BYOB with 50/50 rings & sweet potato fries.
    Steve C.

First visit, was great at warmly. Lots of different burger and side options. I did a BYOB with a 50/50 sweet potato fries/onion rings. The burger was just not that flavorful and was a perfectly pre-portioned shape, leading me to believe it was a frozen and not fresh patty. Not juicy at all, it simply was just not a very good burger. Sides were good. There's both inside and outside dining available. Service from the staff throughout was excellent. Pricing is definitely on the high side.

Signature Smash Burger and Sweet Potato Fries

Smash. Burger. Overpriced. On my recent visit to Canyons in downtown Woodstock, I got the signature smash burger. I appreciate that it wasn't overloaded with burger fixin's... just the necessities. The smash burger sauce was unique and made the burger feel a little more special. It was really juicy, and it had a good meat-bread ratio. Unfortunately, what makes this burger a little lackluster is the lack of texture. It's almost too greasy, and (especially from a smash style burger) I expect some gristle. The regular crinkle fries were pretty standard- well salted though. The sweet potato fries were actually pretty good as far as the sides. This is the kind of restaurant where the sides are priced separately from already $12 burgers. So, it's impossible to get a basic burger meal for less than $16-$20 depending on your side and drink. The highlight of the night was the chicken tenders actually. It's just really good fried chicken- especially paired with the Canyons Sauce. Additionally, the milkshakes were pretty great actually. The vanilla and chocolate shakes are... yum! These were super thick (but drinkable through a straw) milkshakes. Service was a quick order taking process, but a pretty slow delivery. The food is fine, and a little pricy. Given it is in a main downtown area with high foot traffic, I'd say it's worth a try if you are looking for something specific in the area. In downtown Woodstock, it's hard to find much cheaper, but there is definitely better food at other places in the strip.

My wife and I have been coming here for a while. For me, they consistently make great food! The burgers are always my go to, and the fries are epic. Love the shakes too although I WISH mine had just a tad more strawberry flavor. The Ranch is PROPER ranch dressing and beats anyone else's ranch within a 20 mile radius. I will die on that hill. This is the very first time I have ever gotten anything from Canyons other than a burger. Man am I a FAN of that Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich now. Right amount of heat. Not the Smokey greasy heat you typically get on a Nashville hot. This had the RIGHT amount of spice. Garlicky, and well seasoned. The pickles and pimento cheese were a perfect flavor combo. Dip it in the ranch. Trust me. I will now CRAVE this sandwich. Anyone who serves me crave-able food will continue to get my business. Tuesday nights is kids night (I believe kids eat free I think. but I'm old. Trust but verify) The service is always good and as I cleared my table, one of the gentleman offered to toss it for me. That was nice! You can never go wrong with Canyons. It has always been consistently good. Great downtown Woodstock location. One of my favorite places that I can walk to. Don't miss it.

This is one of my favorite burger places! I used to go to Cheeseburger Bobby's but ever since they changed their recipe I had to switch it up. If you want something nicer than McDonald's or Burger King, this is the place to go. I will say the downtown Woodstock location can be a challenge sometimes, especially with where they're located. Parking is a nightmare. The new deck they built may help a bit but the immediate parking area is not great. I usually end up parking at Elm Street and walking over. The place is brightly lit and they take your order relatively quickly. I will say it's on the pricier side of burgers- it's about $10 for my order (cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato and pickle). If you order any of their speciality burgers, it can run you from $12-15ish. The burgers are al a carte, meaning it's just the burger price. If you want a drink or side there is an additional charge. The food came out fairly quickly and was warm, juicy and delicious. I will also say their bathrooms seem to be consistently clean, which is a must for me. Will be back!

Pimento cheese and bacon jam burger
    Kelsi H.

I can't believe I've never reviewed this place. I am here once every 4 months or so and get the same burger every time: the pimento cheese and bacon jam burger. It is so good!! Typically when you order burgers like this, they put way too many topping on it and half of the burger ends up on the plate. Somehow they've managed to put just enough pimento cheese and bacon jam where you taste it in every bite and none is dripping on your shirt. I usually get French fries or a side salad, but the onion rings are also good. This is not a $ place. More of a $$. The burgers are $9-$13 and then you pay for a side ($3) as well. Parking in downtown Woodstock can be a challenge on a beautiful weekend, but you will eventually find something and most of it is free.

The fries and buns are GF and DF. MY only note we went on a Saturday and the bathroom floors were sticky and the booths needed a better wipe down. I came to review B&B and my review from 2023 was still pending...! Sheesh!…read more Uh, so yea, we have been a few times and heck if I know why we don't go more. But tonight? B&B got their hooks in us! Husband was craving a burger, I wasn't really wanting anything specific; we just didn't want to go major chain. Keep them dollars local, y'know? Help a real person. Anyhoo, I did a quick search and asked if he wanted to try B&B again. Thank goodness he agreed, y'all. My only gripe with B&B is their parking lot. It rivals Trader Joe's for impracticality. So take your compact car! They had the corn hole stowed but heaters were blazing and there were people dining on the patio when we walked in. Better ye than me, folks! We were seated immediately and then we met our delightful server... Early server spotlight for Owen. Such nice energy for a gloomy Wednesday evening, really upbeat without being annoying, the perfect level of attentive. Go when he's there and reward his awesomeness as well! Okay, I decided this afternoon that I wanted a li'l blue plate special for dinner. And Husband wanted a burger. He got a spicy smash burger, the actual name escapes me. Spicy & smashed, she was! There was a good amount of heat from the pickled jalapeños so he took a few off. His recommendation is that they go for a smattering of the diced variety instead. (I've created a monster!!!) He was also very happy with his battered fries. Unless I'm misremembering, they remind me of A&W fries; not as seasoned or as battered as Checkers, but so good. What did I get? You're sweet to ask! I did three sides: garlic green beans, fried Brussels and fried okra. Yes, yes, and yes. They are so wild, I think all three were fresh! Can you even?! You know exactly what I'm talking about when I say frozen fried okra has a taste. If this was frozen ever, they need to patent that technology. The garlic green beans were giving Chinese food but better. Really balanced seasoning, good crispness, flavor. Green, if you can imagine! And the Brussels sprouts... With bacon and sauce... Those leftovers will hate to see me coming. "Leftovers?" I sense you ask incredulously. Yes. Because while perusing the menu online, I saw a nice, big picture of their Butter Toffee Cake. And I was instantly imbued with the knowledge that this cake would heal all my past traumas, pay off my student loans, and give me winning lottery numbers. Only time will tell on all counts. But if you order one thing at that restaurant, I demand it be that cake. The person handling those cakes went to the Hogwarts' Academy of Culinary Wizardry. I can hardly describe it and I have no idea what flavor ice cream is on top except it's the best one. If you like food, but especially butterscotch, or not - you need this cake. I blacked out after that and woke up here on Yelp, so... Please go try that cake.

You would think that it would be the other way around. The drive-thru has some gnarly potholes, and while to some, the yellowing walls, signage & general state of deterioration might be endearing, proof that the restaurant has stood the test of time, this place desperately needs a good polishing. The sausage patty wasn't even the diameter of a Coke can, so there was way more biscuit than sausage, while the "steak" (pretty much a breaded & fried ground beef patty) actually matched the size of the biscuit. At $1.45 & $1.75, respectively, for a *small* hashbrown triangle (about the size of my index finger, and I don't have large hands) & cup of grits, I certainly won't be ordering those again. Without the aid of my home air fryer, the biscuits are no longer crispy and pillowy, but rather soft and doughy, signifying that large batches are made in advance and kept in a warming oven. My order was pretty simple and should have been ready within minutes, but instead I had to wait about 10 minutes in the drive-thru. With that kind of wait, I would expect a freshly baked biscuit, or at least one that had been freshly toasted (see above). Burger Inn used to be one of my favorite breakfasts in Woodstock, but like so many restaurants, the prices are keeping up with inflation, and their quality is declining. It makes me sad that a locally owned establishment has fallen from glory to mediocrity.

Big Easy BBQ - Do Not Waste Your Money or Time Eating Here A…read morefew days ago, I watched a well-known BBQ show that offered a simple rule: if there's no smoke coming from a BBQ restaurant, keep driving. Today, I ignored that advice and regretted it. A friend and I decided to try Big Easy BBQ for lunch instead of visiting one of our usual favorites. After reading positive reviews, we drove more than 30 minutes to see what the hype was about. The first warning sign was the nearly empty dining room at lunchtime. The second was the complete lack of that unmistakable BBQ aroma. Despite both red flags, we stayed. My friend ordered the St. Louis ribs with sides, and I ordered the half chicken with two sides. When I noticed he had barely touched his ribs, he handed me a piece to try. The meat was tough, dry, and tasted as though it had been cooked well in advance and reheated. Unfortunately, my chicken was no better. It also seemed old and reheated rather than freshly prepared. For sides, I chose dirty rice and Cajun BBQ beans. Neither tasted particularly fresh. The dirty rice was acceptable at first but quickly lost its appeal, while the beans were merely average. Having lived in New Orleans for five years, I know what good Cajun and BBQ-inspired food should taste like. This wasn't it. The highlights of the meal were my iced tea and my friend's French fries. Service was equally disappointing. The server checked on us only in passing and showed little interest in our experience. When we requested takeout boxes for the food we barely ate, there was no inquiry about why our meals were largely untouched. We both took our leftovers home, though neither of us was enthusiastic about them. The lesson here is simple: online reviews should never outweigh what your eyes, nose, and instincts are telling you. A busy dining room, the smell of smoke, and trusted recommendations are often better indicators than a collection of glowing ratings. As a final note, my friend and I normally pay separately, but I felt responsible for suggesting this restaurant and paid for both meals. If paying for two disappointing lunches taught me anything, it's this: save your time and money, and eat somewhere else.

I also visited the next day and gave them a second try. On my first visit I got a friendly greeting and placed an order for the double version of their House Smash Burger. Since they were parked in a gas station parking lot, and didn't have any soda offerings that I liked, I popped into the station and grabbed my favorite. By the time I'd paid my burger was ready. It was fresh and hot (so hot that I had to wait a bit so I could hold it to eat, LOL). The bun evidenced toasting and was nice and soft and large enough to sandwich the large patties with excellent crusting. Their special smash sauce is like a creamy Italian dressing and there was lots of it, giving it a tang. The lettuce was shredded, making it a bit messy, especially with so much sauce so be sure and avail yourself of the roll of paper towels they provide (however, not available on my visit on the next day). Also the pickles they use have a distinct clove taste, so I wasn't a fan of the flavor combination. On my second visit I got the same burger with just cheese and found it much more enjoyable. Even when scaled down it's still a generously sized burger. Across my visits I had both the fries and tots as a side. Both were very generous portions and nicely crispy and also served piping hot. Of the two the fries were my favorite. They were coated and had a nice seasoning. If I were at a festival where food trucks were the only option, I'd definitely favor this option as the food was pretty good, the portions generous, and it's fairly priced.
