I was the only customer here and was quickly greeted and was able to pick up what I wanted plus more. I have been coming here for years and every time I do, it's great service, polite staff, and amazing pricing. I'm disappointed in the negative reviews because I have never had a bad time. It's usually impatient people who don't do their research on what baklava is or how ordering trays work that they end up giving themselves a bad time and taking it out on the businesses. As other people have indicated in their reviews the name of this business is a bit misleading as we came here looking for French Pastries after watching Pastry week on the Great British Baking show on cable the other night (got to feed the itch once you get it). Once we arrived though we realized this is really a Mediterranean Bakery with a heavy emphasis on all things Baklava. Having reconciled ourselves that French pastry we're not on the table on this trip we decided to give their Baklava a try as it looked so good in their display. This business typically sells by the tray not individually. However seeing how much we wanted to try just a few pieces of their assortment they accommodated us letting us purchase 6 pieces of Pistachio, almond and a third one that unfortunately escapes me for $6 which was very reasonable. All three choices were very well baked and very tasty albeit very very sweet! They definately know how to do Baklava right at this business! Food aside, the people here were very friendly and very accommodating where we truly appreciated them selling individual pieces that are not part of their normal practice. Two bit thumbs up for putting the customer first as this is not always the case in this area. Aside from their large Baklava selection, they do have a large selection of other pastries, cakes, cookies and assorted desserts that look quite good that we did not get a chance to sample on this trip. I came here to try the viral Dubai Chocolate Strawberries. There was a piece of wood in my food and was shredded pieces of it in the food, my boyfriend went in to inform them and they didn't believe him. I had to come in and the girl was acting as if i was lying as well, and showed no concern that there was a piece of wood in the food. And they don't give refunds so i was out $15. Very disappointed for my first time trying this place. I got new strawberries so thank you for that but the lack of CONCERN for there being wood in your food I will never be going to this business again. They didn't care at all. read more

I am extremely disappointed :( These were the worst Pastries I've ever had. I bought two small Vanilla layered Cakes, and two Cakes slices-- one Devils Food Chocolate and one Red Velvet. The Vanilla cakes tasted like oil. The Red Velvet was extremely bitter and the Chocolate tasted off like it was extremely old. As well, all of the cakes were horrendously dry. I am so sad it took me this long to find this gem. In the past I drove all the way to Dearborn to get my baklava but now I can go 5 minutes from home. The baklava is amazing and they have a variety of cookies, cakes and other middle eastern pastries. A MUST try! I find myself going here almost every weekend now. The staff is very nice and accommodating. They will box up your order for easy transport. I now stop in to grab a box of fresh baklava for any parties or events I want to take something to. We went to this place on Saturday night- The two young girls were busy with customers so we patiently waited- we had plenty of time to choose our sweet treats- Service was flat- No greeting- we pointed, she out on a tray, wrapped, took $ and bye- I love Kenafeh (sp?) - We ordered a slice and 5 small baklava's type cookies- I think it came to $6...which was great! So inexpensive- There aren't any prices listed- Inhaled it all that evening- The kenafeh was perfect- nice thick slice, not too sweet, perfect ratio of cheese to crisp noodle crust... of course we had to go back... the next day The next day- there was an older lady who was much friendlier - I couldn't find the kenefeh we ordered the night before - instead there was a very bright orange kenefeh looking item which the lady insisted is what I bought the night before- What do I know??!so we got two slices of that and 4 large birds nest baklava- I didn't care for the bright orange kenefeh- it was super sweet and one slice was so flat ( end corner) and had a very thin bit of cheese but lots of crisp noodle crust-- That was disappointing and especially since it all came to $16 ... I really wanted to love this place, but it didn't quite do it for me. They have tons of options in terms of pastries, Mediterranean desserts, baklava, etc. maybe it's because I just haven't tried their best items. I had a craving for chocolate cake on my way home from work so I stopped by here and got a slice of chocolate cake, carrot cake, and a pistachio vanilla cake. I also got a few pieces of baklava. The baklava was amazing! The cake slices were perhaps a little too moist and did not fully exude the flavors that I was hoping they would. The chocolate cake, while it looked like chocolate cake, did not really deliver the flavor. The carrot cake was decent. The pistachio vanilla cake had somewhat of an odd flavor that I can't fully explain. My husband and I ate maybe half of each slice between the two of us. The person working there was very nice and helpful. I learned from her that they do have a knafeh cheesecake, which I might return to try. If there was worst then a Zero i would of gave it to this place !!!! I west two. Days ago to order big tray of sweets for my party they told me the tray will be full completely and it will wight 5 pounds i said thats fine!! The day of my party i send my dad to Puck ul the tray!! When he get home the tray is almost half way full!! I call the store the worker started yelling at me and told me u said 5 pounds when the trurg was that she told me that it hold max5 pounds when i went to order!!! After i was like u told me this?? I didn't recognize one Parisian pastry in the place. Mostly middle eastern items. Everything was sweet. Really sweet. What they call honey is actually corn syrup and they must go through 50 gallon drums of the stuff because they charge by the pound. The one star is for the pistachio baklava which was really good. This dessert spot has a lot of good middle eastern treats and some beautiful looking cakes and pastries. We have had quite a bit of baklava here and it is always fresh and fantastic. The girls working here are always helpful and it is very very clean. We have had some of the cakes and they are a little sugary for our taste only because i prefer the creamy cakes. Got our wedding cake here. Asked for marbled, got yellow and it was dry. The fondant and was way too thick and gummy. It looked nice tho.

We were excited to have found a nice place to buy desserts - everyone loves dessert - but our opinion changed immediately when the wretch behind the counter opened her mouth. Everything she said was rude, short, and made me want to leave immediately. I only completed the purchase because I was in complete shock, that a proprietor of business could be so rude to their customer. I really do hope that our experience was a fluke, that the person "helping" us was only a part time employee and that the business owner does not share her horrible distaste for human interaction; if so, then this business will not be open long.
