Fried rice combo

This is my go to for Chinese takeout order delivery or pick up. The food never disappoints and I'm always satisfied.

We just moved to Oakley and wanted to check for a simple Chinese food. We found this place through Yelp and decided to try it. This place is not that fancy and is just a small Chinese restaurant with only a few tables and chairs. I can describe this as a small hole in a wall Chinese restaurant. We ordered their lunch special of String beans with beef on a black bean sauce. The menu has chicken and I asked if I could replace the meat with beef. They obliged without any price change. The lunch plate is generous in size. They served a lot of beef and string beans. The beef is tender and juicy. And the string beans are not soggy but crispy. The service is also fast. Since this is the first time dining here, I have a first impression that the food is good. Even though the place is small and not elegant, the food is quite good. If I'm craving for a quick Chinese food, I will make sure I come visit this place again.

Dinner Special. Under $16. Good price!

Its a hit or miss. But I would over all recommend this place over most chinese food within a 15 mile Radius. Good portion. LESS GREASE than most places. I have 2 spots I like. This is one of them. If they offer a bottle water or even a can soda with dinner would be 5+ ($16 even with drink?) stars. But I give it a high 80s out of 100. I paid $15.21 take out. I proly eat at this place 4-5 times a year. Because I eat at another place too.

She is a key reason as to why we want to keep coming back; her attitude and enthusiasm is fantastic. Me and my family enjoyed our dinner and loved every dish we ordered. Their wonton soup is an excellent choice for a starter and can be shared up to at least 3 people. The wontons are fresh and tasty, the mushrooms are chunky and complement well with the bakchoy. There's even thinly sliced red pork which adds some taste and texture to the soup. We thoroughly enjoyed their spicy Mongolian chow fun. This had some sweetness to it but also some heat which was just right. The beef was super tender! It melts in your mouth. My wife ordered the Sun Kitchen sushi special which was delicious and had big pieces. The quality of sushi here is great! My son enjoyed his bento box which consisted of teriyaki grilled chicken, salad with creamy sesame dressing and then large pieces of vegetable tempura. This is an excellent deal with a good amount of choices to choose from. Jeanette and Tony frequently stopped by to check on us and made sure our meals were good and our drinks were refilled. They are so accommodating and inviting. The music they were playing in the background was on point! They were playing smooth R&B in which me and my wife were dancing. It's spacious inside the restaurant and can hold a good amount of guests. I will say, I wish the temperature was cooler inside; it was a bit warm but didn't really bother us. We can't wait to come back! We love this place!

Ordered a Beef teriyaki bento box but the meat looked like boiled meat. It was sad and gross looking. My daughter ordered the Salmon Teriyaki Bento box and she didn't touch the whole fish. Flavorless and No teriyaki sauce in sight! We brought the meat home to our dog, at least it didn't go to waist. We also ordered a Beef Chow Fun that was taken to another table and then the dish was sent back and guy walked over to place it on our table. I guess they don't care about cross contamination! I had to send it back. We ordered two beef Udon soups that never came. By then we just asked for our check. It took them a long time to bring us our check and also to ring us up. Sadly won't be returning. We should have just went with our original plan to dine at Misaka. Seems like this restaurant is ran by Chinese people and probably should just stick with Chinese food. Stop trying to serve two different food genres and then botch it!

The portions at dinner are huge and great if you have a big family. The lunch specials are a great value and they have a nice variety of lunch items to choose from. I like the Kung Pao Chicken and the fried rice. Very delicious! It would be so nice if they offered dinner specials for single diners. When I ordered dinner the other night it really was overpriced for one person. I didn't like the Mushu at all. Why did they add hoisin to the Mushu itself? ***Yuck!!!!***That's supposed to be a sweet condiment on the side of a savory dish and it wasn't at all yummy having it included inside. I wanted the usual contrasting flavors. Also; the Salt Pepper Tofu had a little too much baking soda in the crust and an off flavor, and I do rideshare, so the huge portions are wasted on me because taking food to go isn't even an option for me. I am giving 4 stars, because I had a 5 star exleriences and 3 star experiences here. They really need to offer plates to single diners at night instead of trying to make us purchase more food than we need, which is particularly disappointing when food quality isn't there. Uncle Wangs is my go-to restaurant when I am in Pittsburgh! Most of their food is top-notch and they have good service. They should also really consider turning down the volume of the to-go order bell. I will return to this restaurant at lunchtime to order something other than what I made the mistake of ordering the last time. They have lovely service, which makes up for the cook last time.

Don't let the quiet parking lot fool you--this place is a hidden gem!…read more I've driven past Lone Tree Fine Chinese Cuisine for years and always hesitated to try it because the parking lot usually only has a car or two. I honestly questioned if it was even open or if the food wasn't great. Well, last night I didn't feel like cooking and finally decided to order online. We ordered a big spread: salt and pepper spare ribs, chicken chow mein, chicken with veggies, beef chow fun, and lemon chicken. We have had our fair share of Chinese food, and I can honestly say this place is very good! Everything tasted fresh and delicious. My only small critique is that the portion size for the salt and pepper pork was a little lacking, but the flavor made up for it. I'm so glad I finally gave them a chance and I will definitely be a returning customer!

Honestly, the pork belly is the star and could be the best I've had in a long time considering I still live and grew up in Oakland. At other chinese bbq spots the skin to me is usually very crunchy and chewy. But Roast Eatery pork belly skin is so light and crispy, that after a few bites the tender meat and fat slowly melts in your mouth making it very enjoyable. The sweet sauce with the pork belly is new to me. it's interesting but i prefer eating it with the ginger scallion because it helps cut the richness from the pork belly. The Haianese Chicken is exceptional. Cooked perfectly to tendernism. Anyone new to chinese bbq and wondering why the chopped chicken bone is still red or pink, that's called myoglobin so don't worry it's already cooked and means that it's perfectly gently poached. Of course, always take caution, ask questions and do a little research. If you're afraid, just eat around it, but this will probably be the best and healthiest way to eat chicken if you're on a diet. Roast Duck was flavorful, tender and nicely roasted. Definitely your go to local spot if you're in the East County (Oakley, Brentwood, or Antioch). It's also on par with local favorite spots in Oakland Chinatown like Gold Medal. Service is very straight forward and quick to order. The staff are friendly. Got our order in less than 10 minutes. Overall, I will be coming here more frequently for my chinese bbq fix and quick healthy lunch. They also own the dim sum bakery next door and it's definitely a hit too!

I came here yesterday during opening and there was already a long line of people waiting for their orders. I think they can hire a few more people to speed things up in the back kitchen. I ordered their roast pork belly with rice which was really good. Expect that traditional 5-spice flavor that's mainly used in Chinese roast pork. They give a generous amount too which is nice. I also enjoyed the ginger sauce it came with. I thought this paired better than the black sweet sauce they provide. Typically I like my pork belly thoroughly cooked but this is a different style and I still enjoyed it. It's worth $15! I want to come back to try their duck next!
