Wow! Such a beautiful resort! So clean and super accommodating. We had plans to stay at All Seasons Rv Resort up the way from Champagne Lakes but when we arrived the resort (All Seasons) was not what we expected - it was super small and not very clean. Thankfully we saw Champagne Lakes on the way up and stopped in to see if it was any better. To our surprise this hidden gem was beautiful!! We were greeted by Donna who was absolutely amazing!! She was able to accommodate us in our large 5th wheel at such a short notice! It felt so welcoming and safe and we are so thankful for them! If you are looking for a beautiful peaceful stay this is the place! Spots are spacious, people are kind and it's exactly what we were looking for! This is neither bad or good. Just more of a general comment. We were really bummed out not being able to stay at this location. We were offered to stay starting 5-6 days early since a spot was open. We mentioned we wanted the spot but we were not going to move in until our move in date. They said if they are not able to get that spot rented out for those days we would be responsible to pay for those dates. This does not seem right as we had given our date of when we would stay and a deposit. Does not seem right to make someone pay for a space you're not staying in or requesting to stay in. They said they had availability for the days we requested. Anything before that doesn't seem like it should be our responsibility. Hopefully they change this policy. The office person said she understood, and didn't offer any other options. We had to back out from staying there unfortunately. :( read more

I was disappointed in the reservations procedure. I wanted to stay for a week for a family reunion and high school graduation and began my contact with them early in Spring to be sure I would have a spot. However they kept putting me off saying "it's too early" and when I waited for the date they suggested contacting them, they couldn't give me an answer asking me to call in a week. What I soon realized was they wanted a longer term stay and a week wasn't long enough. So I booked at Escondido RV Park instead and was very happy to get a quiet place to stay for the week. read more

We had sold our home and wanted to go the truck and RV route. We looked at different places in South Bay , East County and North County. We looked at Champagne Lakes and it was so beautiful. Lots of trees, birds, ducks, three lakes. Spots that are more private and very well taken care of. It seemed more on the quiet side than others we looked at. Decided to give it a try and so glad we did. It's two minutes away from my daughter and her family which is a plus. It is going on 2 years now and I seriously do not want to leave. TERRIBLE More live ins than actual RV people that want to just set up and camp for a couple days. Everyone has gardens set up and many vehicles round their RV's, Some have sheds, small pools, fences set up for their pets etc. Small lakes that are all filthy and with all the parked cars and trucks forget about privacy and quite. Not good at giving back deposit money either I gave 48hr notice according to the park rules and still was told because they did not rent my space I would not be getting deposit back. The location is beautiful. Owner, management and staff are very responsive and welcoming. The park is very quiet at night. There is a mix of long-term RVers and visitors. The park is well-kept, so even the long term RVer's have attractive spaces.The lakes create a nice ambiance. I'm not really into fishing, but I like the scenery. I almost don't want to leave a good review and have other people discover this hidden gem. We were looking for a place to park our fifth wheel for a few months. Most places in the area were super crowded with very little scenery. Then we came to Champagne Lakes. So nice! The spaces are roomy so you have plenty of spots for seating outside of your rig. There are three lakes with catch and release fishing. Lots of ducks and other wildlife are everywhere. There's a pool, a cute little market/deli, washing machines, a dog run and full hookups with free cable included. The staff was super friendly and willing to work with us on which space we preferred and the prices were inexpensive. The people we met were really nice, either stopping to have a quick chat or waving as we drove through. I can't wait to settle in and update this to 5 stars! I'm positive we have found our own little piece of heaven right here in Escondido. Who'da thunk it?? Lol. read more

Champagne Lakes RV Resort is located right off of the 15. It is gated with key fob entry. The key fob has a deposit of $20 I recommend getting one if you plan on doing a month to month stay here. The front office employees are very friendly. They have grounds staff they are always keeping the place clean etc. There are different rates depending on the space. You can camp with just a tent as well. It's a great place to stay it's safe and friendly. read more

Very quiet park off the freeway. I've driven by it for years now and never knew it was there. Looks like a small family run operation. Prices seemed in line with what I've paid elsewhere for my 27' travel trailer. However, prices here included cable and phone and a cement pad. Initially the spot assigned to us was already taken by another camper, but they were quick to send Marshall out to help us scout out another campsite. They found us another site very quickly on Vista Mesa. As the name implies, the view was breathtaking. Marshall was EXTREMELY helpful in helping this new RV'er get his coach backed into a spot. When we realized we forgot a grill and firewood, Marshall found a grill we could borrow (mind you it was 5pm, dinnertime, and my in laws had just dropped by to meet us for dinner). Marshall then made sure we had charcoal, lighter fluid, and wood. Rather than telling us we could pickup these staples at the store, he made the trip himself and deliverd them to us allowing us to setup camp. As another reviewer pointed out, the grounds do have a rustic feel with plenty of trees. Up at Vista Mesa there are fewer trees that high up, so a little less shade, but the view certainly compensates for that. I hope to return in the near future. read more

This campground is very, LONG TERM oriented. Getting a spot for a nite or two is hard to get. No availability. This is because 80% of the residents there are residents. We came in on a Thursday- Sunday. We left Saturday morning. It's pretty, it's quiet, it's well maintained. But we felt like we went to someone's neighborhood, pulled up on their street and camped. We saw no one, nothing to look at besides the neighborhood yards, spoke to no one, everyone is inside their rigs. If we had come with the grandkids, they would not have been welcomed let's just say. The rule here is , QUIET, we live here , don't make noise. It's for retired persons that just want to sit in their RV. if we ever wanted to live there full time in our RV , it would be perfect. it's just not geared for a weekend vacation. read more

I'm a sucker for excellent customer service. Being in customer service for over 30 years makes me pretty picky about customer service. We happened to get lucky in getting a spot here during a very busy President's day weekend. I spoke with Mark who was super sweet. When we got here we experienced very sweet people and wonderful customer service. The percentage of people who are permanent residents is pretty high but it's a cute resort. Bathrooms are very clean. The concrete pads are great size. We stayed in a full hook-up site. We had trouble getting our cable service to work and Mark came over immediately to help. We needed to turn of our booster. Had a nice relaxing weekend. It was too cold to use the pool but it was very clean. My kids loved the ducks and geese. They also enjoyed the playground. Thank you, Champagne Lakes! read more

We tried this place as a test run for our new RV. They are in the process of adding another section of hookup sites and renovating one of the older areas. Pros- Nice cement pad for the rv, clean benches included, clean bathrooms, good power, cable included, reasonably priced, quiet, no hassles, fires ok. Cons- Some dilapidated rigs of the permanent residents, store is not open, worn out playground equipment and not a whole lot to do for kids other than riding bikes and fishing. The pool looked nice and clean but wasn't great weather. Overall, we had a nice time. They appear to be investing some money into the property for improvements. The place has great potential to be more of a destination than a pass through. I would stay here again. read more

I only come here for the fishing, and now that the place is getting a big makeover, I will come back with my daughter for some camping. Nice looking place and the guy at the store is very nice indeed. Never caught anything at the lakes, but I keep trying until I do. I like the catch and release only policy and have seen some big fish there. Other county lakes have no rules or regs so people keep coming and pulling fish out until it's dry. Here you have a chance to catch some big fish without the worry of them not being there the next time. One thing I would like to see happen is for them to go through and pull out the floating vegetation. My hook gets stuck sometimes and can be a pain. All in all, a great place to fish and relaxing. read more

We were traveling and headed to Arizona from washington when we stopped here to rest. We haven't left. It's been almost a month now and don't plan on leaving anytime soon. Is it overpriced? Well sure a little but believe me we stayed in a lot of Rv parks the last few months traveling. You get what you pay for. It's clean, friendly, beautiful view, swimming, fishing, laundry, mail, store etc. The only thing that bugs me is no free wi fi, you have to pay. Most, if not all Rv parks have free wifi. But this place is 50 acres mind you. So maybe it's not an option, not sure. When you wake up to a view like this every morning, how can you be in a bad mood? read more

Parents stayed here for a couple months. Clean facilities, friendly staff, quick to respond to any issues. Nice setting around the lake/ponds and pretty quiet all around. Not too many long term rentals and lots of small books for RVs so you aren't all in a row but do have concrete slabs for each area. My boyfriend and I have lived here (yes, LIVED here) for the last 2 years and we absolutely love it. We are a younger couple (23 & 24 yrs old) that enjoys the rustic, campground atmosphere Champagne Lakes has to offer. Over the last 2 years, we've seen the park improve a lot- new spaces added, new black top, new landscaping, lake dredging, etc. Super quiet for being right next to the freeway. Wish we could be reviewing how our week went camping here but never got that far. Warning for anyone submitting a reservation request online. You submit your dates and you get an email confirmation with those dates saying someone will be in touch. Well Donna called me the next day around 11am and left a message saying to call them back, that's it!! When I got a chance a few hours later I called back only to be told they gave my dates away! This makes no sense to me and doesn't seem like good customer service. No warning online that you are not at least putting your dates on hold and she didn't even bother telling me in the message " hey call back asap because we will give these away!" Very unprofessional in my opinion and disappointing since that was our plan. read more

Called to make a reservation for long term stay. They wanted pictures of our RV. We sent them. They said our RV looked "yellowed". Its tan....not white but tan and beige. It is not yellowed! We have been to RV parks all over the country and have never been declined since our RV is in excellent shape. Annoyed. From the looks of the lack of recent reviews they must have been closed for a few years. Well let me tell you about my experience at this rv resort and my encounter with this drunk woman who almost ran over my friend with her golf cart Ok so I never been there before my friend took us here bcuz it was comic-con and hotel we just not an option plus I haven't went camping for a while so I was up for it My friend told us we can even fish there so he paid our site in the morning before we went about our day later buying fishing equipment for four and other supplies (two six packs of coors light and beef jerky) and it was almost dark when we got there so I ask my friend who was here before if it was ok to fish here at night bcuz I didn't wanna break any rules he said last time the lady said ok so there we were fishing for maybe 40mins it got dark I'm not that good a fisher honestly so I eventually just started getting the hang of it when this lady came with a loud voice saying there is no fishing at night flashing a flashlight in my face I said o wow I'm sorry I didn't know (I didn't see any signs posted but it was dark) so I apologized i instructed my friends start to pack it up so we did she drive away and turn back around with vengeance and starting screaming at us saying' did you guys even pay for fishing and I was like wow I'm so sorry I didn't know there was a fee and ask her if I can pay the fee and fish in the morning but then she took off really fast almost hitting my cousin who tragically was ran over by a truck by some loser who did it anger just like this woman almost did as we was leaving bcuz we didn't want to stay there any more and rather pay 300 for a room she said no refund u were here all day even though we just paid and left that morning but that's not why I called I asked her her name but she didn't want to give it so I told her I was gonna tell everyone on yelp about this and she was like Drunk and saying go head do it I don't care I mean there's no comparison to a truck and a golf cart but he still suffers from that tragic day his wife was also hit by this lowlife and she now lives in constant pain so yeah this really bothered him and he had a flashback and now is reminded again of that day read more

I cant understand why anyone would want to stay anywhere else here in Escondido Ca when they are rv'ng. We have been watching this resort for the last 10 years and this new owner has made this "little piece of heaven " the best rv resort here in North County as far as we are concern. Its so peaceful and beautiful I have to make this my home in my 2014 Montana 3900fb. The owner is very caring and understanding to what his customers want and need. The staff is awesome, very helpful. All of the people that work here make you feel like your family.. The owner and women in the office make sure you are as happy as you need to be. The park for anyone that loves nature, you can camp by the lakes for a day or week and fish till you want. There are alot of wonderful full timers living here and it makes a wonderful community. There's a site and price for everyone, You get lakes to fish in, have a picnic lunch, or just sit and read a good book. as you can tell we love it here and plan on staying for a long time. dont know anything about the laundry rooms or pool because I havent make it there to check it out. But i would be honest to say I bet they are in top shape, because this owner makes sure he is on site all the time keeping this paradise in tip top shape. Come and check this place out and see for your self. I really can't believe we found a spot here. And a great one at that! We came up here from another popular San Diego RV "resort", and the feeling here is amazing. Office staff are so helpful and friendly, the grounds are so clean, showers clean, roomy and hot. The private ponds are perfect to teach kids to fish, and if they get bored there, take them to the playground or the pool. Security level - great. Amenities level - great. Helpful staff - great. We just stayed for three days and had a great time. The kids got tons of bluegill all by themselves in the fishing ponds, my youngest started swimming in the pool, we rode bikes on the trails, at night we had a fire and roasted marshmallows. The bathrooms were very clean, the facilities were nice, I can't think of any downside. The facilities were actually nicer than many of the county parks we stayed in. read more

So we planned around it only to e-mail some photos of our rig and be told it was too old and not up to par... Reserved our camping space for 2 nights. We were only able to make the second night due to work schedules changing. We called to let them know and never asked for a refund on the first night. Fully intended on paying for both days and staying just one. The office called us two days in a row to try to give our camping spot away or move us to another spot without sewer. Upon arrival we were informed of a fee for children. We have a 2 year old and a 6 month old, usually children 2 and under are free. It seems that this place is mostly renters and not many campers. We should have done more research before booking. A lot of the renters were rude and the place seemed a little run down. Not much for children to do there at all. They have a small run down swing set that has had the slide removed and a pool. We will not be staying there again. read more

Extremely helpful staff and honorable business. When I removed my trailer from the RV Storage early I was on the hook to pay the monthly fee for another month. However they quickly found somebody to take my spot and gave me a Full Refund. They could have kept my money as there's no way I would never have known they got someone else. This is a very quiet park with very little highwaqy noise. Scenery had a rustic feel to it with lots of trees. There were very few full time campers, a few tent campers in designated areas. Good hook-ups including TV and most had cement parking. Our view of the middle lake would have been wonderful except for our neighbor's truck that he parked right in our view of the lake and the sunset. It was a dirty, utility truck with wires, ropes, buckets hanging all over it. Not what we like to see on our back-to-nature resort. There was a small pool that was clean with several lounge chairs. No changing room. Had a store but hours were only 11-3 Fri-Sun. But when we tried to buy something at 1:30 on Sun. it had already closed. Several people came and were disappointed. No organized activities or games available. And we were there in July. Seemed expensive for level of park you get. read more
