I've been a loyal customer here for years, despite living about 20 minutes away. I've spent hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars ordering from this restaurant because the food has always been worth the drive. Unfortunately, my most recent experience completely changed my opinion. I ordered a roll for my daughter with no avocado and added cucumber. When we got home, the roll only had crab inside. There was no cucumber at all. I called and simply asked for a refund, but I was told the chef insisted the cucumber was in the roll, so they refused. Instead, they told me to drive back so they could remake it. After driving another 20 minutes back (40 minutes of driving total), the employee inspected the roll herself and immediately saw that there was, in fact, no cucumber. So the issue I reported from the beginning was real. What disappointed me most wasn't the mistake. Mistakes happen. It was being treated like my word wasn't trustworthy after years of supporting this business. Rather than believing a loyal customer or offering a simple refund, I had to waste my time and gas proving that the order was incorrect. It makes me wonder if one roll was really worth losing a long-time customer. Customer service is about how you handle mistakes, and unfortunately this experience left me feeling undervalued. Not happy at all! Ordered $150 worth of food. 3 rolls. Chicken Fried Rice, Chicken Chow Mein, Honey Walnut Prawns, and Sesame Chicken. All looked like they were in small containers. Not to mention asked for each roll to have Unagi sauce and for them not to forget on each roll when I ordered. Not only did they not put unagi sauce on my rolls that were suppose to have them. They gave us one little sauce. So they expect 3 people to share one little sauce and mix germs. On top of that they give 4 little measly fortune cookies. So I order basically 8 meals and they give us 4 cookies. THIS RESTAURANT IS BEYOND CHEAP AND HORRIBLE TO THERE CUSTOMERS THAT ACTUALLY KEEP THEM IN BUSINESS! WE WILL NEVER BE BACK! I know others love this place but we had a favorite place for Friday night Chinese food and it closed down. This does not mean this was our second choice, we just kept trying different dishes over the years and couldn't quite get the right dishes. I knew we wouldn't be able to replicate our favorite combo, but this is close! I think we have the right combo! The girl at the front desk was so helpful! Here goes: 1. Pineapple fried rice (dish that kept us coming back) 2. Salt & Pepper Shrimp (who knew it would be so hard to find batter fried shrimp!) 3. Szechuan beef (yay!) 4. Good veggie chow mein!!! 5. We typically have takeout from Enishi for Chinese and dine in when we go for sushi. However, we recently dined in twice for Chinese and both times were fantastic. The service is always great. The tables are fairly close together which can be a little awkward, but nothing terrible. Also interesting that they have 2 portable air conditioners running in the dining room during summer. The chicken chow fun was my favorite, followed closely by the green bean beef. My daughter loves the sesame chicken. It is sweet, but they do a good job of balancing the crispy/saucy texture. (That is another benefit of dining in) I'm glad they are usually busy, because it's hard to find good American-Chinese food in the area. We will definitely be back. read more

Swung by with the parents after an afternoon of cherry picking! Parking was pretty easy to find since the restaurant is located in a plaza. Got there a little before 4:30pm (wasn't really busy and not super loud) and were seated immediately. We were served with ice water, and the table was already set with forks and napkins. Took a while to decide what we wanted but didn't have to wait very long after ordering for the food to come out! - Wonton Soup - not sure why I was under the impression that it was going to be an individual serving, but they served it to us in the bigger soup bowls seen in Chinese restaurants and also ladeled the soup out for us! Super light and mild in flavor. Came with 8 wontons, some spinach, carrot slices, and slivers of pork. I really wanted something soupy, so this hit the spot, but nothing to write home about. Wontons were a bit small, though for less than $10, you really can't complain. - Mongolian Beef - definitely quite spicy (but also keep in mind my spice tolerance isn't the highest) and flavorful! Beef was pretty tender - Beef Chow Fun - also really solid option and flavorful as well! Honestly surprised by the the quality you're getting for the price, though the portion is definitely smaller than what you'd find for a higher price in the bay. Ended up placing another order of this to go, but the one we had for dine-in tasted a lot better Overall, we weren't really sure what to expect, but my Chinese parents and I were pretty impressed by the Mongolian Beef & Beef Chow Fun. We live quite a distance away, so don't see ourselves coming back, but if you're in the area and really craving some Beef Chow Fun, I think you should consider checking this place out ! read more

House chow fun was very tasty with a good amount of noodles. The pieces of beef and pork in it were a bit on the small side. The stir-fried green beans were so crispy with a light flavorful sauce. The yellow curry shrimp was not my favorite but had a generous amount of prawns. The place was extremely loud both due to patrons and the kitchen. Beeping timers were not turned off quickly. We went there for the first time to have lunch. We had a couple of Bento Boxes and beer. We both had the chicken katsu since they did not have any pork katsu as one of the two choices. I have been here several times with my parents. Every time has been a great visit with great service and delicious food. This time we started with Crab Rangoons and Enishi roll. I wanted to get my dad the Uni special but they were already sold out. For dinner to share, we ordered the Honey Walnut Prawns, Kung Pao Beef, Salt and Pepper Chicken, and BBQ Pork Fried Rice. I couldn't say the same for the salt and pepper chicken wings- there was way too much breading, and does not have taste of salt n pepper. I also ordered the treasure island roll, which was a tad disappointing, the poke in which I did not try was ok. Service was good. At one point I asked for something and the waitress was super cool. Another great meal from Enishi Kitchen. This review is strictly for the curly haired, young lady working the phones and managing the take-out counter. She's a rockstar and deserves a massive raise. I ordered via phone call and arrived to pick up my food. This place was slammed, and the front of the restaurant was very busy. This young lady was answering phone calls (2-at a time), hosting, grabbing orders from in back, taking customer walk-in orders, and still managing the line of people in front of her waiting to pick up their orders or waiting for a table. I placed an order for pickup, and when I arrived, they were clearly busy, which I understand. But after checking in at the front desk, I ended up waiting much longer than necessary--only to realize my food had been sitting there for about five minutes while staff rushed around. No one acknowledged me after the initial check-in, and I had to flag someone down to finally get my order. The food itself was fine, but the experience just felt disorganized. This used to be one of my favorite places. Not any more. The prices increase and quality goes down regularly. It has become very inconsistent and sometimes when I order the same item it's good other times it is not. They also take forever to make the food and if they say it's 30 min to be ready it is closer to 50. The final straw was me ordering an online order and asking to add baby corn to a dish and receiving a phone call from them saying they would be charging me $3 more for baby corn! Seriously thought about leaving, but we had reservations and it's difficult to get into a restaurant around here on a moment's notice. I'm a big fan of this place! My wife and I only have gotten take-out twice so I can't judge the experience inside the restaurant. We enjoyed their salt and pepper fried chicken wings!! This is delicious and reminds me of the same item from one of my favorite places back home. I love eating this with chili oil and plain white rice; you can't go wrong. We also tried their honey walnut prawns which were just ok. The breading was a bit too thick and wasn't crispy; they were actually soggy. The shrimp itself is good of course but everything else was just eh about it. It only had a few pecans which normally we love a decent amount on our honey walnut prawns. This is a hidden gem that I have found in Brentwood CA. One night I was desperately wanting to eat Sushi but my favorite Sushi master had retired from Kampala during Covid. So there really wasn't anywhere else that I would find great quality sushi locally. That is Until Enishi Kitchen. First nite I had spicy edamame, sashimi, a hand roll and SF Giant. OMG the flavor bomb that hit my palette when I ate the Spicy edamame and then forth. I have never been so happy and satisfied since my old sushi master at Kanpai (Brentwood). Poor customer service. I picked up a delivery for a client here Friday night. It was busy & the front desk hostess checked on the order that I was waiting on a few times. She kept informing me that the order was not ready. After waiting more than a normal time, I asked her if she can give me a time? She then told me that she did not see the order confirmation anywhere around, while still trying to have me just wait around and hope that the order came out. ( if I had not asked her, she would not have gave me that information ). The hostess went on to go talk to the Male owner in which she found out that a staff member confirmed the order as it came in, but did not put it in to be made for the client. Review is for the service not the food! Ordered a pretty large takeout order for my family tonight. This was our first time ordering from Enishi after hearing tons of great things about their food. Unfortunately the customer service was HORRIBLE from their manager JASON. We ordered from their online menu - 2 orders of CREAM CHEESE wontons -- get home and go to bite into one and notice that there is CRAB in them! I called the restaurant and informed a very nice girl about what happened. She genuinely was sorry for the mistake. Jason however argued with me and stated that "that's how their cream cheese wontons come, with imitation crab" I informed him that the online menu only states they contain cream cheese, I am VERY allergic to iodine (which imitation crab has in it). He was very rude and told me "that's your problem we didn't make a mistake" I informed him this was a huge mistake and HEALTH HAZARD. After multiple times of stating this could have resulted in a horrible situation he finally demanded the card number we used to pay for the meal to refund the money. Food itself that we could eat was very yummy. Service however will make us probably never return as customers. read more
