We have been here a few times and enjoyed it every time! We usually get the steaks, sirloin and prime ribs with baked potato or mash and the corn ribs. The last time we were here, our steaks were perfect. My husband usually gets his cooked medium rare and mine typically medium well. This recent visit however, my steak was dry and bland so for the first time, I needed the A-1 sauce to give it some flavor and moisten the steak. It was well-done and bland. My husband's steak still perfect and juicy! There's is no gravy or steak sauce unless you ask for A-1 but when a steak is done right, why would you want to mask the flavors! It was the first time I was disappointed with my steak. Everything else was fantastic! The drinks, potato, jalapeño cream cheese appetizer was pretty good. Hoping it was just a one-time hiccup with the steak issue but I would still comeback and enjoy a good meal here. Stopped by Canyon Cowboy and unfortunately the experience was pretty disappointing. The service was extremely slow even though the restaurant wasn't very busy. There were about 6 staff members running around, yet it still took 15 minutes just to get a cup of coffee -- and we had to remind the staff about it. I ordered the Old Fashioned Burger with a single patty, but it came out with two. The onion rings were bland and had a cornmeal-heavy coating that just wasn't very appealing. My boyfriend's breakfast wasn't much better -- his potatoes and eggs were both cold by the time they arrived. Overall, not much to brag about, especially for the price and wait time. read more

Really bummed as I have been wanting to try this spot for a long time. The restaurant itself was nice but the young staff were not very attentive and the food was very bland. For the price of the Ribeye I'd expect it to at least be flavorful but this steak was thin and over cooked and just over all underwhelming. Waitress never came back to ask if we wanted refills on our drinks or bothered to ask how our meal was. It was just an over all terrible experience. Definitely won't be returning. read more

Such a bummer for tonight's service and experience. They were doing karaoke nite. On a Friday. Usually its a week night. Way too loud. Could barely hear the waitress or each other. Parents were letting their kids run all over the place and not even watching them at all around all the tables and where ever else they were off too. No one once said to stop running in the restaurant. Our waitress was so sweet but not attentive. Our drinks were empty and took a long time to get new drinks. It wasn't even busy enough. Couldn't get out of the noise fast enough tonight. I really wish they would have put up sound tiles. Idk how they work in that loud environment. Such a bummer. This is such a great local spot for brunch or burgers! The patio area is a nice touch, and my husband is obsessed with their chili burger. They also have a full bar, which I love since I'm not a big beer person. It's family-friendly too--our kids enjoy it every time. Went there with my cousin and friends for dinner. Food was good. I had the spinach dip as an appetizer and Wild West Chicken for dinner. The best part was it was Wednesday night, a Dj and many very talented line dancers! It was so nice to see so many of all ages out here line dancing with a style I have never seen before!! My wife and I had heard about this place about a year ago and were told it was really good. We decided to try it and found it very clean, the staff very freindly but it seemed they were more about gathering at the side of the bar and joking or flirting with one another rather than paying attention to the paying customers. I had ordered a coke but they don't sell coke so I had a Dr Pepper. Both my wife and I had the railroad rolls. Great flavor but over sized. We had the salad as one of our sides and the lettuce was warm (not chilled) and there was not enough dressing. Had to wait until someone was looking to wave them over to get more and the 12oz New York steaks we ordered medium came out well-done and looked to be 8oz. Steaks But did have good flavor. Every-time I order steak at a restaurant I leave disappointed. I like my steak still alive and hardly cooked. And for some reason, people can never get it right. We arrived on a Saturday night where it was busy. We were told it would be an hour wait for our party of 4. Had we known they take reservations, we would've made them. As we contemplated where else to go while we stood outside the hostess came to us and informed us if we gave her 15 minutes, she could get us seated as a table had just opened up. We were excited as we had been looking forward to their reopening and giving them the business. We got seated, our waiter (wish I would've gotten his name) was GREAT! The drinks came within minutes of us ordering them. Our appetizer was great! Our food was bit delayed, but the drinks kept coming. We had the Railroad Rolls as an appetizer. Within our party we ordered as main entrees; Outlaw Burger, Steakhouse Salad, Burger and Ceviche (no octopus ). And we were all very happy! Service to get our entrees took a bit longer, but we understood because it was a full house. Pleasantly surprised with everything. As we left ALL staff we passed by thanked us for coming! So we tried this place since it reopened and it really went down hill. The drink menu is tiny and noting seemed appealing- so I went with a spicy margarita which was not good. I got the Buffalo wings- and I'll admit i am a wing snob- but they were terrible. (The old wings they used to have were smoked and very good!) my wife got the seafood tower menu option and said it was completely flavorless and practically just cucumbers. Overall we were not fans and won't be back which is disappointing because we used to love this place and prefer a mom and pop place to eat as we avoid chains. The interior was nice, looks practically the same as it always did. Overall, just really disappointed in the food, portion size as well as flavor. Wanting to try this place the last year. We drive by when we head over to the Texas Rhoda House. We decided to finally stop , and try the food. My husband ordered a 13oz Rib eye medium. Came well done so he sent it back. The salad was warm not cold. The biggest compliment we have is the Staff. They all hung out at the bar and flirting not paying to the customers. I kept looking over to get their attention, and they didn't look over. Finally we flagged over a guy that worked there to change out my husbands steak. We will not be back. We went on a Sunday night after everywhere else had over an hour wait and this place didn't have a wait at all. Same classic charm as the old canyon cowboy but definitely feel the food has upgraded but still reasonably priced. Great place for the family to have dinner. I also liked how it wasn't crazy loud but it was open. I wish service was better. Lots of young people walking the floor. We never had an opportunity to have our drinks refilled... the waitress did apologize and said she was new, understandable since the restaurant just opened not too long ago. I got a ribeye, steak, loaded, baked potato, and broccoli, and my loaded baked potato had about five pieces of bacon and about a fourth of a teaspoon of sour cream, and my steak was just all fat pretty much! Was never a fan beforehand and then after the change of ownership, I'm still not a fan.. the waitresses are snotty not attentive sat there for a while before we even asked if we wanted drinks. We were neglected the entire time. My son's drink sat on the corner of the table for 20 minutes before I initially had to ask her for a refill... We ordered bottomless mimosas, but they prolong the time because the service is so bad. Food was super, drinks were right, prices very reasonable and service was pretty good (considering they are still working out some bugs.) Very casual place, but very welcoming and comfortable. So disappointed! DO NOT GET GIFT CARDS HERE!!!! I went to dinner a couple weeks ago with my husband and parents. A few items we ordered they said they ran out of after they took our order (including a baked potato at 6:30pm). I made the mistake of not looking carefully at the bill until after my card was charged and they had charge us for the items they had ran out of, that we didn't receive. I asked for a refund and they asked if I would take a gift voucher. They brought me 2 $10 gift vouchers that were only good for 30 days. But I accepted them. Tonight my husband went to use them any they said they were only for 10% off. But we had over paid for our other meal. And these vouchers said $10 dollars on them not 10%. I feel ripped off. I wish I had pictures of the vouchers but I didn't think a they wouldn't accept the vouchers THEY issued. Diners beware! read more

So this place just opened again. I expected more from a place that really sucked before and just re-opened with a new menu. Starting with the drinks. The Jack Daniel's blackberry lemonade was pretty good, but was supposed to be topped with muddled blackberries (they were out of blackberries). So that was lame. The salted Carmel old fashioned was also pretty good even though it was served in the wrong glass and served as the picture shows (half full), kind of embarrassing for a bartender to serve a drink like that but whatever. We got the cream cheese egg roll things and I was impressed, they were crispy and had a good sauce. Also got the zucchini sticks, they tasted fine I suppose, kind of bland, presentation looked like a few Lincoln logs on a plate which was funny looking. Wouldn't get them again. The blue cheese burger was ok, asked for medium, got well done. Kind of bland. No sauce, so it was really dry. Fries were surprisingly good though, was impressed with those. The sirloin steak was pretty good, cooked correctly and good flavor, the mashed potatoes were bland and dry, Corn ribs were pretty decent though. Service was great, our waitress was great. There was only a handful of people there at 5pm. Over all it was nothing to write home about. We'll keep trying to see if it gets better but honestly the old place really sucked, so it should be pretty easy to be better than that. read more

we went there for happy hour. They had a good selection of drinks and even some specialty drinks. I had a salted caramel whiskey which was delicious! My husband had the whiskey hamburger and he said it was the best hamburger he ever had. Our server was Jared and he was great, efficient and friendly! We met the owner and he was excited to be there and listened to our compliments and suggestions. I think this new ownership will make this restaurant a great addition to our neighborhood. read more
