Whenever I open the driver side door, there's a loud cracking sound, took it to Lincoln collision center in Lakeville and they gave me an estimate for $7500 to replace cracked door hinges that on a Ford escape is a manufacturing defect. Also, I've read a lot of other people complaining about the same problem because the door is too heavy for those cheap hinges they put on. This is horrible customer service, this is not even safe. They offered to pay half of the 7500. That is still insane. That is a manufacturing defect without a doubt, I already filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau so we'll see what happens, probably nothing. I've had Lincoln's since 2002, Continental, the MKX and now the Nautilis and I'll never get another Lincoln ever again. This sucks. Lincoln should accept responsibility for their poor selection of metal to support such a heavy heavy door. I think they should classify it as manufacturing defect and pay for the whole damn thing. I needed some work done that I could not do as oil changes is about as handy as I am. I went to Yelp to get some ideas. Asked for for estimates. Several got back to me and some made some stupid suggestions. Except for Kristy and Tim. I had them do the work and it was done very fast, very reasonable and happy with the results. Tim makes sure that you know what you need and what can wait. He doesn't try to talk you into any un needed work. He explains everything very well. Tim is a very nice guy. His wife gave me a ride home because my truck had to stay a day or two. She was very friendly and is also a mechanic. If you haven't tried Tims Repair then next time give them a try. I did a little research on a truck they had and decided to make the 3 hour drive to check it out. I met Ahmed when I arrived and he was able answer all my questions. I took the truck for a drive and was impressed with it. Ahmed went above and beyond to ensure we received the best value for our dollar so we decided to purchase the truck. Someone calls me back and I asked to send me a video and if the car has any major damage to take pictures of it Or any abnormalities take a picture of it I was dealing with a salesman named Chris. rather quickly they get back to me with a video of a cold start and pictures but no mention of any damage or flaws on the car. They just said it was in great shape ran great beautiful car all the typical salesman talk. so I'm in Vail, Colorado, which is the middle of the Rocky Mountains These guys are in Minnesota. We've never seen this car didn't get to touch the car. Hear the car 100% trusting in these guys to be honest fourth right I've bought not exaggerating upwards of 75 to 100 cars in my life and sold just as many I've bought very few cars at dealerships for this reason we bought the car site unseen they were supposed to ship it to our house. They said $1400 will ship it to you. We'll get it shipped out in a day or two so couple days go by nobody picks up this car to drive. We keep texting and asking they said yeah no one is picking up the contact to ship the car. I called a few around and they're like well. Nobody's gonna drop your car off in the mountains. Nobody wants to drive there. You have to drop it off in Denver then go get it yourself if you want anybody to pick that car up. so after waiting six days for these guys to ship the car, I asked them to cancel their contract they had and I would do it myself and they did and I got the contract for $850 delivered to Denver in one day the car was delivered in three days it cost half. these guys should've known the shipping process but they really didn't. They had $1400 of my money they couldn't figure out how to Zelle me back my $1400 they Zelle me $400 and said the thousand they couldn't have to figure out how to Zelle like just kept coming back with an error but somehow when I bought the car they were able to take my Zelle of 20 something thousand dollars in 20 minutes but couldn't return my money that they had for a couple weeks. used car dealership probably needed the money for inventory. We go pick up the car bring it back to Vail and as a car guy I start checking the car out. Let's just say they left a few things out. let's start with the wheels and tires now we bought an AMG everything for this car is pretty expensive. Every single wheel is destroyed. One has a huge bend in it. Another tire has a leak in it. All the rims only have four bolts instead of five bolts one of the tires came to us with 12 psi now retail these rims and tires will run you about 4500 bucks next the rear bumper tow cover was gone. It's a big hole in the back of the bumper so could've sent me a picture of that. The car also came with no interior mats AMG mats are $500. No owners manual all of The outside body trim that is black is completely sun faded gray so all the black outside trim is gray both front seats pretty worn. we dealt with these guys for a couple hours. They sold the car in that time and that's all they did. They didn't get the car shipped, We did no one ever checked back with us or tried to help just random kind of boilerplate text back. We got the car before we got the title and our check back. We've had the car for a couple days. No one's called and asked how do you like your car every good? thanks for the purchase zero customer service zero both my wife and I work in the customer service industry and they have zero all they want is your money and they will say whatever you want to hear for you to give them your money.
