I have been to the newhall location exploring cycling gear and e-bikes. That location has closed a while back and have been recently coming to this location, although far to see what cycling things they have there. There are nice bibs, jerseys and cycling bikes although some of them are high in price. The bikes can range from $1000 - $10,000 and even a few above $10,000 for premium features. The helmets there are higher quality but higher cost as well, the one I purchased is the FOX helmet speedframe pro. Although the helmet is pricey for what it is, its design is stellar. It costed more than a regular mibs helmet you would otherwise find online, but the features and design are what I was looking for. I have three bikes of which one of them is $10,000. The one is a Porsche bike with high quality materials. The other bike is a cannondale with drop bars used primarily for marathons and events which was $6000 at the time and lastly, a mountain bike with bullhorns which was the cheapest at about $2000. Two of my bikes are really old and needs maintenance. The maintenance would have to be done here eventually. Service was okay, some of the employees are friendly and easy to talk with, but others had average to below average personality traits that were underwhelming to face as a customer. The interior was clean and a variety of high quality bikes were inside although they had an enormous collection of mountain, road and gravel bikes over the e-bikes. Even so, their trek collection ranges from $3000 to $10000 for higher end models for basic non e-bikes. They had a glove section that had a variety of high end gloves for motorcyclists and cyclists. A bit overpriced for some of them but high quality ones with good designs. The jerseys offered were short sleeved ones which is not my style. I like long sleeved ones and their bibs also were short, none long sleeved. It would be nice to have long sleeved and long bibs as well. Maybe I didn't see it all but from when I was there they had raphe short sleeved. The brand is great just the selection and sizes was limited. The designs were also limited to a few colors. Accessories were abundant such as nightlights for front and back attachments and water bottles with gels for marathons. I would recommend coming if you love cycling or want to cycle competitively although expect to pay a premium for a good bike. I might purchase a new bike here eventually but I need to do more research specifically on the ones with little to no maintenance as it can be an issue over time. Ok I'll try to keep this short. First and foremost, the employees here, while very well versed in their craft and beloved hobby, DO NOT come off as snobby or elitist at all. They are welcoming, discerning, and helpful. I brought a bike in that needed a whole bunch of work. The work order was above my budget, and Oliver worked with me to whittle it down to something I could do, and at no point during our conversation did he make me feel uncomfortable about it. But especially today, I had to get this down and leave a review. It is my 5 year old's birthday and the guys at Trek had assembled a mountain bike for him. When I showed up today to pick it up, there was a sign in the door saying: "Power is out, closed until further notice" So of course I'm alarmed, thinking shoot my kids bike is in there and he's not gonna get this birthday present. I knock on the door, and after a while they open it. I explain the situation, and they tell me, "we're gonna make this work". Despite all computers and records being down, they sifted through paperwork and receipts to make sure I could bring the birthday bike home, despite being closed with a power outage. These guys love what they do, and it shows. If you're still reading this, and you're a cyclist in Santa Clarita, give them your business. Trek is an international name, but the employees here make it feel like a mom and pop shop that truly cares about their customers, and seeing them happy. A friend of mine took his bike for service after an unusual clinking and grinding noise while he pedals his bike.. the shop said (WITHOUT MAKING A THOROUGH DIAGNOSIS) that the issue was a bad bottom bracket! After we demanded to remove the bottom bracket and inspect it, the shop said that THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE BOTTOM BRACKET!! WITHOUT MAKING A THOROUGH INSPECTION AGAIN, the shop said: THE ISSUE ARE THE WORN OUT CHAIN RINGS!! FYI: THE TREK BIKE WITH ULTEGRA COMPONENTS IS ALMOST BRAND NEW WITH LESS THAN 200 MILES ON IT!! We took the bike off the shop and saved my friend a potential $350 +++ and a ton of stupidity !! Any bike guy will agree to this! The issue?? The chain is misaligned and it is a little bit off the pulley and the chain rings!! We just did a little adjustment & the bike is running smoothly.. I am concerned about this type of business practice in SCV! Just because most of us dont understand a lot about bikes that we tend to get ripped off by so called bike mechanics? read more

New cyclist, and my journey began about 3 months ago. Decided to visit Trek Santa Clarita one day, maybe hoping to pick up a simple road bike. I met Alrick, the manager and he immediately went out of his way to help me and answer all questions. He even helped me get fitted and found out the right sizes of bikes. I decided on a Trek FX, and even bought one for my daughter. During the next 12 weeks, I would buy 3-4 different bikes from this shop because I kept changing my mind and wanting to upgrade. Alrick and his ENTIRE team went out of their way to help and to ensure I was on the perfect bike that suited all my needs. Their 30-day love it or return it policy is amazing. They stand by it! I finally settled on a Trek Domane SLR 6 Gen 4. But 2 rides in, I noticed there was a problem with the Isospeed on it. So I called Alrick and he took care of everything. Unfortunately, he had to warranty the frame, which enabled me to go with another bike, the new Gen 8 Trek Madone. I waited almost a month for it to arrive but it finally arrived today and it was well worth the wait. Alrick was awesome in communication, answering all emails, and going out of his way to set up test rides on almost every single bike in the store. He even made sure his new associate Stephanie took care of me. His ENTIRE team was amazing. Humberto, Oliver, Omar, and all his service engineers treated me with the greatest respect. Totally down to earth and genuine in every interaction. They even honored my veteran status by giving me a military discount on the bike and parts. This was one of the best big ticket purchase experiences of my life. One star review for Oliver the service manager, he did a great job trying to help me out by offering me a new bike or frame at cost after my warranty claim was denied. However, he made comments implying I was responsible for the chain stay cracking, and "tick tock" when I asked for more time to think about purchasing a frame at a discounted price because it was a lot of money and I also need to save for another unexpected expense. I asked for my bike back so that I can take it to another dealer and have the components moved over to another frame, and he said if I took my frame back he wouldn't be able to help me anymore. The TL:DR is that everyone at this store will do everything they can to ensure you're a happy customer! Back in October of 2020 I bought a not-so-new 2019 model road bike from the Newhall store as I was just getting into road cycling. Patrick helped me out with the purchase and was very friendly and knowledgeable. He transferred the bike over to the Saugus store to be looked over and 'cleaned up' to make sure it was in good shape. Mind you, the bike came with a full warranty despite it being 'not-so-new'. First off, I was very happy with the bike. I handled great and was just what I was looking for. I rode it avidly for about a month and was having problems with the seat not staying in place. It would tilt forward a bit on its own. I took it in to the store and they fixed it on site. Again, everyone was friendly and always eager to help. A couple of months after that when it came time to adjust my saddle height, I noticed something odd about the coating on the carbon fiber seat stay under the part where the seat post was sitting. The coating was flaking off and was uneven. So I took the bike back to the store and shared what was going on with Patrick who in turn shared it with the manager who in turn shared with HQ. The decision was made to replace the frame out of an abundance of caution as it appeared that the carbon seat stay had some kind of defect. Again, the folks at the store and Trek came through to make sure everything was being addressed as it should. So the new frame (now a 2021 model, thank you Trek) comes in and I drop off my bike to have all components moved over. I get a call that the bike is ready for pickup. Upon inspection of the new frame I noticed a fairly large and prominent scratch on the top tubes shiny new clear coat. Naturally, I was disappointed to see that. I pointed it out and the folks at the store were also a bit surprised since no one had noticed it. I decided to leave the bike there and not take possession so they could let me know what was going to be done about it. The new manager Alasdair reached out to me to let me know that they were going to search for a local paint shop that could take care of the scratch, but that I could pick up the bike and ride it until everything is lined up. About a week later, I brought my bike in and in two days (to my surprise frankly), it's ready. I go to pick it up, and it's as if nothing had happened. The scratch is gone and yours truly is a very happy camper. Not only that, they also fixed an issue with the front brake adjustment and front derailleur assembly. All in all, despite the frustrations of dealing with these issues, I am very pleased and impressed by the team at this store. Problems are going to happen and the true testament to good service is how you react and how you take care of your customers. I know I can count on Patrick, Jesse, Alasdair and everyone there to help. read more

I'm not sure what happened...maybe they didn't tighten it back up or maybe they removed the screw and never put it back. They also set my mountain bike tires to 50psi...what!
