I have been going to this place for over 10 years and it's even better than before! The sauces and spices are authentic with no MSG. We have ordered Chinese food from several places, and no-one does the Moo Shoo like Canton City. You can taste the cinnamon (?), and other spices, yet not overpowering. I am a fan of this Chinese place. I get take-out from this place occasionally and usually that's lunch. For lunch, I found that you can order a lot of their combos with just 5.00 or 6.00. I know that a lot of Chinese places do the same thing but this one has pretty good quality than you would actually think based on the outside appearance. Try the General Tso's Chicken. WHAT A RECIPE THAT IS! Sweet, spicy, crispy, juicy, tasty, etc etc. Not the greatest looking take-out place with 3 tables and a soda chiller, but when they cook you your General Tso's Chicken you'll be satisfied. Fried rice and chow mein is not the best however but I enjoy their poultry. There is a $10 minimum for plastic cards so beware! I wasn't happy with this one. This is my go to place for Chinese food in town & I always get it delivered to my moms house. BUT, I recently called to order for delivery and they said ok, as always. As I was giving them my info they asked if it's a house or apartment and I said, apartment. After that the women then said oh yeah we don't deliver. I went on to say that I've been ordering from them for a very long tine and they always deliver. She then confirmed if it was an apartment or a house and I said apartment. She sounded a little hesitant and then was taking to someone else who worked there then said yeah we don't deliver and hung up. We recently moved to Antioch and I was excited when I found out there was a Chinese delivery. After checking Yelp, I was more excited because of the generally positive reviews (despite the few number of reviews). I'm hoping I just had a bad experience. With all of that said, this was by far the worst Chinese food I've ever had. The egg rolls and crab puffs were doughy and substantially undercooked. The mu shu pork tasted like it was made with day (or more) old ingredients and tasted very acidic. On top of that, they didn't include the hoisin sauce or the pancakes. The pot stickers were just horrible. They used twice as much batter as I've ever seen and again undercooked it. Even my son and my human garbage disposal of a toddler daughter wouldn't eat any of it. Literally the only thing that was even decent was the steamed rice. That is a pretty sad statement but true. My better half will likely never eat here again. I may try it once more for lunch just to make sure because of the previous reviews but I'm leery. Overall, this was just bad and I'd rather eat at Panda Express. read more

we ordered from here for the first time ever and had it delivered (big plus!) if you order more than 20 bucks worth, you get free egg rolls and over 35 they also give you a free two liter. we have never ate here before but we got a menu placed on our apt door in the past week so we figured we'd give it a try via delivery. the prices are great (5 bucks for a chinese take out style box packed with chicken fried rice, 6.25 for an entree of orange chicken and/or kung pao chicken). we ordered more than we could eat but we'll eat it through out the week. the food was good too; full of flavor, fresh meat, hot (not warm) upon arrival and a very authentic feel. There's a very accommodating and hard-working young cook in the kitchen who will cook especially for you. Do you have a favorite dish that's not on the menu? For instance, "Beef Chow Fun"? Ask for it. They may be able to make it for you. You probably could get "Peking Duck" if you gave them an advance order. Their prices are ridiculously low! Become a regular customer and at least round your bill UP to the next dollar - you'll be surprised to see how huge the portions become. But most important, treat these people well. It's not a sit down or fancy restaurant, it's pretty much a to go place. However, it is relatively cheap for what you get. A few friends recommended this place so we thought we would try it. It was fresh and fast but most of the food just had no flavor. We ordered pot stickers, mongolian beef, sesame chicken, walnut prawns, and spicy tofu. My husband really liked the prawns and the potstickers were okay too even though they were not fried - they appeared to just be steamed. But the rest of the food just lacked flavor. This place is not a 'dine in' facility, more of a 'carry out' or delivery, very reminiscent of a Chinatown San Francisco hole in the wall with super friendly service and very tasty food from an incredibly large menu, oh, did I forget to mention the fantastic lunch specials for $5.45? I've ordered from here several times. All have been delivery and I must admit, it is great food for delivery and how quick they get it to you. They are very friendly and they even remember me when I call (not by face, by order and voice). The delivery man is friendly and remembers me as well. They even gave me a Chinese 2015 calander and sometimes gives us free egg rolls. I recommend this place to anyone who is sick of fast food/pizza delivery. It's a change of delivery food and tastes good, still hot/warm when delivered. The fact that people base their reviews over not understanding phone orders is ridiculous. I'm very disappointed I always order from Canton City in (Antioch Ca.)but tonight I really don't know what went wrong.I ordered around 8pm kind of late but the family wanted Chinese it arrived about 45mins later,I was pleased with the quickness of my order.But to my surprise the fried rice smelled awful, the chow mein tasted kindly odd old or something. Of course I immediately called the restaurant it was now after closing time but someone picked up but this guy couldn't understand a thing I was saying.I'm so upset I paid$32.50 for a meal me and my family couldn't eat because the foul smell,(from the smell of the food we might end up sick).I so hope they don't give me a hard time I do plan on going to their place of business as soon as they open tomorrow with all the un eaten food read more

DON'T DO IT. I used to LOVE this place. Cheap, greasy Chinese was my guiltiest of guilty pleasures. That all changed today. I got my usual $7 combo, took some chow mein, and went to take a second bite (that's right, I had already eaten a piece) I saw what I thought was a pepper with a hair in it. Mind you, I was just going to remove it and continue on without a fuss, as hole-in-the-wall etiquette implies. Upon grabbing what i thought was hair(s), I came across an antenna. That's right, AN ENTIRE PINCHER BUG. So, naturally, I walked back down, I'm only a few doors down, and demanded a refund. The girl behind the counter gave me an indifferent look and offered a replacement. Oh, no no no. REFUND. She just shrugged and gave me my $7 back. No apology, no feigned surprise, NO MANAGER; just a familiar look, and $7. I don't even want to think about how many times she's gotten that complaint. Worse, I don't want to think about how many times I've eaten their food, and been too distracted to look at what I was eating. That place is a health inspector's nightmare. The door is always open, they have two aquariums, one BEHIND the counter, a shabby curtain separating the front of house from the kitchen, and today, they were burning incense. EW. JUST EW. I'm gagging even as I right this. I'm enclosing a picture, note the chow mein noodle in the corner, for authenticity. I used to love this place, but guys, it's by worth it. OK, well I've read all the posts regarding this place. I received one of their fliers last week and before trying them out, I came here to Yelp to check them out. I found a lot of mixed, and in some cases, obviously mean spirited reviews. There were also some positive reviews as well. Since I like to believe my own opinions in cases like this, I ordered from them yesterday for a delivery. I went simple. I got the "Dinner for Two" and asked if they would sub BBQ Pork Chow Mein for the Chicken Chow Mein that is normally on that order. They had no problem with that request at all. The people on the phone were very pleasant, but as some other reviews noted, their English is very broken. That made the order process just a bit tougher, but they still understood my requests, so that was moot. I was told the order would arrive in 30 to 45 minutes. Since I live close to Bay Point, I figured on the latter, but low and behold, my meal arrived in just under 30 minutes! The food was very hot and fresh. While this was not the complete quality of Wong's on Lone tree Way, the food quality was still very good. The only complaint (and it's minimal) was that their Fried Won Ton was fried a bit too long as was extremely hard and crunchy. All else was quite good. My girlfriend is like me and very picky about her food and she liked this as well. I will be ordering from them again. Between the fast and hot delivery and the generally good quality of the food, they are indeed worthy of my repeat business. Again, I would prefer Wong's, but they don't deliver and to pick up from them is a 24 mile round trip for me, so Canton City is my better bet on a lazy evening. I say, forget the reviews. Even mine. Give them a try and judge for yourself. If you are as picky as me, you will likely approve of this food as well. read more

Went there tonight on a recommendation & although I ordered & gave my credit card, the rat (yes I said RAT) jumping across the counter made me run out the door! DISGUSTING!!!! I ran to my car to get the hell out of there & called them to make sure they didn't charge my card since I wasn't going to eat anything from there.
