To say they were great with my dog is an understatement. They were fantastic. They whisked him away and I found out he was going to lose his one eye. The compassion and competence is exactly what I'm looking for in a vet. He got his stitches taken out today and is fine. Everyone who worked there got a look at him, praising him. He didn't freak out at all then or now which says something about them (and about him, I must say). I would highly recommend Leach Animal Hospital. I've changed vets pretty quickly.

The limping got worse and decided to take her to a different place for a second opinion, immediately knew that she had tore her ACL and was beyond shocked that Animal health clinic did nothing to test for this the first time we brought her to them about the limping. So now because we have been told for months it's not a concern, she has a full ACL tear and got emergency surgery for something that if caught in the beginning could have possibly been aided to and resolved and she would not have been suffering in the amount of pain she has been for so long now. So to say the least I am very upset with this vet and their lack of care for my dog and just to top it off when requesting my dogs records and explaining why I am upset they said absolutely nothing, no apology, no phone call to discuss just sent the records that to me confirms that they do not truly care about the animals they are supposed to be taking car of. But it doesn't take away from the actual physical experience during our visit. This said, they take constructive and compassionate feedback with an open heart. They recognize there needs to be improvements to the customer experience, while still protecting their employees from customers that lack and amount of human politeness and can be aggressively rude and threatening. Whereas I didn't experience that during this visit, I am well aware that there are humans that are less than humane when it comes to treating other humans. No amount of pain for our pet does not justify behaving unkindly to the staff that goes out of their way, overworked, understaffed and more than likely underpaid, to care for you beloved companion. Many people don't understand either that the venture capital greedy monopoly veterinarian care system puts enormous pressure on veterinary care to sell services and control the out of control emotional costs for care that is not necessarily covered by pet care (and is worse if you don't have it). It is EXPENSIVE. And coverage leaves a lot to the imagination. Pet ownership comes with many caveats and that is one of them. But that is NOT THE EMPLOYEES at the front, fault. They DONT set the cost. They DONT set the standard for care or the protocols. They are there to greet you, tend to you baby, take the payment and dispense the medication the VET sends to the pharma. I have no doubt that with their attention to Customer and Client experience, they will figure it out! In the meantime, thank GOODNESS, our Lulu is getting better every day!
