I walked in looked at the selection and walked out. The food does not look appetizing.its not even Cape Verdeans behind the counter. They have a weird selection of items that don't quiet match. Maybe one day ill work the courage to try it.

I am so so so happy I got my food smells good taste good looks good. This is the best spot to eat at. The employees moves quick knows to how Speak Spanish English and more. They are respectful. 10/10 I would definitely keep on coming to this Mini restaurants. They got sweets that's the best part too. Hands down you should definitely come inside. (Cape Verde Island.tying to find a cv good around anywhere is super hard but I am so happy and my husband found a spot.

Pastels "filled" with tuna and white rice with beef in a medium size

My second time going and the food was still tasteful. I got beef with onions and potatoes with white rice and tuna pastels (2 for $1). Would've given it 5 stars if my pastels were actually filled with tuna

Really good Cape Verdean food at this place

Been here a couple of times and the food has always been good. Had the salmon, pastel, and the seafood spaghetti and it was all good.

The Efo-Riro was a tasty spinach stew a bit similar to collard greens. The Taushe was a delicious peanut stew. The Fufu was a necessary and great addition to both of the stews. The Zobo and Kunu Aya drinks we also got were both refreshing, with the Kunu Aya having a unique, indescribable flavor. Definitely worth a try!

We were promptly seated at our table and the lively wait staff came by to take our drink and food orders. We got the joint sampler with beef samosas which was awesome. The moi moi was great and reminded me of tamales. The wings and samosas were super flavorful as well. The drinks came out when we got our entrees which seemed a bit late. We got the taushe stew with eba (pounded cassava) which reminded me of a cross between Thai peanut sauce and butter chicken. I got the crispy chicken special and asked for the "fire" spiciness level with the plantains and jollof rice. The chicken had great crisp to it and was spicy, but not uncomfortable (although I eat a lot of spicy food so your mileage may vary). The jollof rice had awesome flavor and the plantains were amazing! Definitely recommend coming here, but be prepared to take your time because the service is a little slower than I had hoped.

It was cooked crisp on the outside but when I bit into it, it was so juicy inside. I have no idea how they cooked the fish crunchy and crispy but so moist inside!! Food was well packaged and order was accurate. HOT AND TASTY too. The most important part. I enjoyed every bits and bite of the food I ordered from them. I wish I had gotten two of each of EVERYTHING. I loved every bite of jollof rice and grilled chicken accompanied with the fried plantain. The fried plantain was cooked just right. Although it is supposed to be a deep fried item, it wasn't greasy or under/overseasoned. In fact, every items in the order was seasoned perfectly -- nothing too greasy, too salty, or too sweet. Puff puff was also fresh, light, and tasty. Too bad they don't have an outpost here in LA / OC because I would go there just about every single day. If you are fortunate to be in their delivery / pickup radius, I highly recommend ordering from them. I promise you won't regret it.
