My hair done by a different stylist who knows how to cut and highlight

I went in for highlights I asked for a full head to be done. I asked for an experienced stylist. I was brand new to the salon. I found the salon via Yelp reviews. They had me put down a credit card to reserve the appointment. They moved my appointment up, which was not a problem 45 minutes, when I got there, the stylist introduced herself as Brooke. she assessed my Hair said I did not need a full head done for highlights. She said she didn't understand why I was even there. My hair color looked great which it did not it. Three months overdue. I needed a haircut. my hair is a very simple to do. I told her it lifts very quick. She said I only needed partial highlights or partial head of highlights. She seemed what she was doing, but as I was watching, I could tell weaving and grabbing hair, she did not. She didn't put me under any type of heat to help lift the blonde are the bleach which I'm used to sitting under it for about 20 minutes for the last 45 years of getting my hair done. When she took Me to the bowl to rinse out the foil and Hair I'm used to people wiping it thoroughly through to check the color. Make sure it's all the way bleached she did not. She just started rinsing when we got to her chair, she said she didn't like toner it was flat. Oops I missed spot. I have a an Oopsie. She kept saying it's not a big deal. It's just an Oopsie. she tried tried to re-bleach. The spot only left it in for maybe 10 minutes which I wouldn't lift anything then proceeded to roll my hair with a blow dryer. I do not roll my hair with any type of brush. I wear my hair extremely straight and she said I'm gonna cut you dry, cutting dry for me never works, I get the worst hair results in a haircut when you cut me dry, my hair is very fine. I showed her a picture of what I wanted my hair to look like and my haircut then she said are we going to cut your bangs while I'm there for highlights and the haircut a full head of highlights a real haircut and then during the process of doing my hair, she did not, or was not even planning on doing highlights through my bangs which now my bangs look so bad. Its ridiculous. I have never ever had my hair look this poorly and paid over $200. I have to use a curling iron and back comb it hide the huge blotchy mess. There's huge bleach blotches circles. I can't even pull it up into a ponytail It literally looks like my grandchild did my hair.

I found my hair stylist Haley off Instagram a few years back. ( @balayagedbyhaley) Since I have a cosmetology background i'm very picky when it comes to letting people touch my hair. After having many bad experiences in the past. I'm so happy I found someone that I fully trust with my hair. She's fast and consistently gives me flawless results every time. She keeps my hairs health in mind while lightening me and always gives me recommendations on products if I ask. She's so sweet and funny and makes the time go by so fast with all her fun stories! :) The salon itself is gorgeous! The greenery and pink accents are my exact vibe! My bedroom looks like it could go perfectly there haha. All the stylists are dressed fashionable and seem to love what they do! The music is always on point and the overall atmosphere is welcoming and fun! Highly recommend this salon and my stylist Haley! :)

WHEN I SAY RUN AND GO BOOK AN APPOINTMENT WITH BROOKE.... I MEAN RUN!!!!!!!!! She is literally the only person in Las Vegas I trust with my hair! Literally transformed my whole appearance! From the cut, to the color to the freaking extensions!!!!! She is amazing! The salon is also super pretty and super clean!!!!!!!! Literally BLESSED by the BEAUTIFUL BROOKE BENNETT!!!!!

THIS PLACE IS HEAVEN you walk in, aesthetics are AMAZING, it smells good too lol!! my hair stylist's name was Jillian and she is PHENOMENAL!!! I asked to go on a journey of platinum blonde balayage , we cut cut my hair, bleached my hair and did some lowlights as well and she styled it!!! , we went for more of a gray ashy toner mix and i LOVEEE ittttt!! She gave me advice on how to style my hair and keep it healthy and always asked me if it was good for me or if I had questions or concerns and she gave me the best service, she's such a beautiful soul and an amazing person to talk to!

THE PLACE TO GO!!! Hands down in love, Carletta is so responsive and amazing. Her team is a dream, Anahi got my black hair to blonde!!!! and yes, my hair still feels good. I recommend their Balayage, toner, bond and haircut package. I was scared to get my hair done with covid but this experience was safe and comfortable. I'll be referring friends and family to my new favorite spot in Vegas and Hair.

I had a wonderful experience here. I hadn't cut my hair in so long. I finally decided to get layers. I have long thin hair and I was interested in getting layers. I looked up a lot of places and asked around and a friend suggested Alyssa at Capelli. I went it and explained I just wanted a cut and volume and she delivered. Ladies!! Angie Murillo is hands down the best. I've never been disappointed by her. She's extremely knowledgeable, pays great attention to detail, she's honest, sweet, and funny. The list could go on. I've never in my life have gone back to the same hairstylist and so far I've been with Angie for a year. I trust her enough to let her do whatever she wants with my hair. That has happened before and I've never been disappointed. The dimension she brings to the color is amazing. If you want to get on her schedule hit her up now. I make sure to book my appointments with her months in advance because she gets busy. I'm telling you, if you're looking for a hairstylist hit up Angie. The salon is super cute and clean. All the ladies I've met there are all really nice.

A BIG shoutout to KEIRA!!! She was absolutely the BEST!! My two daughters just LOVE her!! Keira is professional and very knowledgeable. I love it here!!!! I had any amazing time. Carina was the one that serviced me and she was so charismatic and fun. I was so grateful that she took me in last minute and that she took my horrible hair situation. And made it absolutely gorgeous. Would recommend anyone that works there. The place is awful! I got the worst haircut I ever had. More over. I made appointment with a branch on Hualapai and when I came I was told they cannot make my haircut, I have to go to another salon. I just have a short hair, nothing special but nobody in that salon could do it!!! Next day I visited salon on Durango and almost fainted when I saw my hair! It looks as a toddler did this absolutely HORRIBLE haircut! This place has to be out if business!!! read more

I recently moved to Las Vegas and have been seeing Carina and love what she does with my hair. My daughter visits often from Tahoe and has very long dark virgin hair and she was toying with the idea of getting highlights. When I say toying with, I mean she changed her mind 30 times before deciding to go for it. ( she loves the feel of her healthy and natural looking hair) once she decided she was nervous but Barbara not only gave her exactly what she asked she toned the highlights so well with my daughters skin tone it brought out her eyes and accentuated her overall look because of the way she lightened and blended the top through the bottom. You could barely even tell she got highlights (which is what my daughter asked for) but her hair not only looks so much better, by the end of summer the highlights will be gorgeous from the sun and beach and will look so natural just like we wanted. I followed Maria S, @colorwithmaria, to this salon last year; it has been the best experience ever! While focusing on color, she goes above and beyond to meet all your hair care goals and expectations even if I choose no color for my treatments. A true professional that can do it all. I can trust her for a trim or do a complete chop because it's always where she says she will cut! There are so many amazing stylists at Capelli but Haley Curnutt is my GO TO STYLIST!! She's so cute and sweet and makes any woman who sits in her chair feel 10x more beautiful. Obviously hair care is an everyday routine and since she can't wash my hair for me daily she recommended the Kevin Murphy repair me shampoo and conditioner along with the young again oil which leaves me tangle free all day. This salon is gorgeous to say the least! It's so close to my home and Downtown Summerlin! My hair has been styled by the amazing Savanah for SIX years as of this fall 2020. I've referred my best friend to her and she does not disappoint! She's worked emergency miracles for me last minute as well as been my venting specialist! I got a full foil & cut from Jillian C. for the second time and I'm obsessed!! She did a wonderful job and is incredibly focused on details. I saw Amy Madden here, my second time seeing her and I couldn't be with more happy with how my hair turned out! Not only is she a great stylist but very sweet and funny too. Best of all, she genuinely listens to what you're looking for and the somehow magically makes it happen. Haley is the first hair stylist that actually listened to me when I said I wanted warmth! In the past I've had people just agree with me and then I end up coming out with ashy blonde at the end. She is so talented and explained everything she was doing which I really appreciate. I'll never go to anyone else! It's been 7 months and my grow out is perfect! Probably going to touch up before the holidays and I couldn't be more excited to be blessed by the hair goddess herself!!! Where to even begin. At first, I found Ashley's page (@goddessofbalayge) on Instagram and quickly fell in love with her work. She reposted one of her coworkers work named Haley Curnutt. (@balayagedbyhaley) As I was scrolling, I found the perfect blonde color I wanted to be. For my first session with Haley we did a full balayage and money piece. I was so impressed with the color we were able to lift to and how silky and shiny my hair still was. For my second session we did a partial balayage, and voila I was the blonde of my dreams. (Keep in mind my natural hair is a level 3-4) Haley is not only professional but she's very friendly too. She has a sense of realness to her that doesn't make it seem like she's only about business. When the time comes for my appointments, it's like I'm visiting a friend the entire time, and it felt like this from our very first encounter. Her prices are affordable, and the results are worth every penny. Since then, I have gone back for trims (I bought clip in extensions and she blended those as well), advice on the latest products to grab, and I had I-tip extensions installed almost 2 weeks ago. I've gone to many hairstylists before, but I have found my hair goddess. I've never gone to someone more than once until I met Haley. To add on, she's a perfectionist when it comes to her work. Trust me when I say she won't let you leave her chair until she is confident that your hair is perfection! Now who could say no to that? Also, I've seen the owner, Carletta, a few times at the salons. She's super friendly and always has a smile when she's talking to her staff and her clients. Sometimes I see her look at her staff's work as they're working and she gives them praise on what they're working on. If I knew how to do hair, I would want to work for her in a heartbeat! I am autistic and I have sensory issues up the wazoo that I can't have people touch me for long periods of time or even (3 seconds sometimes) like a massage, especially my scalp and you can imagine how tense I am if I never get the kinks and tension massaged out. For some reason, Jessica just does it right. I melt into her hands and she gives perfect pressure, she gets all the good spots, and keeps the water warm (if you like it warm). I tend to write more detailed reviews about hair salons because my hair has always been a big deal for me. I have very curly, frizzy, coarse hair that tends to puff up and look much fuller than it actually is. It is definitely not the kind of curly hair that naturally falls into pretty, defined curls. Without blow-drying or straightening, it can get very unruly and hard to manage. I have been dealing with this hair for decades, so I have had more haircuts, blowouts, straightening treatments, and salon visits than I can count. Because of that, I can usually tell when someone really understands how to work with difficult curly hair. I wore short hair when I was younger, but after a bad experience, I avoided it for decades. About six months to a year ago, I decided to try a bob again. At first, I felt like the only way I could really manage it was by getting a straightening treatment about every six months. Since I also color my hair, I did not want to keep combining coloring and chemical straightening because of the damage it can cause over time. I decided to keep coloring my hair and stop the straightening treatments. Once more of my natural curl started growing back, though, the bob became harder and harder for me to manage. I was honestly starting to think I might have to give up on short hair and grow it out again. That was around the time I found this salon. What has impressed me most is how much easier my bob has been to manage since coming here, even without going back to regular straightening treatments. I am not especially skilled at styling my own hair, but after shampooing, I can now blow-dry and straighten it at home much more easily. The cut itself makes a huge difference. It also grows out really well, which is one of the main reasons I keep coming back. -- What really stands out to me is how well Risa listens. -- At every visit, she takes the time to ask how my previous haircut worked for me, what I liked, and whether there is anything I would like to change. I really appreciate that she listens to my feedback instead of simply repeating the same cut. I loved the shape of my last bob, but the back had been cut very short with clippers. Because my hair is coarse and pretty stiff, those very short hairs felt uncomfortable against the back of my neck as they grew out. Since I had not worn my hair this short in decades, I simply did not know my hair would react that way. I mentioned it to Risa, and this time she adjusted the cut and used mainly scissors and thinning shears instead of cutting the back so closely with clippers. I really appreciated that she listened to both what I liked about the previous cut and what I wanted changed. Most importantly, I love my bob again. The shape is clean, balanced, flattering, and very easy for me to manage. I also enjoyed the shampoo service. The brief scalp massage felt really relaxing and refreshing, and the salon itself always has a calm, comfortable atmosphere. My husband had his haircut again too, and his cut came out clean and polished, just like the previous visits. After three visits, it definitely does not feel like we simply got lucky once. The results have been consistently good for both of us. For me, a haircut that grows out well and stays manageable for two or three months, sometimes close to four, is absolutely worth the investment. Being able to maintain my bob this easily without relying on regular straightening treatments makes it even more valuable. That is why I keep coming back, and why I take the time to leave reviews. After our third visit, I feel even more confident recommending Risa.

My "senior stylist," Evelyn, wasn't available until 40 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. During that wait, I was offered water once, but I repeatedly had to ask how much longer it would be because the staff kept saying "soon" without giving me any actual estimate. When the appointment finally started, I showed Evelyn a reference photo and clearly explained my daily hair routine. I told her I don't use styling products, don't heat style my hair, and simply wash it and let it air dry. Instead of cutting my hair to suit that lifestyle, she used texturizing products and spent a significant amount of time styling it. I even mentioned that I would never recreate that styling at home because it isn't part of my routine. The finished haircut looked nothing like the reference photo. At the time, the heavy styling disguised just how bad the cut actually was. The salon gave me a $20 new-client discount, and I specifically told them to apply that amount toward the stylist's tip. Instead, they processed a separate $21.18 tip. While it's not the biggest issue in this experience, it was not what I authorized. The real disaster became apparent after I washed my hair at home. The styling products had been hiding an incredibly poor haircut. The layers are uneven and completely unblended. There are obvious chunks of hair missing, and the entire cut sits lopsided. It is nothing like what I requested or what I was shown in the mirror after it had been heavily styled. I'm now left with a haircut that is genuinely embarrassing to wear and will likely require another stylist to spend months correcting. Between the excessive wait, poor communication, unauthorized tip charge, and one of the worst haircuts I've ever received, this was an incredibly disappointing experience. I absolutely cannot recommend this salon.

COVID POSITVE! An employee tested positive at the hualipai location. The owner is an abomination! A liar. If you are a patriotic do not spend your hard earned money at this business, especially during a pandemic. As an american right I refused the covid test and was fired hence, discrimination.The owner stole my perosnal property, removed them off salon property and tried to get me to pick up my items (2k value) at a gas station. Items were not so carefully thrown in boxes including my shears. Her and her armed husband harrased me nonstop and proceeded to tell stylists that I was crazy while trying to play victim. Smh. She has done this to many other stylists that have reached out to me after the fact, illegally and not one of then has said a damn word. Carletta is not a good woman! I had my roots touched up last week at Capelli Summerlin location , and I couldn't be happier with the experience. My hairdresser, Alexandra, was incredibly patient and detail oriented throughout the entire process. From the moment I sat down, she carefully applied the color section by section, making sure every layer was evenly covered. After letting the color process for about 30 minutes, she thoroughly shampooed my hair, leaving it feeling fresh and clean. The blow-dry was beautifully done, and I was especially impressed that all of my gray hairs were completely covered with a natural, even finish. I tried several different salons, and while some were decent, none of them were consistent. That all changed when I found Kaydence! She has been doing my hair for about a year now, and she is so incredible that I even followed her from the Centennial location. Kaydence consistently does an amazing job with both my color and cut. I get so many compliments on how healthy and shiny my hair looks now! Highly recommend!

I gave it a couple of days and tried different ways to wear it but when the primer wore off and I was left with roots that were not the color they are supposed to be I decided to send her a text. No response....... Then 4 or 5 days after that I thought maybe she didn't get it so I left a message. I still haven't received any response whatsoever. I am very disappointed. When I was booking the appointment she responded right away and now not even an acknowledgement.
