I would give them 10 stars if I could!!! I came into town for a short business trip, and had a water bottle leakage in my purse. After soaking up water for a few hours, my HP Elite X2 no longer powered up. I frantically searched on Yelp and found this place with perfect reviews, and decided to give it a try. After a FREE diagnosis, Zach told me the computer was damaged beyond help, but he could get my data backed up for a very reasonable fee. He also recommended an external hard drive which was not only competitively priced, but also highly rated on Amazon. By the end of the day, I had a replacement laptop ordered for next-day delivery, a sleek new hard drive, and peace of mind knowing that all my photos, files and data were saved. The next day, I returned to California and was back to full functionality after reloading data from the hard drive. I've used Capital City Computers three times now for help with (stupid me) repairs and it's become my go to place to ask for tech help. First time was for a cracked phone screen which they did on a Saturday right before close so I wouldn't have to wait until Monday. The next time, I brought tablets from my classroom that had been damaged and they were honest that whole they could fix them, it would be cheaper to replace them. He was extremely detailed in explaining the issue I was having with my iPhone 7 which made it inoperable as an actual phone (a known issue by Apple, but one Apple is not telling customers about or taking responsibility). He was able to do quick diagnostics to confirm the problem and fixed it quickly for a fraction of the cost Apple was going to charge me. He then went above and beyond that by explaining Apple's photo storage to me and walking me through how to view my photos on a PC. Had a great experience with this group. I had a broken laptop screen and mount. The looked it over for free (no diagnostic fees), and gave me two options on how to fix it (new screen and they repair the mount or whole new upper half of the laptop). They did a great job fixing my iPad for me! Though, there is a tiny bit of detailing error when trying to place a new screen. The front facing camera almost looks like its being covered, and the screen if just slightly off. Not to worry! I was considering replacing my four-year-old MacBook Pro Retina, which I originally paid a heck of a lot of, when Zach told me he could replace the entire keyboard, track pad and battery for a steal of a price (under $300--much lower than Apple could, and that included labor). I was sold. I'm sorry to say this, but every review that I see on, by people that I feel have been in 3C's little front for some time, I myself was stiffed out of almost $600 to work on two laptops and to buy another one, that at first had miner problems to them, My girlfriend and I got them back with more problems added to them, For example, my Lenovo thinkpad laptop, needed a new screen, so took it in to get it repaired, bought another, for good measure, Well I get my Lenovo back today, and the screen is fixed, but the hard-drive was no longer useable, they said there was a virus on it, Not true, when I sent it in there was barely nothing on it but a few games. Now my girlfriends laptop dvd-drive didn't work anymore after a few movies were played on it, so after several months of using a usb dvd-drive we sent there to get it worked on, fixed, then they said it's running slow because of all the photos and games she has on her laptop, here is the problem with that story, she has the same games on hers too! Plus to make matters worse they let some random person that isn't a customer sit in the shop as long as he wants, if I know the law like I claim, that is trespassing, by law is known as criminal trespassing, regardless if the guy isn't causing problems, if he isn't buying a computer, laptop, getting one of the two fixed it's criminal trespassing.
