The food was so good and the wine flights were an experience. They had some live music which was nice and you can tour and do a wine tasting on some Saturdays. The pricing was reasonable.
If Willow Creek winery is closed and you're tempted to go to Cape May winery as a consolation, do yourself a favor and go buy a bottle of wine and drink it at home. The whole set up is confusing. You have to wait to get seated, but then you have to go order your drinks and your food separately a la fast food restaurant vibe. And when I say drinks and food separately, I mean, order food in one line and go to a separate line to order wine. No opportunity to have a taste before you commit to a glass if you want to try several different whites or several different reds you have to order a flight. Because nobody's pouring you a sip and asking you what you think. I'd have had a better experience drinking a bottle of wine at home.
This winery is open all year round and has a fabulous wine tasting room. Very comfortable atmosphere with a fireplace going in the cooler months. Fantastic assortment of wines for tasting. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful in guiding you in suggesting what wines you may like and will make recommendations for your sampling. They were right on the money. The vanilla port was amazing. We have been here many times and totally enjoy our experience. They offer cheese and delicious tapas to purchase in the gift shop area to have with your wine tasting. Many wines from Cape May Winery are offered in local restaurants that are BYOB. My favorite time of year to visit is Spring and Fall. The guided tours are very interesting and fun with a group. This winery should definitely be on your list of ones to try in the area.
The last Grill Night for summer 2026...absolutely delicious! The staff outdid themselves tonight. The charcuterie board never disappoints, perfectly grilled southwest seasoned grilled shrimp & marinated coulotte steak with a mushroom sauce, 5 cheese Mac & cheese, & Rona's broccoli salad. It was a delicious dinner. Desert was amazing...key lime pie and CMW letters in cinnamon on the plate was the best! Cudos to the staff for a great night. And the acoustic music always adds to the beautiful winery atmosphere.
Fantastic spot! We went here tonight to see some live music and so my wife could have some wine flights. Such a beautiful place. We sat outside. It was a perfect date night. We got some tuna tacos and some delicious salads. Filling too. The tacos were in won ton hard shells with avocado inside. Very creative. I got a blueberry mock tail that was really good and not too sweet. A lot of times they go too hard on the sweetners with non alcoholic stuff. We hung out here for close to 3 hours. It's just a really nice place to chill out.
CAPE MAY: we were truly charmed by Cape May Winery and, although no surprise, visiting this spot reinforced that there are great small businesses and how we really have it all here in New Jersey! Leashed and friendly dogs are allowed at designated areas, so check with the host to be seated. Open daily throughout the year, come for the wine made from their own farmed grapes and stay to enjoy a tapas-inspired food menu, and a stroll amongst the Napa Valley-like grounds. We really got lost in the beauty of the place and the sense of whimsy and magic. We enjoyed a bottle of one of their white wines and you can also order by the glass or in a flight for a wine tasting. There is a nice selection of varietals to choose from.
What went well you ask? Everything. Great food, Service and a beautiful setting. Great 3rd generation family business. "Pop Up" anytime and we are in.
I wish I loved this place as much as the other reviewers. The grounds are very pretty. We came in and didn't realize how to get a table and everything said reserved. You have to go see the hostess. Finally a staff member helped us but we didn't get a seat outside which we wanted. I did a white flight and my mom did a red flight. She liked one of her wines and bought it. I didn't like any of mine. I wanted to like something and buy it but it didn't happen. I wouldn't bother returning here.
On 10/10 my husband & I took a trip to Cape May Winery for the first time! Now not a lot of NJ wineries impress me but this winery is definitely in my top 3 favorites! The wines were very flavorful & not overly sweet! The outside accommodations were lovely & so much room! The indoor sections were also spacious and lovely. If we had not been on a budget for our wedding we both agreed this would have been a top contender for a venue to get married at! The staff was very friendly & welcoming! The wine selections were incredible & the food was also tasty! Definitely will come back down if we visit the area again!
Beautiful Vineyard with a lot of outdoor seating. Came out of season so I was unable to see the winery at its peak. This place is quite busy, but there are still a lot of places to sit. Came during a weekend so there was live music making it more enjoyable. You order your food and wine in a certain area and receive a beeper thing when it's ready. The wines were very delicious and I enjoyed the wide variety that they had to taste. I definitely went on the sweeter side vs dry this time around, which I did not regret. The food was very delicious, but of course the portions were not that large. I got the polenta and chicken sliders which were delicious, but I felt it was a tad over priced. Regardless I would still come by here again during peak season for the more scenic views.
Beautiful grounds. A lovely place to walk and take photos in nature. The tasting room was equally as beautiful. As was the outside patio. Lots of places to enjoy your food. The staff was so patient with me as I picked my drink. I could've easily gotten a flight but opted to just get the Isaac Smith Apple. I LOVED it!! They have a good selection of food to pick from. I chose the Nashville Hot Slider. The lady working that section was the friendliest!! I wished there were all as sweet. The sandwich had a great crunch but it wasn't hot at all and I could hardly taste ANY sauce. Maybe they need to rebrand it and say fried chicken sandwich so there's no expectations. Because as is, it was still a yummy sandwich. I had a wonderful time here and would recommend it to anyone!
Beautiful grounds and some of the best wines (white) that I've tried in NJ! We ordered a flight of dry whites and a blueberry mocktail,and these did not disappoint! Came on a busy Sunday afternoon,an hour before closing,and there was plenty of space to find some shade and privacy on a hot day. Pups are welcome,parking is available on a dedicated lot. Must visit when in Cape May!
Great vibe, chill out, have a carafe of wine and some tapas, with some nice music in the background. Very relaxing g!
Back again and enjoyed it just as much as the first visit! This time I brought my hubby and we tried the tuna tacos with the white wine flight and a port. Loved it! Music, food, wine, outdoor view...I mean...perfect end to our Cape May trip! read more

Loved it here! Really pretty winery. We each had a flight and I liked all the wines I had. I did the estate flight. My favorite was the white blend. I thought the prices were really reasonable. Our charcuterie board was really nice and had great variety. Everything I tried was really good and the lavender honey was amazing! You can buy it by the jar. I would definitely get it if you like honey!! It was really nice and relaxing sitting outside by the fountain. We really enjoyed our visit here. I would definitely come here again. read more

Love this vineyard in the summer, but I also love that they stay open year round and have indoor seating! We came here to celebrate my mom's birthday in January. It was so fun! The spring/summer is super crowded here but we were pleasantly surprised that it was empty! The worker pouring our wine said that Sundays are usually quieter than Saturdays year round, so keep that in mind! I tried the sauvignon blanc and cab sav reserve. Both were great, but I think I preferred the red, even though I'm normally a white wine girl. I was pleasantly surprised! Definitely a must visit when in Cape May! read more

They have a lot different events in the summer n they do have one of the best wine in this state n county hands down a must go n stop n get a glass of battle of wine n some taps n enjoy it we have been coming for years n still the best only to wineries I would go this one another one it's 10/10 read more

Absolutely excellent food, wine and ambience. However, because of that it's popular so be prepared for a less intimate atmosphere and a 90 minute table limit. It's not well advertised on their website but they have several gluten free food options including a gluten free crust for their flatbread. read more

The wines were surprisingly really good-- and I'm really picky about my wines. Definitely fun in a group. Great to hang out, chat, try some local wines and nosh. Food counter was order and pick up. Place is not huge so it can fill up pretty fast. read more
Came here a little before closing. Nice lobby area with some cute things you can buy. Go inside and there is seating and couches. We ordered wine flights at the counter, which has a beautiful fountain on the wall behind the counter. The employee poured our wine into three glasses (we both got the red flight) and we took it to our table in the sun room area and seated ourselves. Nice area that would definitely be fun when its warmer out with a garage door that opens up. We had a great view of the vineyard and the barn in the back. Overall it was a very pleasant experience and our last stop in Cape May. Would definitely go back to get more wine! read more
I recently had the privilege of visiting this local winery. It was so nice to be greeted by staff who love their business and are passionate about wine. We took a tour of the beautiful grounds, tasting area, and gigantic production facility which was set up for special events. The winemakers described what was currently in the barrels and even gave us a sampling of what wines will be bottled. There was a wide variety of wines for sale to please every palette. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The tasting rooms were decorated beautifully and made you feel instantly welcome. I left with several bottles and will be back again to enjoy a glass of wine in their beautiful tasting rooms. This is a great way to spend the day on your way to the shore. read more
Absolutely stunning winery with great wines! I was in the area with a girlfriend for a wedding, and we decided to do some exploring. We both love wine so this was a logical choice! What a gorgeous location! The inside is just lovely with wine tasting and a cute store and places to sit. Then outside there are a ton more places to sit- there is a hostess stand where you can order wines and get an assigned table.We sat outside at a lovely table in the sunshine. There was live music by a really talented musician, tables of friends and families, kids enjoying their time too, and what looked to be tasty food (we didn't have any food). The wine was so good that we ended up checking a suitcase on the way home so it could come home with us. read more

What a beautiful winery! We stepped in and were greeted right away by a staff member who directed us on where to go for what we wanted (wine). The man tending bar was great! Super friendly and told us all about the wine we ordered. We decided to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine even though it was tiny bit chilly yesterday. It is a nice place and we will absolutely stop by again when we are down the shore. read more

Yeah, it's a chill vibe. They check your ID at the desk so I'm pretty sure they just won't serve her alcohol. I saw a couple children there and my friend said she went when she was underage.
