It's 2025 and I just wanna know when does racism stop ! I just left from this liquor store 20 minutes ago and I was racially profiled and disrespected by the OWNER ! The moment I walked in the door a woman asked for my ID which was not a problem and I was not intending on buying anything just accompanying a friend of mine. As we approached the register another young man no older then 18 or 19 walls up with his liquor in hand no one asked for his ID no one asked his age or anything so I proceeded to say so do you just have select people you ID or is it because I'm black and he's white. The owner then proceeded to get in my face and tell me to leave the store and to respect him although I never got loud never got disrespectful or anything ! I am 30 years old and have experienced many many racist situations living in Lewes Delaware but THIS situation was by far the WORST !!! this liquor store is not African American friendly they pick and choose who they want to ID and be respectful to and they will never ever ever again in life get my service although I was a frequent there! read more

One of the best wine selection in the area. The rose is worth the trip. They also have a section of bargain 90 point bottles. In addition they have wine from many different states including some of my favorites from Virginia. read more

Shop elsewhere and save your money. Overpriced product and poor management are what you'll find here. The owner has no idea what he's doing. He doesn't drink and has zero knowledge about anything he sells. $600 for a $70 bottle of bourbon is highway robbery. Stopped there yesterday (June 7,2020) on our way to the beach. The man that opened the store was rude from the get go. When I got to the register I had my 19 yr old son with me to help me carry (I have had 3 back surgeries). While at the register he wanted to card my son. I explained that he was just helping me. Instead of explaining that he wasn't allowed to due to the law, he told my son to leave the store. So, he did. I then wanted to pay for my items and he took them off the counter and set them on the floor and pointed to the next customer (it was very crowded by the way). When I said I still wanted to buy the items, he told me to get out of the store. Standing there shocked and said I didn't understand why I still couldn't buy my items. He then screamed at me to get the F*** out of the store. I just stood there in shock that he was speaking to me like this. He screamed it again to me "I told you to get the F*** out of the store". As I walked out very upset and angry, I said F*** you to him. He then at the top of his lungs screamed "Get the F*** of of my store you C**t"! Who speaks to a customer like that. I understand there is a law and we abided by it by having my son leave. There was NO reason to speak to me like this. Neither myself, my family, or my friends will ever go into that store again. He had also been rude to a young lady who was ahead of me because she was having issues with her debit card. DO NOT SHOP THERE PEOPLE, HE IS VERY DISRESPECTFUL!!! read more

I haven't been here in a while, and now I remember why. I do like the fact that they put Wine Spectator ratings on the shelves. It makes it much easier to pick out varieties you may be unfamiliar with. They do have a good selection of Scotch and bourbon in the case. I purchased a bourbon I was unfamiliar with as a gift for a friend based on a recommendation. However, when I got home I found it online (and in physical stores ads) for $59-92. The price at Cape - $199! Shame on me for not being an educated consumer. Most of the liquor and wine that I do know the prices of are within $1-2 of the local competition, so I didn't even think to cross check. read more

This decent sized liquor store had friendly staff and fair prices on wine and beer. Their selection of liquor was a bit less than I had hoped for (prices were steeper than I had expect as well). With that said, the staff was awesome. Funny, friendly, and knew what they were talking about. In addition to the great staff, they had a fantastic selection of beer at amazing prices. I picked up some Dogfish Head since it was about $15 less per case than where I live. Kick ass! I'd swing by for beer on my next trip through Lewes! read more

Great selection of bourbon. But they think if you put 1/3 of the inventory in glass cabinets you can charge insane prices. They wanted $599.99 for a bottle I recently bought elsewhere for $65. Lots of stuff was at least twice what I've bought it for. read more

As a craft beer fan, I appreciate that they have a pretty decent selection. However, how you treat customers is much more important. Every other year a beer comes out called Sam Adams Utopias. It's very limited and expensive. I regularly purchase my bottle when it comes out from another place in Wilmington for $200 (the going price). I was surprised to see that Cape also had one of the coveted bottles for sale, but for a hefty price of $350! I know it's rare, and I'm sure someone bought it eventually, but gouging a customer when you have something special is no way to earn customers' loyalty. We stopped here and bought a bottle of Ketel One Citroen and a bottle of Jim Beam for our stay in Rehoboth Beach. They certainly have a vast selection of wines and spirits, so if you're looking for alcohol, it's a pretty safe bet you'll find it here. read more

Fabulous store, one of the largest if not in sq footage, then in selection. Everything you need. Love that it is by the light so easy to get in and out with the traffic. I thought the prices were very fair and the staff was courteous and knowledgeable. When you want a wine for a host/hostess gift, you want to bring something nice - not something that the store is trying to get rid of. I have received several suggestions from this store and my gift recipients have always called me to thank me and ask where I got the wine because they want more. read more

Worst place to stop if you're visiting the Delaware beaches! Rude management, employees have no idea what they are doing, and if you want beer, it's old and probably out of date! The wine that was recommended to us by a clueless young Indian guy was terrible. We also wanted to buy some beer, but what they had was so old we ended up going to another store to get it! That's when we found out how outrageous their prices were! I'm going to send e-mails to Dogfish head and some of the other breweries that they are over-charging for, in hopes that they will not be able to get away with this anymore! We have shopped here in past summer visits, but something has changed for the worst, and the knowledgeable employees have obviously jumped ship. Sad. read more

I am a long-time customer. Everyone is very friendly and helpful at this liquor store. They have wine tasting events and they also have very helpful wine ratings posted throughout the store. There are many fine wines to choose from. They have an excellent beer selection as well. Prices are very reasonable and competitive. Excellent wine choices under $15. This is one of my favorite places to shop locally! read more
