The tunnel is outdated and dirty. It kicks up dirt and rocks that scratches your paint, and trying to get on the conveyor belt scratches your rims. I confronted a manager about this, but he simply brushed it off, telling me that there's an employee at the beginning of the tunnel for a reason. What the manager didn't realize though, is that the gentleman wasn't really even paying attention. I had to crack my window and remind him to put tape on my back windshield wiper so it doesn't get ripped off. The tunnel often breaks down or causes accidents inside of it. When there are accidents, the manager sits in the office while the customers wander and wonder what to do. When it breaks down, there's a line way down Ponca Street. They operate every day, so they never take time to shut down and actually fix the thing. They should've fixed this tunnel before building a new one. It hardly cleans your car. Bird poop, dirt, dead bugs, ect. are still found when I leave the tunnel. I paid $37 to go home and clean it myself, when I've been to a Royal Farms car wash that got it all off for maybe $10. The interior stays a mess. They do a half assed job of vacuuming. My floor mats are thrown back in my car while soaking wet, which drips into my carpet. The water also gets on my tennis shoes, which makes it harder to grip my pedals. The tire shine is just grease and if it gets on your rims, it mixes with the break dust and dirt to create a beautiful sludge that drips everywhere. If it gets on the part of the tire that touches the road, good luck trying to stay in your lane. I've seen them put tire shine on a motorbike and the poor guy wrecked leaving. Somehow I always find tire shine on my wheels, despite a big ticket on my dash that says otherwise. The area you park your car is so dimly lit, they can hardly see what they're doing. I've watched a gentleman use a towel on my rims, then proceed to wipe down the rest of my cars, spreading break dust. The generally use the same rag to clean the bottom of your car and your windows, which leaves them streaky and hard to see out of. Whenever I drive off, I still have to use my windshield wipers because of the pitiful job they do wiping your vehicle down. I've tried to ask for assistance, I've tried just doing it myself, then I just stopped coming. Cheaper to just buy my own supplies at Wal-Mart and actually get a clean car in result. I have somehow had the pleasure of getting the same 2 greeters every time I have come. The first gentleman has dreads, offensive body odor, and reeks of marijuana. He's very polite, but I have to hold my breath around him and hope he finishes quickly. The second is a curly haired, black gentleman. He always blast loud rap music from his station, and it's very easy to hear the n-word from the end of the line. He always messes up my tickets, and just yells over his mic for someone to fix it for him. He tells me wrong prices and never knows the express packages. I don't even work here but I know I can get my seats shampooed. You shouldn't have to ask your manager that. Once I pulled up, he looks in my car, nods towards my chest, and says "Nice". Ew. The people who actually work on your car do not speak English. If you have a special request, you have to search for someone who does. They are all Hispanic and will change the presets on your radio to a Spanish radio station, which is something they shouldn't be touching at all. But to top it all off, they BLAST it. I've almost had a blown speaker because they put it on max volume and turn up my bass. The black manager that doesn't actually wear a manager's shirt is incredibly rude. I've overheard him behind the register making sexual remarks to another employee, making threatening remarks about customers, and his laptop is permanently on Facebook. He's gotten up in my face about stuff, but what really upset me was, I've seen him get in my car while it's in the back of the bay and hasn't been cleaned yet so he can sit on his cell phone. He moves it up, they clean it, he goes to another car. They used to offer cheaper packages, but removed them, and hiked up the prices on the new ones. When asked, an OWNER made a public Facebook post essentially saying that, since the start of Obamacare and the minimum wage increase, they actually have to pay their employee's, so they HAVE to charge more. Going back to the fact that the people who clean the vehicles do not speak English, they also get paid less than English speakers. They're not dumb, they're still people. hen one of their employees passed away, they only closed down for maybe 4 hours. They work on holiday's like 4th of July. This also goes back to the tunnel issue. I understand it's a business, but you charge $50/month for a membership, $37 for a wash, and have lines down the street. I'm sure you could afford to let your employees work, to let them take a paid vacation, to actually fix the crumbling location. read more

I've never been to the car wash itself, but I just had both my cars detailed by their new mobile detailing operation. At least in Baltimore, we don't have very many reputable mobile detailers to choose from. Sure I could have gone on craigslist and get some random guy to show up at my house, and I'm sure some of them are good, but I just didn't feel comfortable with that. I've heard a lot of great things about Canton Carwash itself and having that storefront reputation made me feel more comfortable with hiring them to come to my home where my family lives. I'm very happy I did too, because Anthony (the mobile guy) and his assistant were very knowledgeable about detailing and meticulous with my cars. He pulled up right on time in his newly built van that housed everything (including a massive water tank!). They don't just come out to clean your car, Anthony explained to me that it's equally about protecting your car from further damage. I gave him my massive dodge ram dually and my neglected 1980's bmw. Both turned out fantastic and much better protected against the elements. The nice thing about having Anthony come out to you get to ask him specific questions regarding your car that he can cater to. He's not just doing a generic cleaning on an assembly line. It's a very individualized service. The price is higher than at the car wash itself, but the customer service and convenience definitely makes it worth it. Just being able to talk to Anthony and get a lesson about proper paint/interior maintenance was worth the added cost. I have never written a review about a business before, but after the service I just received I can't resist! I took my minivan that I just recently purchased from a family member, and to say the that this vehicle was filthy, would be an understatement. It smelled, it had soiled dirt and food in the carpet, in the compartments, everywhere. Looking into this van you would think that it was 10 years older than what it is and that someone deliberately pulled dirt and oil in the carpets. Anyway I took the van there to get it a little clean, they did the best job ever! I knew it would take a little longer than the normal carwash/detailing would take, but not as long as it did. So I was a little pressed for time. Anyway when I found out it would take a little longer I informed the manager (I think) that I needed to get back to my newborn to feed her. Well he told me they would be a little longer, so he offered me a loaner smart car so that I could take care of my business, and that they would call me when they were done. Well when I arrived to pick up the van it looked completely different smelling and looking new! I saved so much money. I was going to just get the van recarpeted, and replace the seats, because it looked so bad. I have 2 other cars and advised him that I would be bringing those as well. I'm extremely impressed with their service, and happy with the decision to go there first before buying new carpet and seats. I love this place. Will never go anywhere else! read more

With all the snow this past winter brought, my car became one salty mess. So I came here after hearing good things about it. The first time I went was on a Friday around lunch time. The snow had just cleared and it seemed everyone and their mothers were at Canton Car Wash. Despite the long lines, it moved fairly efficiently. However, on my next trip, I went on a Thursday around 8AM (non-peak hour) and it was a much better experience. Overall, I really liked Canton Car Wash. It's a trendy and hip car washes (if you can call car washes trendy and hip); there's a coffee bar inside and there's iPads for you to use while you wait. Since I drive a hybrid car, one thing that immediately appealed to me was that hybrids get 50% off. Just make sure to tell them when they take your "order" at the very beginning that your car is a hybrid, especially if your car does not look like your typical hybrid car. There are various types of car washes you can get. The most expensive is the Platinum wash which is around $34 (non-hybrid price). While this is kind of pricey, it does include interior cleaning and washing rubber floor mats and such too. However, I think that the Gold may be a little better bang for your buck. Overall, it's a great place. I'd come back again (and have done so). read more

worst ever experience.. ran by unch of 18-22yr old kids and nothing but Mexicans work there. I'm not racist but the can not evenspeak any English at all.. today their hydraulic line broke and leaked oil all over truck,but everything should be fine cause I was told they DO NOT DO HAND WASHES so they sprayed cleaner on the truck and wiped it with a window rag... not the correct rafgs and all would be ggood because she gave me a $25 card for free wax.. r u kidding me?? and she had enough nerve to argue and yell back nn forth with me.. yea I was madd but wouldn't anybody be? I mean I still have oil all over wipers in every crack smeared on all my rims n tires,cant see out of side mirror it has so much oil smeared and what about inbetween the grille and headlight ECT.. it really showed me how unprofessional they are whe her friend came over and contributed to the yelling oh and she says, the friend "WELL WHATS A CAR WASH,ISNT IT SAME AS ME SPRAYING THIS CLEANER AND WIPE THE TRUCK OFF WITH RAG?" I am extremely unhappy with canton car wash. If you value your car at all please please do not go to canton carwash. I signed up for the VIP membership which consists of unlimited carwash and detail for around $50 a month. This seems like a good deal. However, the carwash itself is filthy. The water and scrubbers used are disgusting and immediately when entering the car wash there is a filthy aroma that enters through the vents and sticks for weeks after the wash. The detail job is rushed and many things are missed. Overall the car with literally be dirtier than before the wash. The worst part of the experience is that in fine print of the contract you must submit a cancelation request 72 prior to your billing date for it to be canceled. This is obviously only the case so that if you attempt to cancel your membership a few days before the next renewal they can charge you for another full month. Overall this is a very poor carwash and it is extremely overpriced. Please do not give them business I beg of you. Any other car wash I have ever been to is better and cheaper. I have been using Canton Car Wash for over a year now. 50+ washes. I am always delighted with how quickly I can pull in and get my car washed INSIDE AND OUT. If you are in a rush you can pull through and skip the interior detailing and be back on the road faster than filling up your gas tank. Or if you have 7 minutes to spare you can pull into one of the "bays" and have your car professionally detailed while you enjoy a cup of coffee, hop on an ipad, use the restroom, etc... The location, service, timelines, and quality make this by far the best car wash experience in the greater baltimore area. For the cost of a single car wash you can get unlimited washes for a month. $35-50 a month for interior and exterior washes and detailing is a no brainer for anyone who spends a lot of time in their car. I have used other car washes and nothing compares to this value. Value = Quality / Cost. Anyone complaining about the value proposition for this amazing car wash must not have compared this establishment to an alternative. Canton Car Wash IS THE BEST around for the money. read more

Canton Carwash, more like Can't WashCar. Man, I'll tell you my car was filthy when I took it to Canton Carwash but wowzer was it the filthiest after the carwash. The vents smelled as if dirty socks had been stuck in the radiator and there was a thick film all over the body of the car that you could visibly see. I ran my finger over the hood and boy was that finger blackened. The worst part which is most egregious was that there were small scratches all over from the towels they use. Must not be plush enough to wash a car. Overall terrible experience. If you have any self respect or value your hard earned cash find another car wash. There are plenty. Recently moved to the area and where I lived on the eastern shore, we don't get much cause for salt trucks, so since moving to the city, my car has been covered this winter. I asked a co-worker where a good place was to get my car done and she sent me to Canton. She talked up the place, and I wasn't entirely sure since, it was just a car wash, right?! Wrong. This place blew every expectation I had for a car wash out of the water. Their level of detail was outstanding paralleled only to their customer service. Got a latte (yum!) in their waiting room while I waited and the employees looked and spoke to me like I was an actual person and not a number and a dollar sign. Will absolutely be returning and telling anyone who asks to get their car done here. read more

Being a habitual procrastinator, I showed up a few hours before closing time looking to have my whole interior shampooed and cleaned, not knowing how long it was actually supposed to take. The two places I previously went to, turned me down. But your awesome employee Ian managed to squeeze me in and help me out with amazing courtesy and professionalism! You see, my sunroof broke without me knowing and it rained horribly, causing my truck to flood. Once I scooped out the water and dried it out, my floors were filthy, moldy and left a horrible smell. My poor white car was pretty much caked with tree sap that didn't come off in a regular gas station car wash so I made an appointment here for a full exterior and interior detail. I dropped my car off, expecting a phone call later about extra charges because it was especially dirty but that didn't happen. I like the fact that they use "green" products and a buffer with clay compound which really gets all the set-in bugs and street grime off. Needless to say my car looked absolutely fabulous and 3 days later it's still sparkling! It even smells like a brand new car. The staff is friendly, thorough and knowledgeable. This place is a total rip off sorry I went there. I got the full service as my SUV needed it. First I went to pay and was charged an additional $3 for a SUV if it was posted I missed it. Well The following was not done Windshield was dirty still in and out Dash was not cleaned Side mirrors still dirty Did not vacuum front drivers or passenger sides. Placed WET plastic floor liners over my carpet. I was really pissed and just left and drove home and cleaned what they missed. It seems like all they want to do is get you in and out as quick as possible with no pride about the work they do that you pay for. I will NEVER nor recommended this place to anyone read more
