tried a few different things. All fresh and delicious. The issue arrived at the coffee ordering. Plain black with room for cream. It has to be redone twice. Language barrier was a factor. After we sat down I have noticed how dirty the floors were around us. It's too early on in the business to be this sloppy. read more

It was busy but the tables looked fairly clean, and they had lots of stock for a Sunday night with a line for checkout. Staff were friendly enough. It was a bit confusing because there's no directions about how to get the items and there's no true "line" to go down and look at everything. So everyone is kind of walking every which way to get items. It's serve yourself and carry your tongs and tray around until you're ready to get in the checkout line. A delightful eatery/bakery that contributes elegance and class as Grand River ushers in a new wave of businesses. While the reputation of this Korean brand proceeds itself in a positive connotation, this is my first time trying Paris Baguette products and visiting a location. This location comes to the new buildings which are a part of the Japanese village development that many are anticipating with excitement. It is viewable from the main road due to readable signage as well as a "Now Open" banner. While parking has decent options to accommodate the multiple businesses offered in the complex, I recognize my visit to the bakery occurred at a non-busy time in the evening; therefore, I would expect parking to be tight during heavy traffic timeframes. There is a nice view of the water & bridge from the PB spot in the parking lot, which many were expecting based on the rendition of the Japanese village advertised by the city initially. Turning in and turning out of the driveway onto Grand River makes for a busy intersection especially with it being near the driveway many frequent to access the only Japanese market in the area - a popular establishment to the Novi area - One World Market. I foresee those entry and exit points being hectic. A traffic light being installed there would be ideal or may be something urban planners consider for the future. My time at PB was pleasant as I found the place to be bright, clean, and welcoming. The music alongside noise from patrons contributed to a stimulating environment where I wouldn't want to stay & sit for an extended time; however I noted the cute decor and seating options available. I appreciated the transparency PB attempts to provide its customers related to ingredients. Some people in my social circle have food allergies so I am always aware of this when I frequent eateries. Their website was informative with each item having common allergens to be aware of which I found helpful but still needed information about the preparation process. My questions were answered with clarity, attention to detail, kindness, and patience, by Manasa. She took the time to explain the processes implemented by PB in order to be mindful of allergies. I appreciated her professional and welcoming customer service. While my party wished all items were packaged, we appreciated that the policies PB has in place were supportive of those who have dietary restrictions. Selections are put on individual trays by patrons after browsing the cases using the individual's tongs. Orders are taken to the register where staff package the items in boxes (and bags when necessary). I ordered the Very Berry Pastry, Hashbrown Ham & Cheese, and the Tiramisu Tart. All three were enjoyable though the Very Berry Pastry left a memorable impression due to the wonderful taste of sweet mixed with the flakey layers of the pastry. Overall, my experience at Paris Baguette was positive and I will most likely be returning many times when I need a sweet or savory pastry fix! I've been to many other Paris baguette locations but this is a brand new location that just recently opened. I will say in comparison to other locations, the variety is much smaller (makes sense since the store itself is smaller) but service is still great. There's definitely an influx of new locations opening but this one seems interesting being it's down the street from another popular bakery that I love! The interior was clean and everything was well organized. The refrigeration area was quite empty which makes me assume that they're possibly getting a rush in the morning for people heading to work (etc.) but curious if they'd restock midday for other customers. I got a strawberry custard croissant and an iced coffee and both were fine. The croissant didn't really have much custard and wasn't filled as much as I know they usually have them. I was so excited to see a Paris Baguette in Novi, MI! I was visiting family and saw it located at the new Sakura Gardens location. Right next door is Klawsome and the Chubby Cattle :) This place was so neat, organized and beautifully decorated. I was amazed by all the goodies and the service was great. Mixed First Impressions The restaurant was fairly busy for it being just around 11:00 AM. Upon entering, guests grab a tray and tongs, and most of the items are displayed behind glass cases with sliding doors. Everyone moves independently, selecting what they'd like, which creates a casual and self-serve vibe. Checkout was smooth, but the warming process was a bit confusing. I asked for two of my items to be warmed, and while they did take them away, they returned with all three items packed together in the same box, mixing the warmed and non-warmed items. That struck me as a bit odd. To add to that, the items I requested to be warmed didn't feel noticeably warm. That said, it may have worked out for the best, had they been hotter, the frosting on my donut might have melted in the box. I tried three items: the Prosciutto, Fig & Goat Cheese Pizzetta; what I thought was the Crab Meat Croquette (but turned out to be a Red Bean Croquette); and the Dubai Chocolate Donut. The Pizzetta was underwhelming. The toppings were all clumped in the center, so I had to manually spread them out to get a balanced bite. It felt like it was thrown together without much care. The Red Bean croquette was a surprise. There were three trays of croquettes, but I only saw one labeled, so I assumed they were all the same. Although it wasn't the one I intended to get, and it wasn't warmed up as requested, it was still flavorful. I'd be open to trying it again. The standout was definitely the Dubai Chocolate Donut. There is a decent amount of seating in here and the ambiance is chic! It is bigger than the Birmingham location which I was thrilled to see. They do have an app for rewards so make sure to download that for a first free pastry if it's your first visit! I got a cronut for free! I was a little disappointed that it some sort of in between cream filling / frosting or custard as I was hoping it was plain. There's a great variety of items here and their coffee seems to be decent also as I believe it may be lavazza brand as I saw bags for purchase inside. I just went to Paris baguette to eat and study with my friend, I ordered the turkey avocado BLT sandwich that is in the refrigerator section that is also sealed in a container. When I ate the sandwich I opened it to add more mayo, and I looked and saw a strand of hair. When I brought this up to the employees, they told me that that couldn't happen due to them wearing gloves and hair nets. The female worker then implied that it was my fault for the hair being in the sandwich/saying I putting my own hair in the sandwich. They then wouldn't give me a full refund but gave me a half of refund EVEN THOUGH HAIR was in the FOOD either way. The iced chai latte that I also ordered with the sandwich had way too much cold foam and was warm when we first got it even though it's an ice drink. I have a sweet tooth and I love anything with butter. Imagine how I felt when I saw that there is a French bakery that just opened in my neighborhood. The area is still under construction, so expect dust and cement mixers scattered about the area. Upon entering the bakery from the parking lot in the back, there is a sit down area to the left for patrons who would rather enjoy their baked goods in house. On the right is where the magic happens. Grab a tray, wax paper liner for the tray and tongs and start your journey to heavenly goodness. I grabbed a few things that interest me and which I found tantalizing to the eyes then headed to the counter to check out. The prices were reasonable as I'm so used to California prices which are exorbitantly higher. The check out clerk was a little distracted helping out her fellow clerk who was calling out an order and no one was responding. Got home and checked my receipt. I was charged twice for 1 item. The rest were fine. I wasn't about to go drive back to rectify the error. But, if you go, make sure you get the Paris Baguette Crookie. It's a chocolate chip cookie in 3 mini croissants, topped with, I think another chocolate chip cookie. I'm not so sure as I ate that thing so fast! Definitely not my last. Went there with my husband today and we got the sticky milk bun. We asked the cashier if they could warm it up. They proceeded to stick their gloved finger into the aluminum tin it comes it and say "uh...i guess if i can get it out of this".... The same gloved hand that has touched God knows what else, the touchscreen monitor, dirty money from customers and like i said, who knows what else. I said please don't put your finger into it. They did not listen. I sad forget warning it, may i grab another one since you stuck your finger into that one. To which they responded "sure i guess" with a shocked look on their face. Let's train to have some hygiene standards! Have some decency to know not to shove your dirty gloved finger into someone's dessert!!!!!! Never, ever, ever, going back. Avoid this place.
