After stopping off at Starbucks, we decided to eat at China Garden, Chinese food. We walked in most of the seats were taken. The ambiance is casual yet inviting. They greeted us right away and sat us down. Everyone was so friendly and attentive. I ordered the salt and pepper prawns with fried rice and my husband ordered Chongching Style Spicy Chicken w/steamed rice. OK so this is really good Chinese food. My dish was so yummy. It was cooked to perfection. The batter was light and fluffy but crispy and the fried rice had so much flavor in it. It was delicious, absolutely delicious. This was some of the worst Chinese I had in long time!! Got hunan beef because it had what looked like bell peppers or some vegetables it had none and it tasted too sweet but was edible. Salt and pepper fish which is something we get all the time was bland with no salt and pepper taste whatsoever!! Big disappointment!! Lastly we got some edible but the noodles were a little water soggy! I had intended to go to another restaurant and ordered then saw couldn't pick up for like hour and husband was already on way so I went to this one inputted same order and it cost 10$ more here so I wish I would have waited the extra 45 mins won't do that again!! read more

After my shift in the morning, I was craving Chinese for lunch. Around the beautiful area of Brentwood, I spotted this Chinese location. Alongside my friend, we have it a shot and tried it out. Off the bat, the cleanliness of the location is great. The waitress recommended potstickers, chow mein and the broccoli beef. The spot isn't very big, but I could tell it was very transited, with some regulars saying Hi. A short wait later, out food arrived. The food portions were good, the food was hot and it was presentable. The potstickers surprised us with the portion. They were big potstickers. Nothing crazy, but just what we needed. Updated 9/10/21 I ordered the same dishes in the restaurant as I did previously minus the won ton. The prawns with string Beans and pan fried tomato beef chow mein were consistent. So the rating of those items tending the same. The beef chow fun was actually not as tasty as when I first ordered. The beef chow Fun lacked taste... it was a little bland. It was still ok, but needed some soy sauce to give it taste. That being said, I will still come here and try other selections and I update my review. read more

First time trying this restaurant. I ordered lemon chicken with combo fried rice. I thought I was going to enjoy the lemon chicken- the breading was not over done and it was great, however the chicken on the inside was so overcooked it was stringy. We absolutely love the food here, the quality of the food, the friendliness of the staff, and that it's the only Szechuan food for miles and miles. But first let me address: we paused eating here for awhile after seeing the Yelp reviews, and health score from 2018, but our desire for Szechuan became too great. It looked like they had new management, and we've eaten here at least 10 times and never had any experience like the ones mentioned in reviews. The food is always piping hot, very fresh, and never suspect. And frankly it's the best American Chinese and Szechuan food. It's so good! They have twice cooked pork, cumin lamb, mapo tofu and other Szechuan favorites. Order food for takeout on 12/25/19. So grateful this place was open. Family came over and I didn't expect them to come because we are having our Christmas dinner 12/28. It was pleasantly good. Chicken chow mein is my favorite even though I'm not aloud to have pasta due to a stomach issue, I will always cave for chow mein. This was a the name of a restaurant that's was in Brentwood for a long time. I thought it named to this new location, but never tried it here till last Wednesday when my friend Tom and I thought we'd give it try. We found the food to be good. The portions large and the service very quick. While we were there we experienced quite a few take out orders being picked up.
