    Com Viet
    Sally G.

The Com Viet was pretty delicious. The dish was light for a rice dish. There wasn't much xia siu pork as it was cut up pretty small. That was probably the most disappointing from my dish (hence the 4 stars). The ambience in the restaurant was casual. Decor is really nice for a Vietnamese restaurant compare to what we have in the States. I would recommend this place to a friend. P.S. It seems they have workers here that speak Spanish, Vietnamese and English.

This place is not very authentic. I had the Thit Heo Kho (carmelized pork) it was not what I was expecting. They served the pork on the rice and the sauce was very very thick neither of which is common. Pho didnt come with a plate garnishes like you would be used to(bean sprouts, basil, cilantro) only lime. All the food was ok, environment was just eh. Overall just an alright experience. It could pass if you are craving vietfood, just barely though.

appetizer they gave us when we ordered, veggies inside

Wherever we go my husband always has to find a Vietnamese restaurant to get a bowl of pho, and I admit sometimes you just have to eat something else other than local food. This was a great find in Barcelona. The location was easyy to find a few blocks away from the la sagrada. The service was good our waiter was Filipino so my mom actually had a conversation with him. They have this combo menu which I ordered and I chose beef pho and a steam chicken with ginger and chives, my husband and sister got large size beef pho and pork Ben as an appetizer, my mom a combo of chicken pho and cuttle fish with ginger and veggies and my broinlaw had this chicken dish with curry sauce I think (sorry didn't get a taste I was so full) They also gave us a appetizer tapa for ordering and it was this triangle shape fried veggie spring roll, it was room temp but still tasty. So when my mom and I ordered the combo, we thought we'll have like a small bowl of soup then our entree. It turned out that the portion of the bowl was bigger than we thought, it looked like their small size portion of the soup. The broth had a good flavor, the veggies we're already in there but no bean sprouts, and the noodle was a bit thicker than what I'm use to but it hit the spot. Our waiter then came with my mom and I entree and it was also a good portion was able to share, it came with this combination fried rice with shrimp, bbq pork, and ham. The only thing we noticed was my broinlaw didn't get rice with his meal. Or maybe the rice was for 3 to share? regardless he doesn't eat beef or pork so he wasn't able to share the rice with us. His dish was saucy so his should have came with white rice. Even with the minor hiccups, its 5 star rating because everything was so good, and we were happy with the service. If we find ourselves in Barcelona again we will surely be back.

    Large pho Bo

I was craving my viet food and always love to try pho in different countries. I was on a mission to find this place and check it out. The food was on point and very authentic. The owner is Vietnamese too! The large pho bowl was ideal portion size for one person- (in the U.S. A large is enough to share between 2 people). The owner was so nice. The restaurant was very clean. Relaxing atmosphere. The decor was nice and not tacky. It's actually pretty close to Sagrada. Would come back here again.

    Yummy vermicelli noodle salad

Went for lunch and we had the 1 person special. It was a fair amount of food for a good price. The tempura vegetables were nice and crunchy and the vermicelli noodle salad hit the spot, especially after I added a little chili oil.

You probably won't get a more authentic pho in barcelona.. in New York - yes.. in Melbourne? Definitely ... but in Bcn this will be the closest . Not for the pho experts but if you long for Vietnamese in Bcn I guess go here. Quite salty but also nicely aromatic and has everything you would expect in it. Quick and nice service.

Vietnamese food is delicious here. I never expected to find a Vietnamese restaurant in Barcelona that serves good food so this was a lucky delicious find. The owner and staff were friendly and food was delicious! Very close to La Sagrada Familia. Reasonable prices too. I would definitely come back.

Beef pho with local red wine.

We enjoyed our dinner here. It was a nice break from tapas. Plenty of vegies and delicious soup. We had the fresh rolls and rice rolls as starters and I had beef pho as an entrée. The starters were refreshing and freshly-made. The pho was of northern-vietnamese style, very savory and the beef was well-cooked. Even though the portions are on the smaller side, we are pleased with our dinner and recommend it if you are craving for Asian food.

    Mium!

Expect to pay about 17-18 eur/person including a drink or two and a main course. The menu is very limited to just Bun Bo (beef), a vegan/vegetarian version, and in the cold months, Pho or Tofu Pho. The beef quality they have is excellent and all the herbs, vegetables, etc has always been extra fresh and gorgeous, and they make their sauces with fresh lemongrass, cardamom, etc by hand each day. I always leave here feeling satisfied, light, and nourished.

I could not have been more pleased. It was an hour till their posted close time. I ordered a wine and the Pho. I wish I had taken a picture-it was a beautiful sight. Fresh, flavorful broth, perfectly cooked noodles and the beef was tasty. I am used to the raw beef variety Pho but this was more cooked steak but so tender and tasty. Served with hoisin and fresh chili so you can add your own heat level. Anyhow, now that my friend has arrived, I might try to go back for lunch one day so they can enjoy this tasty goodness as well! Highly recommend!!!

The Pho Ga has a tasty broth, good Chicken breast meat, but the noodles were a bit soggy. That being said, it was a good soup, and can stand tall on its own. Ban Bo Hue is by far my favorite Vietnamese dish, and they make a solid run at at. Quite a ways from being authentic, it was pretty good, although they could stand to use less oil.

However, after 10+ days of pinxtos and tapas, I was yearning for some soup noodles and my Shin ramen ran out. Pork spring rolls had that bubbly, chewy 'imperial' skin. The filling is a bit different - more like an egg roll - with ground pork and glass noodles. The fish sauce was more sour and vinegary. Well, we are in Spain so it was good for where we were. I saw someone else's summer rolls and they looked good - shrimp and all in clear skin. Chicken pho - grilled chicken. Thick noodles that were dried and cooled, but still a tough al dente. The soup was not stewed for hours or had that wholesome chicken essence. Not my kind of pho but it was hot soup noodles. Shrug. I wouldn't get it again. I added a ton of herbs and lime, which I don't normally do. I did love the herb accompaniment. So fresh and large. Because of this, when I burped later, I did feel like I ate pho. Heheh Service was quick and good so no complaints! I think Vietnamese food is rare here. I see more Chinese and Japanese people and food in Barcelona, which probably would've been the safer option...
