Chicken - this was a little spicy for me, but that's just a personal preference. I could tell that this was well seasoned and people more tolerant to spice would love this - the chicken was still juicy and saucy. This also pairs well with the rice and beans! Plantains - nothing over the top but a nice sweeter bite to balance out the plate. Yummy! Mac n cheese - this was one I wasn't super crazy about - I think a bit more cheese would have been nice here but it wasn't a bad bite. She learned how to cook Jamaican food to remind him of home, which honestly makes the whole place feel even more meaningful. The Filipino dishes I tried were authentic and tasted homemade -- the kind of food that feels like it came straight out of your auntie's kitchen.
