a plate of fries and a glass of wine

Laura is an amazing General Manager with true leadership and passion for what she does. My husbands grandma came to visit from Salt Lake City and she came up to our table and was just a true delight to get to know and see her impressive performance. She made us a delicious appetizer called Laura's hot mess and we just felt very lucky to have such service and an experience. Also the new renovations look amazing as I haven't been there in a long time because of some past experiences so this really went above and beyond my expectations and we will be back more frequently to see Laura and her team! Thank you!

My empty plate that was delicious.

This place is the perfect spot for any eating occasion. There food is good across the board. This morning, it's all you can eat brunch that they just started back up, and my goodness it was delicious. I meant to take a picture of my incredibly loaded plate, but instead you get the remains There's fresh fruit, Belgian waffles, biscuits and gravy, bacon, sausage, country potatoes, French toast an omelette bar...and our favorite server Kristen

Saddens me that even after a few more recent visits to support a local restaurant, I am still receiving such poor quality of food and service here. I was hoping to highlight some positive changes and a return from Covid to encourage my family to return. Photos will show tonight's fish and chips/bites orders vs. what I received at my last visit in May when I ordered fish and chips and really enjoyed it. But this visit, it was something completely different; not only were they strangely uniformed in shape, but they seemed undercooked and smelled extremely fishy. If I'm not mistaken, there shouldn't be too much of an odor? I was hoping to convince my family to try the Lighthouse again because of my visits last few months with breakfast and a friend's birthday dinner in May. Service had been friendly and pleasant. Service is often friendly, just very slow still, and seemed to have improved, but when we called back tonight to ask about the fish, the management was rude on the phone and bragged he sells "100 orders of these a night without complaint" instead of just listening to what we had to say or ask. The pretzel was dry and overcooked and tough to eat. The cheese dipping sauce was runny and watery my son said. Our meal was about $30 and I'd have chalked it up to money spent on a bad meal, but the phone call adds to our frustration. Very disappointed in the customer service we received as well as the dinner I'd been looking forward to. I have tried giving my business here so many times and it pains me to just avoid returning for the food. Maybe the views and cocktails are great, but I really wish the food would be consistent and a better quality considering the neighborhood.

From the moment we walked into Fugghedabout, we were stunned. The space is dark, sultry, lightly dimmed, and incredibly chic, something you'd never expect here. It has a very grown up, intimate vibe (21+ only), perfect for date night or a night out with friends. We were lucky enough to visit on a night with live music (they have it Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays), and it completely set the mood. Even though it wasn't very busy, the energy was wonderful and the music was excellent. Service was top notch. Meghan was fantastic, friendly, attentive, accommodating, and so helpful throughout the meal. Faith, the owner, also stopped by several times to check on us, which earned major points. Such a sweet touch and much appreciated. Now the food... wow. We started with the seared scallop special topped with caviar, and it was outstanding, perfectly cooked, with the caviar adding just the right touch of saltiness. Honestly, we wanted to order more. The hot goat cheese with hot honey appetizer was delicious and so comforting. Definitely get extra bread, you'll want it. Since it was Taco Tuesday, we tried the taco trio with chicken, steak, and shrimp. The steak and shrimp were standouts. The chicken was slightly dry, but overall we really enjoyed them. And the biggest surprise of the night was the shrimp and sausage skillet. Absolutely incredible. So flavorful and rich, and again we needed more bread to soak up every bit of that delicious sauce. We also ordered the crème brûlée for dessert, which was good. The sugar topping was slightly thick, and I'll admit I'm a bit of a dessert snob, so while we enjoyed it, the meal itself was really the shining star of the night. I'm already dreaming about my next visit. I was genuinely impressed by everything, service, ambiance, food, and live music. This place is a whole vibe. Five stars all the way. Highly recommend for anyone looking for amazing food in a sultry, intimate setting. I've already recommended it to several friends. Thank you Meghan and Faith for such a great night. We'll definitely be back!

Tucked away off the main road, this place feels quiet, intimate, and incredibly charming, with dark walls, candlelight, and wine bottles lining the walls. The ambiance, the food, the wine--it all came together perfectly. The gray sky at sunset somehow made the whole experience feel even more atmospheric and intimate. The staff was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable about both the menu and wine list, and happy to talk about the surrounding area. We arrived right when they opened at 3 PM on a Saturday. The hostess was sweet and quickly showed us to our table. As soon as we walked in, I noticed the paintings on the walls--they were beautiful and really added to the atmosphere. If you want to learn some history behind the restaurant ask Tiffany for the story behind the paintings :) We started with a couple of drinks, and they were delicious. I ordered a Bloody Maria (basically a Bloody Mary made with tequila), and it was really good. For an appetizer, we got the Grilled Corn Ribs, and wow--they were so tasty. We couldn't stop talking about how good they were. For our entrées, we ordered the Double Stacked Cheeseburger and the Cavatelli pasta. I really enjoyed the pasta. The flavor was delicious, and while the noodles were a bit thicker than I expected, it was still a great dish. My partner wasn't the biggest fan of the burger because of the Southwestern pimento cheese, but the fries were excellent! I tried the burger myself and honestly thought it was still pretty good. It was also my partners birthday so they brought a cute little dessert! Overall, we had a great experience. Our waiter, Jose, was friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service. We'd definitely come back and try more items on the menu.

It has been our go-to steakhouse, and we've even celebrated our anniversary here. We love the food, which makes what happened during our son's birthday dinner especially disappointing. After an excellent steak dinner that cost approximately $330, we brought out a small, pre-sliced ice cream Polar Pizza for our son's birthday. I began serving it myself because it was already sliced. The waitress then came over and, in a confrontational manner, announced that we would be charged a $25 cake-cutting fee. The fee may have previously been mentioned to my wife, but I was not aware of it when I began serving the cake. I understand that restaurants have policies, and a calm explanation would have been enough. Instead, the situation was turned into an unnecessary scene during our son's birthday celebration. Then another large male employee came over, stepped directly into my personal space, and angrily asked, "Would you bring beer into a bar?" He got right in my face without first asking what had happened or allowing me to explain. His tone and decision to get that close were aggressive, disrespectful, and completely unprofessional. We ultimately paid the $25 fee even though the staff did not cut, plate, or serve the cake. The fee was frustrating, but the confrontational way the employees handled the situation was far worse. Families considering celebrating a child's birthday here should confirm every outside dessert policy beforehand. In our case, what should have been a joyful moment for our son became an upsetting experience. It did not leave us feeling as though families celebrating with children were welcomed or valued. A simple and respectful conversation could have resolved everything in seconds. Instead, their response changed the entire mood and ruined what should have been a special ending to our son's birthday dinner. The food may still be excellent, but a restaurant is remembered for more than its steaks. After years of loyalty, the aggressive and disrespectful way this was handled during our son's birthday has cost them our business. We will not be returning.
