Solid breakfast/brunch spot. Good selection of options. I had one of the skillets--would've preferred the hash browns to be a bit more crisp, but still quite tasty overall. I sat at the counter and can say the large, fluffy omelets I saw coming out are enough to lure me back, and the other dishes likewise looked good. My chief gripes: orange juice appeared to be store bought (it's in Florida, surely I can get fresh??), and the water is horrible (I know it's not the only place with this issue, and maybe those who are used to it don't mind, but plenty of other places add filtering or something to eliminate a very easy-to-fix issue that brings down the experience). Address those two things, it's probably up a star. It's not a huge space, so you may well have a wait, even to sit at the counter (especially on a weekend). Service was fine. Friendly enough, I suppose, but seemed largely just to be going through the motions.

On our first morning in Panama City Beach, we needed breakfast. My fellow Yelpers said this was the place to try and it didn't disappoint! I had the biscuits and gravy and my daughter got the strawberry cheesecake French toast. My O My they both were delicious. The food was hot and flavorful, the service was on point. The restaurant was clean and modern with clean bathrooms. With the delicious menu, I could eat here again and again. The only downside is, the water had a funny taste. Being from out of town, I sort of expected it.

Great service and great food! We sat on the covered patio with our dog. We had a party of 4 people and everyone was very pleased with their meals. We would come back when we visit this area again.

    Sweet Potato Pancake. AMAZINNNNNGG!

I came in for brunch because another local favorite was overly packed and this came up as a highly rated option. I'm so glad to have ended up here. We waited about 10-15 mins to be seated. Thankfully they had a method to waiting and not just a line outside the door. Our waitress, Anastasia was very attentive and sweet. My mom and I shared the Ultimate Breakfast Burrito- the chorizo in this is SO flavorful. We also split the sweet potato pancake. I've never had anything like it. It didn't need any syrup. The candied pecans on top are to die for. I would order this every time I visit if I could. 10/10 recommend. My niece had the Mickey Mouse pancakes. It didn't exactly look like MM lol but still a super fun option for the kiddos. Overall we had a lovely dining experience. I would frequent this place often and dare to say it's a top brunch spot in 30A!

This was like a boujee diner. The food looked very aesthetically pleasing but lacked flavor unfortunately. We ordered the cinnamon roll and the BLT Benedict which was just bland and I had it on a biscuit which was so dry it was crumbling apart. One of my friends ordered the smoked salmon toast and I do have to say the amount of smoked salmon they put on it was a lot.

Really good food and pretty fast via DoorDash. The pancakes are HUGE! Ordered 2 regular pancakes and 2 pecan pancakes. I was satisfied after eating one pancake. The pecan pancakes were really good. Had a nice warm, sugary butter glaze on top. The breakfast potatoes were good. Your average breakfast potatoes. Really enjoyed the cheese grits. Usually I add salt and pepper to my grits. These didn't need any seasoning!! Highly recommend when in PCB!

    - Drop a like if you like the review Canopy Road Café never misses--especially when it comes to breakfast! I had the Ultimate Breakfast Burrito and it was hands-down one of the best I've ever had. Perfectly seasoned chorizo, melty cheese, fluffy eggs, and that ranchero sauce? Game changer. The flavors were bold but balanced, and the fresh pico and queso fresco on top took it over the edge. You can tell they put real thought into every ingredient. Service was fast and super friendly, and the whole vibe was welcoming. Whether you're local or just passing through, this place is a must for breakfast lovers. Can't wait to come back!

You know when you're wanting healthy breakfast, so you order it and it TASTES healthy? Meaning gross? Yeah.. well, not here. I got the doc something and my mind was blown. Definitely a healthy option and didn't bore my taste buds. The service was exceptional, food was fire and the place is adorable. Will be retuning for sure,

Canopy Road Cafe had the biggest appeal to me via the breakfast places in the area because of the food's clean and less heavy/sauced presentation. Location is convenient on the way back to the airport. Service was great, as sever had that sweet Southern mannerism. Ordered the skillet with hash, veggies n scrambled eggs. I was able to substitute the toast with one pancake!!! Loved the perfectly textured pancake; slightly crisped and golden but fluffy on the inside! Skillet needs more seasoning and the hash....well it needs to be crunchy or fried longer.

Good and cute brunch place. Friendly staff and good service. The food we ordered was very good. Can't go wrong with breakfast.

Breakfast tacos and you can see the biscuits

Located in an upscale part of Rosemary beach right where 30A begins. We were seated right away but I bet on normally weekends it would be packed. It has been really cold and rainy weekend in December. We ordered the biscuits which were delicious. My husband ordered the regular breakfast with eggs, meat, hashbrowns. He liked it all but the hash browns were a smidge overcooked. Nothing terrible. He still ate them. I got the breakfast tacos with bacon vs the chorizo. These were AMAZING! Definitely would go back if we ever come to town to visit. Really nice place too. Service was great and very attentive.

The staff and servers are more than attentive and very knowledgeable. And usually the food is amazing- but this time it wasn't great. The scallops were undercooked and expensive for just 2. I was very excited that paella is back on the menu but was really disappointed in it. The aioli was off putting for me and the mayonnaise seemed to overpower the dish. I would love for them to bring back some of the older dishes like the sticky ribs and old paella. I'm unsure if the chef has changed again but I feel like the food is declining each time I come. The best part of the meal was the complimentary bread with honey butter. I will definitely still come back but I really hope the culinary team addresses some of these issues.

Everything was highly unbalanced. We ordered the octopus, which was pretty good. The ceviche was terrible. Inedible - fish drowning in straight lime juice. I order ceviche OFTEN, and this was a huge miss for me. They need to add something sweet or creamy to balance the dish. It was way too acidic and very unpleasant, so much so that I returned ny dish after one bite. They were nice and let me order something else... I got the scallops. They were extremely bland, ironically missing any acidity. A tiny bit of lemon could have gone a long way on that dish. I didn't even eat half of it. Not worth wasting the calories. The creme brûlée was good... nothing super special, but luckily that's a tough one to mess up. Overall, I would absolutely not recommend this if you have a decent to good pallet for food. The food is way overpriced and just not very good. The dishes need quite a bit of tweaking to be balanced.

First visit and we'll definitely be back…read more This was our first time at Shades Bar & Grill, and it was a great experience. We went with a group of seven and everything from the atmosphere to the food made it a really fun night out. The location and vibe are fantastic -- lively but relaxed, the kind of place where you can easily settle in with friends and enjoy a good meal. We started with appetizers for the table: calamari, onion rings, and volcano shrimp. All three disappeared quickly. The calamari was really good and normally comes served over jalapeños, but since I don't eat them the kitchen kindly put them on the side for us. The onion rings were fantastic, and the volcano shrimp had a little heat (which the spice lovers at the table really liked). For dinner I had the hibachi steak over fried rice with yum-yum sauce, cooked medium. It was excellent -- tender, flavorful, and a generous portion. Others in our group ordered the same dish and loved it as well. The chicken nachos were huge (normally an appetizer but easily a full meal) with really tasty queso that had a bit of spice. The burger and flatbreads at the table also got great reviews. We also tried the chocolate dessert bomb at the end (not sure of the exact name), and it was fantastic -- chocolate mousse and cake inside a chocolate shell with whipped cream. Definitely worth sharing. The drinks were great, the service was friendly, and the whole place had a welcoming feel. One thing we really appreciated as well: they offer a military discount, which was a nice touch. We're locals and this was our first visit, but it definitely won't be our last. Highly recommend if you're in the Panama City Beach / 30A area.
