Came here for lunch with a friend and had their lunch special of Kung Pao chicken and fried rice. The place was clean. The workers were friendly. The food was delicious and freshly made. Will def be back to try out more dishes!

Well it was good. Really wanted to have a combo dinner for one. However like the Siemfeld episode the "owner" said No. No tofu ang eggplant. No rice plate. so I did the eggplant chicken fish with side of rice. I'll say the entrees i saw served while waiting looked excellent. This was very good. Good flavor. Fresh. Tofu perfect. chicken good. Salted fish..interesting. Got two fortune cookies and chop sticks. If someone asks for dinner for 1 to go accommodate. I'd say 4 star. 5 if they were flexible.

Generous heaping of noodles with light and flavorful curry (not overly greasy like their chow mein). The eggs rolls have always been my favorite thing here, though. They capture a flavor that takes me back to my time in China.

After stopping off at Starbucks, we decided to eat at China Garden, Chinese food. We walked in most of the seats were taken. The ambiance is casual yet inviting. They greeted us right away and sat us down. Everyone was so friendly and attentive. I ordered the salt and pepper prawns with fried rice and my husband ordered Chongching Style Spicy Chicken w/steamed rice. OK so this is really good Chinese food. My dish was so yummy. It was cooked to perfection. The batter was light and fluffy but crispy and the fried rice had so much flavor in it. It was delicious, absolutely delicious. I will definitely be back and my husband loved his dish as well, while spicy but not too spicy l, crunchy but light! We're very impressed! Will definitely be back.

After my shift in the morning, I was craving Chinese for lunch. Around the beautiful area of Brentwood, I spotted this Chinese location. Alongside my friend, we have it a shot and tried it out. Off the bat, the cleanliness of the location is great. The waitress recommended potstickers, chow mein and the broccoli beef. The spot isn't very big, but I could tell it was very transited, with some regulars saying Hi. A short wait later, out food arrived. The food portions were good, the food was hot and it was presentable. The potstickers surprised us with the portion. They were big potstickers. Nothing crazy, but just what we needed. My main dish was chicken chow mein. I'm not really into veggies, but they complimented well with the chicken this time. I couldn't finish, so I took to go. A satisfactory visit

Updated 9/10/21 I ordered the same dishes in the restaurant as I did previously minus the won ton. The prawns with string Beans and pan fried tomato beef chow mein were consistent. So the rating of those items tending the same. The beef chow fun was actually not as tasty as when I first ordered. The beef chow Fun lacked taste... it was a little bland. It was still ok, but needed some soy sauce to give it taste. That being said, I will still come here and try other selections and I update my review.

Lemon Chicken with Combination Fried Rice

First time trying this restaurant. I ordered lemon chicken with combo fried rice. I thought I was going to enjoy the lemon chicken- the breading was not over done and it was great, however the chicken on the inside was so overcooked it was stringy. I couldn't even eat it was so chewy. Rice was good. Not sure if I would try again.

Unfortunately, my most recent experience completely changed my opinion. I ordered a roll for my daughter with no avocado and added cucumber. When we got home, the roll only had crab inside. There was no cucumber at all. I called and simply asked for a refund, but I was told the chef insisted the cucumber was in the roll, so they refused. Instead, they told me to drive back so they could remake it. After driving another 20 minutes back (40 minutes of driving total), the employee inspected the roll herself and immediately saw that there was, in fact, no cucumber. So the issue I reported from the beginning was real. What disappointed me most wasn't the mistake. Mistakes happen. It was being treated like my word wasn't trustworthy after years of supporting this business. Rather than believing a loyal customer or offering a simple refund, I had to waste my time and gas proving that the order was incorrect. It makes me wonder if one roll was really worth losing a long-time customer. Customer service is about how you handle mistakes, and unfortunately this experience left me feeling undervalued. I hope management reconsiders how situations like this are handled in the future.

I came here yesterday during opening and there was already a long line of people waiting for their orders. I think they can hire a few more people to speed things up in the back kitchen. I ordered their roast pork belly with rice which was really good. Expect that traditional 5-spice flavor that's mainly used in Chinese roast pork. They give a generous amount too which is nice. I also enjoyed the ginger sauce it came with. I thought this paired better than the black sweet sauce they provide. Typically I like my pork belly thoroughly cooked but this is a different style and I still enjoyed it. It's worth $15! I want to come back to try their duck next!

Reasonably price. Honestly, the pork belly is the star and could be the best I've had in a long time considering I still live and grew up in Oakland. At other chinese bbq spots the skin to me is usually very crunchy and chewy. But Roast Eatery pork belly skin is so light and crispy, that after a few bites the tender meat and fat slowly melts in your mouth making it very enjoyable. The sweet sauce with the pork belly is new to me. it's interesting but i prefer eating it with the ginger scallion because it helps cut the richness from the pork belly. The Haianese Chicken is exceptional. Cooked perfectly to tendernism. Anyone new to chinese bbq and wondering why the chopped chicken bone is still red or pink, that's called myoglobin so don't worry it's already cooked and means that it's perfectly gently poached. Of course, always take caution, ask questions and do a little research. If you're afraid, just eat around it, but this will probably be the best and healthiest way to eat chicken if you're on a diet. Roast Duck was flavorful, tender and nicely roasted. Definitely your go to local spot if you're in the East County (Oakley, Brentwood, or Antioch). It's also on par with local favorite spots in Oakland Chinatown like Gold Medal. Service is very straight forward and quick to order. The staff are friendly. Got our order in less than 10 minutes. Overall, I will be coming here more frequently for my chinese bbq fix and quick healthy lunch. They also own the dim sum bakery next door and it's definitely a hit too!

There's even thinly sliced red pork which adds some taste and texture to the soup. We thoroughly enjoyed their spicy Mongolian chow fun. This had some sweetness to it but also some heat which was just right. The beef was super tender! It melts in your mouth. My wife ordered the Sun Kitchen sushi special which was delicious and had big pieces. The quality of sushi here is great! My son enjoyed his bento box which consisted of teriyaki grilled chicken, salad with creamy sesame dressing and then large pieces of vegetable tempura. This is an excellent deal with a good amount of choices to choose from. Jeanette and Tony frequently stopped by to check on us and made sure our meals were good and our drinks were refilled. They are so accommodating and inviting. The music they were playing in the background was on point! They were playing smooth R&B in which me and my wife were dancing. There is a great selection of food, and everything was well organized and easy to navigate. The dessert section is pretty typical of most Chinese and Asian buffets, with the usual cakes, cookies, fruit, and pudding options. One area that could use improvement is the self-serve ice cream station. The flavors tend to mix together, and it doesn't look very appealing. A soft-serve machine would be a great addition and would really elevate the dessert experience. The staff working the dining area were attentive and did a good job clearing plates and checking on guests. The front staff, however, could be a bit more customer-service focused. They seemed very focused on moving the line and managing the crowd rather than creating a welcoming first impression. That said, we were seated fairly quickly, even during a busy time. The restaurant can get packed on weekends, so expect a crowd. We're glad to have a decent buffet option in the area. I've tried a few other items (don't know the name) was really good too. The attendants are efficient (not the friendliest, but I don't go here to make friends...lol). Overall a good experience and if you want to get a bang for your buck, this is the place for you. Weekday Price is $17.99/Person Weekend Price is $24.99/Person To go is by weight and differed during the weekend and weekend.
