My experience has ranged from a single guy with ropes and a chainsaw, to a dozen men with heavy equipment deployed by a general-like figure barking orders and managing the job. The one redeeming part of my experience with The Lumberjacks was that they were able to get my large dead tree removed relatively quickly in the midst of a global pandemic. Originally it was going to take several weeks for them to arrive. But when I asked if there was any way to expedite the process, I was told "yes" if I was willing to pay a rush charge of $50. On a job that was going to cost over a grand, that was the bargain of the decade. The Lumberjacks brought a three person crew along with a lift that looked a little bit like a tank. We walked around the property to talk about other work I wanted done beyond the tree removal, and was quoted a price on the spot. I agreed, and the crew spent the rest of the day cutting wood. After they were done, I asked to be walked around to inspect the work. What I didn't see at the time was the damage that was caused to my property. I spoke to someone at my insurance company. They told me to call the tree trimmers. After calling The Lumberjacks to discuss the matter, I was unceremoniously directed to some fine print on the bottom of the estimate that said the company was not responsible for damages, or some such. Well, that just sucks. Now, by solving the problem of the dead tree, I have another problem to solve. And we're still in the midst of a global pandemic, which just makes everything harder. This was not the kind of experience that would encourage me to call The Lumberjacks again if I need additional tree work, nor would it give me the confidence to recommend them to others. I'm sure they work on lots of houses without doing damage. I'm sure mine was a rare fluke. And ultimately, it's less about the damage itself than it was about how this unfortunate situation was handled.

My next door neighbor change her fence and the workers doing the job turn a brick by the fence on one my sprinkler head; which caused it to be leaking. My neighbor said she my appointment with them to come and fix this sprinkler head last week Wednesday. On this day I called their office to check around what time the guy will show up. They told me it will be between 10:00AM and 1:pm. I don't see them,then I called back around 2:15Pm.The lady said their guy (Marty) came to my neighbors house around 10:00AM to work on their sprinkler. I have been waiting all day for this guy to show up and he came to my next door neighbor's house and went away without ringing my bell. Finally they sent him back about 3:15Pm. This guy showed up as if he was on something. He doesn't even have the patience to look at the problem with the sprinkler head that was damaged. He started talking to me rudely as if he is the one feeding and paying my bills. I wrote an email to their office about this incident and made them realize that I will never use them for Sprinkler service any longer. They have been turning on and shutting off my sprinkler system for over three years; but I don't understand that they can't actually fix the system if it has any problem; and all they will do is come to your house and be rude to you. I called another company the following morning and they came Friday around 3;30pm to change the sprinkler head that was damaged. This company even gave me a call when they were running late. Bottom line, don't waste your time and money doing business with this company that will come to your house and be rude to you without even knowing what they are doing.

They were very reasonably priced and delivered the best compost blend I have found in the area--litter free and beautifully loamy! We got 5 yards and had it delivered to the house. Delivery guy was a peach and was VERY patient working around our power lines and tiny city driveway with his truck. If you need soil or compost, I would definitely recommend giving them a call! Clearly our plants are LOVING the soil/compost. FYI--any litter you see on top of the soil in the photos is from our trees, not the soil.

I compared prices for Lucas's, Plymouth Nursery and another place and Tilt's prices were much lower for the same product! Lowest delivery charge for the others was $30 and they couldn't do multiple products/loads. Tilt delivered all three in separate loads for no charge. So this was a great deal. The gentleman that work at the store are very professional and knowledgeable. It's located right off of I 75 on Huron River Drive so it's very easy to get to! Everything is well organized and easy to shop. The organic line of fertilizer is awesome. They also carry the urban cloth/fiber pots for patio gardening.
