We realized after our first night that the spot was not going to work for us, it was too small for our travel trailer and large truck. We went to the onsite office and asked about changing spots. The three ladies in the office didn't hesitate and immediately went to work looking for a larger spot for us. They did, spot #104. And not only did they allow us to move, they didn't charge us the difference for the remaining 3 nights. Customer Service is alive and well here at Escondido RV Resort! Thankfully we saw Champagne Lakes on the way up and stopped in to see if it was any better. To our surprise this hidden gem was beautiful!! We were greeted by Donna who was absolutely amazing!! She was able to accommodate us in our large 5th wheel at such a short notice! It felt so welcoming and safe and we are so thankful for them! If you are looking for a beautiful peaceful stay this is the place! Spots are spacious, people are kind and it's exactly what we were looking for! I used to pay $90/day to keep my rv somewhere else and it's almost half as much here. Well it's a little more if you add the waste/ sewage but it's still not nearly close to $90. The level of comfort and home vibe I felt while staying says a lot because this new full time rv way of life has been a tough adjustment for me but woods valley made me feel like "yeah I could for sure do this." I could only afford to pay for one day at a time but if you pay for weekly or monthly, you get a discount. So that's my eventual goal.

The other tenants, both short term and long term, are very friendly. It was a good mix of young couples, families with young children and retirees. Nothing is perfect. Sometimes washing machines break. Sometimes there was construction going on. Sometimes the neighbors hired a mariachi band for a birthday party in the middle of the day. Haha! But that's RV life in general. I did miss being able to have a campfire at these sites and unfortunately the hot tub is still closed due to COVID, but I definitely will be staying here again in the future.

However, The bathrooms were not maintained or kept clean. One of the toilets in the women's got stopped up and no one came to fix it. Someone told the office too.
