There is zero reason anyone should rate this place less than 5 stars. If you like any single Mexican type of food than this place is legit. They have so so many amazing options throughout their menu. The simple chips and salsa first set are totally yummy for sure. Those chips and that salsa was all legit. Then the food we each ordered was all good for us too. I had a el pastor taco version and it was very yummy for sure. All food was totally worth the time to be there. Also as I always mention, I think that service is more important than the tastes of any foods. So we did have a wonderful service in there as soon as we walked in and then we had a great server the whole time. read more

Stopped by this gem on the highway near Knoxville -- and wow, both the quantity and quality are on point! The plates are loaded with flavorful rice, creamy beans, fresh guac, and perfectly seasoned meats. While out visiting Knoxville from San Diego, we dined at Cantina Amigo's. A wonderful environment and great food! Warm, friendly service with a great menu gave us a wonderful dining experience! Next time we visit Knoxville we will eat here again for sure! read more

Great food at very reasonable prices. Super-fast friendly service. The large margaritas are quite large, if a bit too sweet. I only wish the music wasn't so relentlessly frenetic because it made it difficult to relax and eat dinner at a gentle pace. There were plenty of free tables, so it's not like they need people to rush. read more

First time the side w/my burrito was fries, but the burrito was pretty big and stuffed w/beans & rice plus the beef so all was good.

Customer Service, Please! My husband called in an order, simple, a la carte Chile Relleno with an order of rice. I love the rice there! Oops, the rice isn't in the bag. No big deal, just call back and they will fix it, right? WRONG! Samantha, who didn't take the order, tells my husband that we didn't order rice. She was being a total smart a$$. So my husband asks to speak to the manager. She says there is no manager on duty, on a Friday night! HA! So I go back down there with my Chile Relleno with no rice. Samantha meets me at the front and tells me again there is no manager and that we never ordered rice. Samantha then calls over other non-manager personnel to tell me that I am in the wrong! Finally, I say again that I will just wait for the manager (that's not on duty). Alex came over and handled the situation like a rock star. We probably spent about 200 a week there but we won't be back over a side of rice. Someone please explain that to Samantha, it's not about being right, it's about having customers that want to come again. read more

The restaurant does not have their signage up. Has a couple banners. Hubby went by and said they are packed, and some ones in the old Pueblos Grill. So on our way home we decided to stop in. We were greeted right away, by a very cute young lady with a huge smile. Given chips and salsa right away. She asked us for drinks and brought them quickly. She was very attentive, and nice. The place was very clean and business was steady. Lots of help, and they were helping each other with good team work. Hubby and I had shrimp, chicken,and steak fajitas for two. It was very good, rice, beans,pico, guacamole,and sour cream. And flour tortillas. So full we could hardly move. read more

Excellent food, super fast and friendly service. We were traveling through and decided to give it a try. So glad we did. Definitely more of a traditional "Mexican" than "Tex-Mex", but very good overall. I wish they had a "create your own combo" option instead of only fixed combos or at least, a dedicated taco selection. If you want only tacos, your only options are one combo that comes with two tacos, beans and rice or to buy them a la carte. It seems to me that they should have the ability to buy, e.g., a three taco meal. But that nit-pick aside, very good and super fast. read more

This place offers great food at generous portions for a fair price. My favorites are the arroz con pollo, the vegetarian plate #3, and their chimichangas. Salsa is also good, and fried ice cream is amazing. read more

After a long afternoon's drive we were very happy to be able to walk from the nearby Comfort Suites East to Amigos and Beer because, as my husband pointed out, walking would mean that the driver could have a margarita! The service was efficient and friendly, the food was delicious and fresh (not exceptional), and we enjoyed a a very relaxing end to a day of travel. Honestly just not that good. I'd say prices are more than reasonable actually pretty good. Service is good and fast and the food seems semi fresh. I say that because it was lunch and stuff like the rice and meat was a little crusty and tasted kind of old, but that might just be how it is, but I'd say it was leftover from the night before. That's the main reason I hardly ever eat Mexican for lunch it happens most places. It wasn't awful it just wasn't great. Honestly Taco Bell prob has more flavor. Even the salsa was just ok. I will say you could prob get out of here for cheaper that Taco Bell though, the prices are that good and the bell has kind of overpriced themselves. It's just a shame the flavor wasn't there, it hit on almost all the points but that, but isn't that the reason we go out for a great meal. This just isn't that place. Here is to hoping there is better Mexican in the area, if not I feel kind of sad for the area. There is way way better Mexican out there than what was served here. They did a good job on the decor and hiring of staff, just need to work on what the kitchen is putting out there. Good luck everyone. read more
