We ended up staying at the Courtyard after a super nice young lady hooked us up with a free upgrade... now that's service!! The room was spotless and spacious, with a fireplace, robes, and a jacuzzi tub that made it feel like a mini getaway within the trip. Location couldn't have been better and easy access to everything, especially Haystack Rock. Comfortable, convenient, and excellent service all around. Would absolutely stay here again. The stay for my husband and I was great. We had a nice view from the 2nd floor. We had a mini fridge which helped keep our drinks and other food items we bout while out and about fresh. The bed was comfortable and the fireplace was a nice touch of warmth and comfort to relax after being out in the small town and beach. Communication with the staff went well. A very nice choice for a stay in Cannon Beach. Wonderful location! you're steps from the beach and Haystack Rock, and in each direction, very close to some nice casual restaurants and the fancy looking Wayfarer (which we never got around to going in sadly) oh this includes the whiskey bar downstairs! And a short walk either along the beach or up the road to the center of town with the main concentration of shops and eats. We splurged here and got a room with a claw foot tub, which my partner used many times! That room is also huge, with windows on two walls. Definitely a fun location (tho having a streetlight right outside one window was not great). The cute little lobby has a lot of amenities packed in; coffee and spa water daily, ice machine, and a generous bowl of salt water taffy candies, ooooh! I hear you can also order drinks from the whisky bar and enjoy them her like you had your own private salon. Didn't quite get to try that tho. read more

It's very difficult to reach anyone at this hotel if you have any issues. Our room flooded with shit all over and we could not use the bathroom for half the period of time that we were there. Also, the room was not available for check-in until after 4 PM, which is the latest check-in time I've ever experienced at a hotel. The staff was very friendly, but it's almost impossible to reach them to have something resolved. After such a nuisance as the lights not working the smell of poop all over our room the toilet not being usable therefore not being able to use the bathroom for half the period of time that we were there we were promised reimbursements which did not happen. Overall, this is a very cute hotel and the staff is very nice but the management & their website, their ability to answer the phones and respond in a timely manner to issues made our experience somewhat of a nightmare. read more

The hotel was lovely. The staff is amazing special shout out to Maya! The only complaint I have is the shower. The shower head snd pressure were great however the shower is very small and the curtain totally engulfed you. It clings to you when you are trying to shower and it's very claustrophobic. Prime features of this venue: outstanding service, unbeatable location. The staff are very thoughtful, considerate, and dedicated to customer comfort -- Cameron, Taylor, Judith, Pam, Jeremy, Scott. You get to know their names because they are so friendly and present, whether because you locked yourself out and needed help to get back into your room, or left your phone in the lobby, or because they know you're worried about the roads and want to make sure you have the most updated information from ODOT. Room Seven is definitely the way to go. Spacious room with separate toilet/shower and bathtub with claws. Bath salts are provided and the tub is designed for someone who is tall or long so it was truly comfortable to soak in her warm after a cold night of star gazing on the beach. The hotel also provides wonderful signature bath robes for lounging. The shower also has excellent pressure. Excellent heat. I brought a book with me so I really enjoyed sitting in the very comfortable velvet reading chairs after my bath. In the morning turned on the fireplace and looked out windows facing the ocean with brass telescope -- the mechanisms move beautifully and delivers pristine views. Hotel lobby has wonderful brewed Sleepy Monk coffee all day -- filled up my Hydro flask before my morning beach walk. They also have lemon ice water round the clock, which I appreciate so much more than plastic bottles in the room. The lobby fireplace was going, which worked so well as the temperature was below freezing as it was all weekend. Out the door and walk less than a minute: you'll have one of the most iconic views of the Haystack Rock. Lobby is connected to the excellent MacGregor's Whiskey Bar which makes very good carnitas tacos, satisfying weekend brunches, and has an excellent collection of scotches, whiskeys, bourbons, ryes. They have the best staff who deliver service with humor and I have lots of scotch/whiskey knowledge to share. It's always fun eavesdropping on their conversations with other customers to learn about different scotch as I haven't tried yet. read more

Charming New England style hotel a block from the beach and close to town, it's the perfect place for an overnight or week stay. During Covid, they are taking all precautions including delivering breakfast to your room in a basket along with all utensils and a pot of hot coffee. Having been stuck at home for 7 months due to the Pandemic, I really needed a change of scenery. Walking the beach, visiting the shops, taking in the breathtaking views of Ecola State Park, and having dinner out, including adult beverages, is so much easier if you stay overnight. The Cannon Beach Hotel provided everything I needed. Clean room and bathroom, comfy robe, smart TV (watched some movies on HBO) and just a block from the beach and a short walk into town. They even left two chocolate chop cookies and a few pieces of taffy to enjoy. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was preordered when I booked the room and I didn't know what to expect. I was delightfully surprised! A basket was delivered to my door at 8:30am as requested. Inside was a pot of fresh, hot coffee, homemade bran muffins, scrambled eggs, sausage and a potato dish. Everything was delicious. The hotel is old and they have done their best to modernize the bathrooms. I'm all about cleanliness and I found everything cleaned to my standards. Even the remote controls for the tv were sanitized. I'll definitely be back! But probably not in the hot weather as they don't have air conditioning and I can't sleep if it's hot. We are enjoying a special stay in a great coastal town because of this charming hotel and all the thoughtful service and touches CBH does with ease and grace. We were welcomed by a gregarious, warm host. Even though we arrived at this small, charming hotel 30 minutes early, our room was ready for us, including special chocolates to help celebrate my husband's birthday. Everything about this place sings: quiet rooms, delivered breakfast, comfortable beds, beautiful artwork, and outstanding customer service. I have a bias for hotels like this, and I will definitely be back for walking on the beach, walking to local restaurants, and for relaxing in a clean room with the windows opened to the ocean breeze and sound of the surf. My husband and I decided to do an overnight getaway and stayed at the main Cannon Beach Hotel. The environment is so welcoming and comforting as soon as you enter the lobby! Staff was very friendly and we appreciated that we were also able to communicate by text. It was a VERY short walk to the beach and Haystack walk and a few blocks from the downtown area, so location was extremely convenient. Our room was very clean and had a nice big fireplace right by the bed. We definitely got the home-y AirB&B vibe from our room rather than the usual hotel aesthetic. We loved it! The only thing we weren't a fan of was the shower.. it was a stand-up shower where the curtain enclosed around you so it was hard to avoid contact with the curtain during the shower (we have a weird thing about that). I know not all the rooms are the same though, so that will be easy to avoid if you try. The provided breakfast was delicious and filling! We meant to just grab a quick bite but ended up getting more than we expected! Coffee/tea/juice-milk, housemade granola for yogurt, hard boiled eggs, a variety of fruit and pastries and bagels, even fresh avocado and other fixings. Breakfast was set up in the adorable cafe right off the lobby. We loved our experience here and will definitely be back when we return to Cannon Beach and pay the little extra to upgrade to a premier room where there's a tub :) Thank you CBH for the delightful stay! read more

We stayed at The Courtyard, which I booked through Expedia. I think I'm going to stop using sites like Expedia, Priceline and Booking. You can't ask questions or say what you want! Pics and descriptions were better than the reality and it's confusing when photos of two different properties are blended together (the Courtyard and the Cannon Beach Hotel). We didn't get the room I was anticipating. The room was fine. It did have a little deck overlooking a small courtyard and a fire place (which would've made for a more cozy ambiance, but it was too warm out to use it). The king bed was pretty comfortable and the room included a huge jacuzzi bathtub, but the actual bathroom was pretty tiny. The best thing was that it was very peaceful and quiet. The bummer was the lack of customer service. You're pretty much on your own at that particular property and the people we did occasionally encounter weren't the friendliest. It was our 10th wedding anniversary, and for a special occasion, when you're coughing up over $700 for two nights, you just hope for a little more. We plan to come back to Cannon Beach in a couple years and get an ocean view room at the Surfsand. We hung out at their nightly beach fire and talked to a few people staying there who were raving about it, and their ocean view rooms look right out over Haystack. When I called to ask what their ocean view rooms cost this weekend (end of Sept), I was told it was only $60 more per night than what we paid for no view!! Ugh. Live and learn. Update: on our way home, staff texted me to say I'd left behind my nice kimono robe and they were kind enough to mail it to me at no charge, which was very helpful. read more

Hi, I was really trying to let this experience go. First let me clarify your comments below. No one was in our room. It was myself, my pregnant wife and our dog. I think you should get your facts straight before making accusations. Our "family member" who stayed at the Cannon Beach Hotel left that review and they had the extra person who they notified your staff of. They were not Asian so maybe you thought they were not family as I outlined below. As for breakfast I was kind and said thank you to your staff. Again I think you need better sources. I'm ok with not staying in your establishments as this again clearly outlines how dishonest your response is without being present and not knowing the full facts. Wish you the best and take care. Thank you This was the worst experience I've had. I called in advance to make sure that pets were accepted and was told yes by the receptionist. Then I went ahead and booked on Expedia way in advance for our 4th of July trip. Then to get a call from the hotel later to tell us that my reservation was cancelled. I spent 3 days with Expedia and this establishment trying to resolve the issue as it was a family trip with other members of the family. I asked what they could do and the only thing they offered was a higher priced room at the full rate or another hotel. Of course I wanted this hotel as family was there. I argued that the room was still available on all the booking websites and why they were telling me to book a more expensive room. After 3 days of me having to call back as they never called me back they finally offered me an the upgraded room. I arrived to find out no pets allowed and the staff was rude about our situation. I asked well I can't leave the dog in the car. They stated it's July. Who would say that about a loved family member who is like 5lbs. Then the owner offered to pay the difference for another hotel. Then they found one of their pet friendly establishment was available and quickly took that statement back. Please see attached for the room they gave to us at full cost. With being compensated a horrible breakfast and the pet fee. They even messed up on the contract and invoice. I'm not one to write a bad review as I try to be the bigger person. But this was really the worst experience I've had. It's sad to see making $ is worth more then the people and their pets. On top of that they had a dog in the restaurant attached to the hotel but we can't have a dog in the hotel? Anyhow this ruined my whole 4th when I should be celebrating the day with family. We stayed in Courtyard #18 which ended up being very nice. It's hard to tell from the listing so thought I'd send a photo here. The high points were the continental breakfast with homemade granola and almond milk--it's a block away at a nice hotel (CBH) and the dining room there is sweet. The bed was lovely and the roku tv made it seem like home. The gas fire was great too but we would have gone without it for the noisy flue which amplified the blustery wind all night. Very clean, warm and well insulated with a fridge, two burner stove and coffee/tea provided in the room as well as in a common "library" fireplace area facing onto the courtyard. (keurig thing didn't seem to work but we aren't big coffee addicts anyway.) No view in this room unless you step outside and look around the corner on the terrace. Recommend the Wayfarer restaurant, also a block away for sustainably raised local fare and lots of fresh seafood. Huge servings. This room was much nicer than it appeared as advertised. read more

Booked this place when I had a conference to attend in a nearby community but wanted to stay away from the conference site. I love Cannon Beach, always have, but had never stayed at this property. I booked it online because I liked the Cape Cod feel of the place. From check in to check out, everything was great. The staff was friendly, the room was clean and quite comfortable and the included breakfast was a step above most. We were gone most of the day but upon return each evening we received a personalized greeting from the front desk staff. We were so impressed that we booked our next stay before we left. read more

It is not a fraudulent review as we stayed in your suite from the 4th - 6th if July 2018.. Please look that up. I can send you your charges you charged our card. This would be the WORST place to stay in Cannon Beach. Looks inviting from the road but once you are inside the most insensitive, rude and unkind staff is employed by a careless owner who does not empower her staff to do the right thing but all about that dollar to be made as she quickly left home when we had an issue that needed to be solved she instructed her staff to take care of this but no compensation was to be given. We were told pets where allowed, upon arrival we were declined and were told to put our little pup in the car overnight. When that was not an option we were offered a downgraded room in a sister hotel with no compensation of any sort except a one time free breakfast (which by the way is warmed up leftovers from three days ago) and compensated the pet fee of $15. We own a business and that is no compensation, that right there is what you call a penny pinching place. I also overheard how the front desk staff, in particular the manager in the front treating the other guests as if they were children in the way she spoke with them. Clearly this is not the position for her as she was quickly flustered and talked behind there back once they left her view. We also had a guest with us who used the pull out couch and no sheets were provided the second night nor when asked for extra bedding we were told they do not have any extras. We had to share our bedding with the person using the couch. Unfortunately this place is -5stars...never to return nor recommend to others. With all the social media reviews we start with Yelp and continue down the list. We will also have BBB inspect this business. ***Note to owner: Because of your ranting and wanting to prove your point (you were not there remember...you left while your guests were being thrown out by your one rude employee at the front desk) we will now post this review on all social media and all travel sites. read more

We really enjoyed our stay here. The price was right at only $120 on a Thursday, one of the lowest we found in the area. The mattress was really firm, which we both prefer, so we slept well. The decor of our room was warm and inviting. It was really quiet here, too. The staff were friendly, salt water taffy was a sweet touch (we ate it all, of course), and the hotel is close to the beach and shops (ample parking, too). The bathroom was cramped, but we loved the shower. The food at the Cafe downstairs was delicious. We had a late night "Killer Brownie" attack and, man, that dessert is divine! Be careful, it's extremely rich and it might seriously kill you. Breakfast at the Cafe was great - I had the best bagel of my life there, along with a huge bowl of fresh fruit. My husband had their biscuits and gravy, also very good, with just a hint of curry or some such spice. Yummy! With the breakfast vouchers from the hotel, we only paid $6 for our meal. Cannon Beach Hotel Collection - "Killer Brownie" from the Cafe downstairs - Hotels Near Me - Cannon Beach, Oregon

We stayed here recently and will definitely return! It's a quick, half-mile walk (if not less) into town, less than a block off the beach, and another quick walk in the other direction to Haystack Rock. It's not right on the beach, but with the amount of fun things to do in C.B., we knew we wouldn't be in our room much anyway! Sure the room was small (room #4), but so charming. We loved the dish of saltwater taffy by the bed, free coffee, tea, cocoa and fresh fruit in the lobby, and continental breakfast which was included. The service in the attached cafe was definitely lacking (i.e. extremely slow & a bit disorganized), but for a free breakfast that was delicious, we were OK with being patient. I've gone to Cannon Beach nearly every year for over 20 years, and this is one of my favorites! You can't beat the location, the room was clean and beyond cute, and the price was definitely right. Print out the "new visitor bonus" of $20 savings and tell them you have that when you make the reservation by phone. But, be sure to bring that coupon with you -- they do ask for it when you check in. read more

This is my second review for the hotel. My first review was for the room we stayed in at their second building down the street. This review is for a room we stayed in at their main building. This is a wonderful stay for people who want a quieter time at Cannon Beach, away from the main drag that is 3/4 miles away and from the larger hotels. This is a great stay for couples, since children are not allowed to stay in the main building. So no loud, crying, disruptive, whiny kids around. The rooms at the main building are quite nice. These rooms are like ones from a boutique hotel. Pros: -fireplace. -two lounge chairs next to the fireplace. -claw bathtub!!! -heated towel rack. -canopy bed (and it's not cheesily decorated with drapes). -two blocks away from the beach, and Haystack rock is right there. -continental breakfast in their French style bistro. Cons: -noise from the street (we stayed here Labor Day weekend, so I would imagine it to be quieter on non-holiday weekends). -spider in the shower (can't really blame the hotel). -funky smell in the hallways (however, all coastal hotels have that funky ocean smell, so I can't really blame the hotel on this either). read more

Friends, in my opinion AVOID THIS HOTEL... mainly for SANITARY health issues...until they change a policy. Described in this note. First please let me ask you something. 'If you ran a restaurant, how long would you stay in business if your policy was that when each meal guest was done eating they were required to HAND WASH their own dishes for the next guest's use, but without sanitizing the dishes?' Appalling? I think so. At Cannon Beach Hotel something akin to this is actually going on. You'll see. If you owned Cannon Beach Hotel, would you think it would be common sense to sanitize the eating ware you provided guests in your DINING ROOM? Of course you would. And you'd do it. (State law actually, I believe). But, would you intentionally choose NOT to sanitize the eating ware in the GUEST ROOMS prior to each guest's arrival? That's the sanitation issue I'm talking about at Cannon Beach Hotel, that's the policy they've chosen. What the hell? Let me explain. Pretty stunning actually. When you arrive you will currently find Cannon Beach Hotel has chosen a policy NOT to sanitize the eating ware in your room prior to your arrival. There is no dishwashing machine in the unit so the PRIOR guest, under penalty of being fined $10 by the hotel, is required to wash the eating ware for YOUR arrival. In doing so it is IMPOSSIBLE to sanitize the eating ware; the water is far from hot enough. I believe the hotel should take these dishes to be washed in their restaurant kitchen commercial dishwasher to provide sanitation. Not doing so I believe jeopardizes the health of all subsequent guests in the room. It is easy to imagine that as a result of using non-sanitized eating ware in a guest room someone's toddler fell ill. Or a frail elderly person. Or a diet-restricted cancer patient. All of these types of people, and everyone else, I believe EXPECTS sanitized eating ware wherever a hotel offers it to the guests. My wife is a cancer patient, in fact, and susceptible to infection. Allowing an unknown prior guest to wash dishes for our arrival, we believe, clearly increased her risk. And this resulted from an INTENTIONAL decision on the part of Cannon Beach Hotel. But a decision easily changed if they wished; sanitize the guest room dishes in the kitchen dishwasher. They don't. Here's why. As you might guess, this risk is a result of a legal loophole (drafted by the Innkeepers lobby?). The loophole is contained in the statue which UNEQUIVOCALLY requires SANITATION...... ..........but......................... provides a loophole to clearly AVOID IT, which Cannon Beach Hotel does. To wit: Oregon State Law: LODGING UNIT KITCHENS 333-0290110: (3) Utensils supplied in lodging units shall be washed, rinsed and sanitized after each occupancy according to OAR 333-150-0000 parts 4-6 and 4-7, or have a notice stating "For your convenience, dishes and utensils have been washed. If you would like to further sanitize these items please contact the manager." The sanitizing agent shall be available in the office. People, that's really spooky. Cannon Beach Hotel has the option of NOT sanitizing items in your room and telling you that the items "have been washed". But they WON'T TELL YOU that the 'washing' was done by the PRIOR GUEST and that it was IMPOSSIBLE for them to sanitize the dishes. Or, in lieu I guess you can try to find a manager (desk is closed about 10 pm) and lug everything to the front office for sanitizing. (Good grief.) If you are beginning to smell a rat---a lodging industry lobbyists' sanitation health dodge--- I do too. As a result, are the following outcomes very hard to imagine: -What if the PRIOR guest was in a hurry, and did a really poor washing? -The PRIOR guest cannot possibly sanitize them; standard hand wash is 110-115 degrees. -Water temperature for sanitation is about 155 degrees. -Maybe the PRIOR guest only washed them in lukewarm water? -Maybe they just rinsed them in cold water and put them back. -Maybe they put them back without doing anything? -Maybe they had an infection on their hands -Maybe sneezed into the dishwater What this hotel is doing is perhaps technically legal, but clearly exceeds COMMON SENSE, DECENCY, COURTESY, THOUGHTFULNESS for arriving guests. And the result is, at Cannon Beach Hotel, until they change a policy, I believe you stand a potential of running into possibly contaminated dishware in the rooms here. So don't go there. Sanitize them yourself Cannon Beach Hotel, don't expect your guests to have to request it. Folks....in my opinion BOOK A DIFFERENT LODGING FACILITY in Cannon Beach. One that shows their respect to you by sanitizing ALL their eating ware. [PS. Claudia....(she's the owner who reads these things, folks).... when you start sanitizing the dishes in your rooms, I will remove this review and post a highly complementary one for your thoughtfulness]. read more

Stayed here recently during Memorial day weekend for the very first time. The place looked cute & nice from the outside as well as inside. The lobby was charming. They had complimentary tea, coffee & cookies laid out for the guests. They give you a dinner voucher when you check in( 10% discount if you choose to dine at their restaurant) Also complimentary DVDs to watch in your room are available. Quite a selection! Coming to our room, we had the Classic room with the Queen bed. It was cozy and loved the fact that it had a fireplace. Just the bathroom was a tad small especially the shower. The morning breakfast was buffet style. Enjoyed the mimosas. The scones & croissants were fresh and delicious. House made granola also good. Service was polite & attentive. The restaurant is adorable. Location is also a plus. Haystack Rock is just at the back. There is a grocery store next door . All the shops & restaurants are at about 10 minutes walking distance. Booked this room online and was very pleasantly surprised at how nice our room was. Even though our room faced onto Hemlock Street, the nighttime traffic noise wasn't an issue for us. Plenty of toiletry amenities. But -- the best part of all -- was the incredible buffet breakfast!!! Certainly weren't expecting that and it was fabulous!!! This is a lovely establishment! It has attentive staff and the comforts of home; cozy linens, fireplaces, and decor put you immediately at ease. Their deluxe breakfast is delicious! The bacon they use is amazing and perfectly done, there are croissants, coffee, juices of all flavors, and many other yummy things to choose from. There is a server, even for the buffet breakfast who is again attentive to keeping your table cleared and offering a complimentary mimosa. YUM! The downfall is that the internet in the rooms is weak. Being here to do some work and relaxation proved to be difficult due to the weak signal; however, I popped down to the cafe and worked there. I absolutely love this hotel and am looking forward to staying at their other properties. It is a great B&B that falls into my top go-to places. And it brings you to Cannon Beach, which in itself is a perfect place to visit. Cheers! read more

A word of caution. We were required to hand wash the dishes for the next guests and there is not a dish washer. Aside from the obvious risk that guests may do this poorly it seems a pet friendly room might allow Fido may do the dishes Otherwise quite a nice room and friendly people. read more

This place was awesome to stay in. The room we stayed in was a decent size with a gas fireplace that quickly transformed the room to a furnace like environment. The hotel is steps away for the beach and very close to the Haystack Rock. The food in the cafe was exceptional and we couldn't ask for better service. I recently got a post-stay letter of thanks for the Cannon Beach Hotel Lodgings group, and this was my reply. Hi there, Thanks for the 'thanks'. We really enjoyed our stay in Cannon Beach with you guys. We have a few things to share: (+) Pluses: Beautiful room decor. The hotel is gorgeous on the surface. Interior decoration, very attractive. Holiday theme, colors.. just beautiful. Breakfast at the Cafe was a bargain, huge plus. The Sat/Sun morning crew was very good. Guy with the white/gray hair = excellent server. Freshly baked cookies on Friday arrival = excellent touch. Loved them. The music in the lobby, big plus. The hotel just has a great feel. Keep your style. The price was right, $75/night for the off-season. (-) Minuses: The wireless signal in Basic Room # 4 was very poor. We noticed a long blue Ethernet cable in the Entertainment center drawer and thought you all had Wired connections, apparently not...even though there's a jack where the telephone goes. You should consider wiring those up and/or EVEN BETTER setting up additional wireless access points throughout the hotel. They should be inexpensive nowadays. Having guests crowd the hotel living room to do their work or communicate with friends & family is inconvenient. We noticed the electrical plugs were loose behind the TV and other sections of the room. Guests beware. Those should get checked / repaired. The blinds facing the front of the hotel had the / \ --- | adjuster missing, if you get what I mean... they are stuck in the ---- position. They should probably be checked/repaired/replaced. The sink's pipes shake and/are noisey when using the hot water. Something is up with them. The mattress felt very cheap. Spongey and elastic like. Not the most comfortable in the world, when one sinks into the bed. Should consider replacing them with more quality bedding. Summary: I've always had a fascination with your hotel since I first stepped foot in it back in the summer of 2004. I finally gave it a try in fall 2010, to tell you the truth I was a little disappointed. Maybe it was just the room we got (Basic 4). However, if all the minuses are corrected, I'd be willing to spend a considerable amount more $/night for the stay ($90/night = offseason). Til then, $75/night is about right, leaving things just the way they are. read more

Cannon Beach Hotel Collection - Hotels Near Me - Cannon Beach, Oregon

Beautiful bed and breakfast very close to Haystack Rock. Easy to get to off of highway 101. Cute town with great hikes nearby. Pros: - The atmosphere of the hotel is cozy and quaint - has a lot of charm, was very clean and everyone was very friendly. - It's very close to the beach - a very short walk through a parking lot area and you're there. - The hotel provides beach chairs and towels, which we took advantage of to watch the sunset. - There are very lax (or maybe none at all) rules about having a drink on the beach. We took a bottle of wine and wine glasses to watch the sunset from the public beach - being used to Jersey beaches we felt like the Beach Patrol was out to get us but instead, in true west coast fashion, they didnt bat an eye and waved to us. - There are 2 great restaurants right across the street - The Irish Table (upscale, rustic, fresh fish) and Cannon Beach Hardware and Public House (great bar food, super casual, burgers. This place is actually a hardware store and a bar in one). Things to know: - We visited in Aug 2013 and the room was very warm when we got it. Since it's nice and cool outside (at night went down to low/mid 60s) we were able to keep the windows open and were fine. However, we did need to deal with noise outside. - The hotel is a good walk outside of the town center - maybe a half mile or so - but you can walk on the beach or along the road, which has sidewalks. - The hotel bathrooms are adorable but the shower is a pain. The 2 options we had were a bath and separate stall shower with an overhead shower head. The shower itself was very small and a bit claustrophobic - the hotel actually recommends turning off the water to lather up and then turning it back on to rinse. read more

This is the second time we've stayed at The Cannon Beach Hotel and have loved our experience! It's such a charming little New England style inn with a great location close to town. The staff is so friendly and wonderful- especially Trey! A delicious breakfast is included daily along with fresh baked chocolate chip cookies placed in their lobby in the afternoons. We enjoyed an amazing dinner in their cafe- both the salmon and prawns were excellent! Will definitely be back on our next visit to Cannon Beach- simply the best!! read more

Just O.K. This is a quaint, New England style Inn located about a block from the beach. The atmosphere of the hotel is great and the cafe is pretty good. However, the front desk is staffed by an unfriendly lady named Holly who definitely doesn't belong in the hospitality business. Also, the rooms are small and our room only had a double bed. Combine the tiny bed with a hot room that is impossible to cool and you have a pretty tough time sleeping. I'd say this would be a better place to stay in the cooler months. On the plus side, the owner, Pierre, is a very warm and friendly man and it is for his sake I had a really hard time writing this less-than-positive review. The only way I'd stay here again is if they got rid of Holly. read more
