Brian double checked what we wanted before servicing our car. We are preparing to move overseas and needed the vehicle processing center to take our car (heard they were strict) and they said it was perfect. The Q-tip clean did the trick and we also asked him to give it once over to remove our dog's fine, short hair. Just got my 2025 Mazda CX-5 back from The Wax Shop. I put it in for a wash, ceramic wax and fix long scratch on drivers door. OMG! It is absolutely gorgeous...and scratch is 100% gone. BAM!!! Literally that's what you're going to yell when you pick up your ride! When I dropped off my '15 Explorer it looked 15 yrs old! When I say it looked showroom ready when I picked it up is only a testament to whatever voodoo magic they performed between the time I dropped it off until the time I picked it up!! I'm gonna apologize for two things: (1) I didn't snap any before pics so y'all could see this mess. But I have kids - with an s - who believe leftovers from McDonalds belong in the truck! Hubby and I live in a condo and our covenants state we cannot do any sort of car work or cleaning on the property. Naturally we knew that going in when buying it. We take the cars to a local car wash, but it was time for a through cleaning and wax and we really were not interested in trying to find some place to do the work ourselves and then a shady spot to wax the cars. I started hunting places to do the work. I had a few referrals from friends, however the one came with a HUGE cost. We own a Miata.....not a terribly large car. It was then I started checking ratings and reviews different places around town. I came across The Wax Shop several places on the internet to include Yelp and their website. I reached out to them via the Yelp message and was pretty much answered instantaneously. Many websites that I go to have some outdated information. I was told that everything on the website was up to date. My husband was looking for the car to get clay bar treatment (which it did need) and we were given some information....joy! Everything on the site was accurate! I asked if my husband could stop in to get some additional information and to make an appointment. We were set up with an 8AM appointment. Took the car in and were called about 2PM to pick it up! It looks showroom new! Best it has looked in some time! All crevices were cleaned, seats were done, door jams, windows, mirrors and beading water on the body of our vehicle as Maryland seems to be seeing some water from the skies a lot lately!! Having medical problems with hands/shoulder/back, ect, it's hard to detail my own truck. I'm so happy I found "The Wax Shop". They're freaking amazing. My truck has never looked this good. It didn't look this awesome when I first bought it. Being a disabled vet, this truck was a gift to myself and my beautiful wife. I never thought I would ever own something like this in my life. When I bought it,I almost cried lol because of how much it was lol and how beautiful it was. I almost dropped a tear agin when I can to pick up my truck. It was sooo beautiful, and I just couldn't believe how amazing it turned out. I was also extremely amazed at the price they charge. I've never seen or heard of any high-end detail shop charge the prices they do. I was blown away at how reasonable they're. I will definitely only take my truck to " The Wax Shop" from now on. I had my 2015 Ford escape detailed by the wax shop a week ago Friday. To say I am amazed at how wonderful it looks is an understatement. I am so impressed with the wax shop! A few years ago someone threw up in my brand new car and Brian (the owner i believe) helped me out and cleaned my carpets thoroughly and got it all out with no smell left behind. I called him last year when i spilled milk and he gave me some advice on how to try and clean it. This past weekend i decided to schedule a full car detail and my car came out brand new - i swear it looks cleaner than when i first purchased it. I will be getting it detailed by the wax shop every 6 months now - great prices and even better service. They even got most of the dried up baking soda out from my milk incident that i thought would be in the car forever. Super impressed! Only thing i would say calling and getting a hold of an appointment was hard, i had to call multiple times and ended up leaving voicemail. read more

I'm only giving 4 stars instead of 5 because the woman who rang me up didn't wear a mask, and in these times that's plain irresponsible. However based on value and quality of the service performed I give them an 11 out of 10. The interior of my 4 1/2 year old SUV, which gets used hard and was filthy looked new. Literally showroom new. And the outside looked good too even though I didn't opt for any paint restoration type services. I will be a repeat customer. read more

First time going to the Wax Shop. I called to make a reservation and the young lady on the phone was very pleasant and full of information . We took out minivan in for a full detail. ..a 9 year old minivan for a full detail. Anyone who owned a minivan can appreciate the abuse these things got thru...well...ours was even more special as we have a dog that loves to play in the dirt. So between the mass quantities of food and toys all over the car..add some dirt and dog dander....needless to say..the minivan was a mess....The crew at Wax Shop brought the old girl back to her original beauty. I joked with my family and said " they were going to pimp my ride"..well...they did! Inside and outside were done to perfection. I was even a little anal with a mark on my hood and this super nice guy came out and put extra compound on it and shunned it up nice nice. Will definitely use these guys again. Highly recommend ...even for a minivan...next time I may take my 11 year old Camry with 205K on it and see what they can do....I know they will make my little sh@t box shine like new. I have been taking my Ford F-150 Limited Edition and Nissan Rouge SL to the way shop for about two years now. Both of the vehicles are full of leather which is hard to clean, but not for the Wax Shop. Every time I pick the vehicles up they are better than show room quality. Their pricing is very reasonable. Their service is absolutely amazing. From the time I call to make the appointments, to the time I drop the vehicles off, to the time I pick them up, the customer service is top-notch. Great detail shop tucked away just outside Baltimore! I just had my car shipped from Hawaii to MD and drove by to get the shipping residue removed and the car all waxed up. This business is very thorough and the price is very fair for the quality of work done. Normally I wax my own car, and these guys did just as good as I did which is a huge compliment! Hate writing bad reviews. But never felt so awful getting off the phone with which I believe was the owner. Me and my boyfriend have been coming there for 1 year now, and first off they had great prices for car detailing in the area but after our first cleaning they up there prices which was disappointing but we liked how convenient there location was so we continue to go there despite there increase prices. Not mention there detailing wasn't as detail I believe because they started getting for costumers since they book up 1 month out now. But to get the the bottom of this I'm only writing this because the way the owner spoke to me on the phone. Which is as rude and unprofessional!! I called to find out when my appointment was because I did not receive any sort of reminder and the owner answered rudely and said it was today at 8 am and said I remember you you missed appointment last time and said why don't I go somewhere else very rudely. Which made me feel awful because I been coming there for awhile and I never received a reminder. Instead of saying good morning I'm so sorry you missed too many appointments we can't see you anymore or warn you, it was a disgusting way to talk to a customer that typically brings two vehicles. DONT GO HERE!!!!it all changed since they started to get more business- they up there prices, don't clean vehicles as they should be, long wait to get in schedule, and most importantly the owner is unprofessional!!!! read more

After reading the reviews for the Wax Shop, I drove to Glen Burnie and left my car for the day. I went back seven hours later to pick it up and spent 10 minutes pointing out all the spots they missed while two guys cleaned until one got bored and went on to something else. They entirely missed the wheels. It is difficult to believe that with a wash and wax and wipe down that the same six exterior spots went untouched. But the worst part was the globs of interior leather spray that I suppose the workers thought would eventually "soak in" and spread out on its own. Besides being soaking wet and slippery initially, the wet spots eventually became dry spots despite my own efforts at home to absorb and spread the excess. To me, the Wax Shop performed no better than an upgraded interior and exterior package at the regular car wash. But for $100 more. read more
