This is now my second purchase through Frootbat where the product arrived damaged--and once again, the company refused to make it right. When you're paying premium prices for rare bottles like Blanton's Green Label, you expect the label and box to arrive in collectible condition. Instead, Frootbat continues to ship poorly protected items and then hides behind excuses when something goes wrong. To make matters worse, their shipping is horrendously slow, with no sense of urgency or care. Their website statements promise quality and customer satisfaction, but based on my experience, they simply don't honor those claims. As a collector, here's my warning: Stay away from Frootbat if you care about your bottles arriving in collector-grade condition. If you don't want your expensive, rare bourbon to show up with damaged labels or crushed packaging--and then be told there's nothing they'll do about it--look elsewhere. It is a scam. I ordered a bottle of Oban 18 on November 1st. They immediately charged my credit card. On November 6 I realized they didn't sent it to me. So I emailed them. They politely told me that they don't have it and trying to locate it. So on November 7 they refunded my money on my request. If Frootbat sends you the wrong bottle, expect to be offered multiple small discounts to keep it before they provide a legitimate return option. Be prepared to cover the cost and effort of printing labels, repackaging the item, and driving it to a shipping location yourself. In my experience, meaningful return accommodations were not offered until after I posted a negative review and disputed the charge with my card company. It felt as though the company was more focused on managing reviews than resolving the issue through straightforward customer service. It took six months for a return option to be offered -- and only on the condition that I remove the negative reviews. By this point, I no longer trust the company enough to proceed with the return process. Overall, this was not an acceptable customer experience and required far more time and effort than it ever should have. I would not recommend this company. I'm sharing this so others understand what they may encounter before making a purchase. read more

Just as others have warned, shady reseller. I placed an order for a 2018 Hibiki Anniversary Edition, received a confirmation, credit card was charged, and then I waited. Was not til I reached out and contacted them a week later (in that time I received absolutely zero updates) that they informed me the bottle was no longer available due to the bottle not meeting their quality standards, and instead offered me an entirely different Hibiki edition. I declined only to then notice the same bottle I had originally ordered was still available on their website, but at a $500 higher price point - Horrible experience, and will for sure take my business elsewhere. read more

They say the have a 100% satisfaction guarantee. I ordered a $228 bottle of Blanton's black as a gift for a friend. It was damaged in shipment and leaked in the packaging. I immediately contacted them with pictures and details. They offered a $16 refund to cover the damages. They can keep the $16 dollars. Lots of other options out there. Ordered a bottle of Blanton's Special Reserve from them and couldn't be happier or more satisfied. The price was the best I've seen it so I was anxious but decided to pull the trigger. I ordered the bottle on Saturday afternoon, June 29th, and it arrived today, July 2nd. The bottle arrived in perfect condition. The box was the correct size and it was secured with 2 inflatable bottle bags. There was no leakage or a cracked wax ring. The Blanton's box was folded in with the bottle as well. My lone issue is they didn't include the bag. Not a huge issue since I have many other bags just sitting in a drawer. I hope my further order goes just as well. read more

I would NOT recommend frootbat anymore. I've been a loyal customer for years but after my most recent experience I can't go back. I purchased three bottles (JD 14 and 18 yr redemption x2) for the price they had on their site. My purchase was completed, card charged. Then 8 days go by, the JD shows up but I get email saying the two bottles of redemption rye were priced incorrectly and they can't source them so they will either refund or I can have a credit. With the refund I get 30 days to use a 10% off coupon. Guess what , their system will find a way on fees to get that 10% back so useless and it's capped at $100. Meanwhile I check the site and the redemption I've been waiting 8 days on is advertised for sell but 4 times the price they sold to me! That's terrible customer service!
