I've visited other Capital One Cafés before and generally enjoyed the experience, but this particular location could use some improvement--especially when it comes to service. When I approached the counter to place my order, the staff member didn't greet me or offer a friendly opening like "How can I help you?" or "What can I get started for you?" Instead, they just stared, waiting for me to speak. It felt awkward and a bit unwelcoming--basic customer service really goes a long way, even during slower hours. To be fair, someone did greet us when we entered the café, though I'm not sure if it was another staff member or the Capital One Ambassador. One consistent issue I've run into (not just at this location) is that they're frequently out of ingredients for the Honey Lavender Latte, which is frustrating. It's clearly a popular drink, so it's disappointing to find it unavailable--even when arriving early in the day. If it's regularly featured, it should be regularly stocked. That said, the space itself is great--plenty of seating, spacious tables, and private rooms make it ideal for studying or working. It's also relatively quiet, which I appreciate. However, the food options are overpriced and underwhelming. Overall, the café still offers a comfortable environment, but the customer service, inventory consistency, and food offerings could definitely be improved to match the potential of the space.

Very nice place to study and get a coffee! I impressed by how good this coffee place is. They have lots of table, chess games and conference rooms and if you have an account with capital one you get 50% off the beverages and service was very friendly

Some friends visited town and we went to the galleria. They wanted a drink so we went to the capital one cafe. There was a guy giving out coupons for a free drink from the cafe so I tried their matcha latte. I didn't know that it comes unsweetened unless you specify. The staff asked me if I wanted to add any sweeteners but I thought they meant in addition. The matcha latte was kinda mid to me. Adding cane sugar packets couldn't save it.

Looking for a comfortable space to relax, refuel, or get some work done? Well, look no further because there's Capital One Cafe inside the Houston Galleria just a few shops down from Apple! This was the perfect recharge for me after some retail therapy. They serve Verve Coffee and a small food menu, with cardholder discounts and specials every now and then. Great thing to know- you don't have to be a cardholder to enjoy the cafe. There are ambassadors there to help answer any questions if you'd please, but other than that they let you stay and do your thing. There are many work spaces/nooks to choose from, some more open than others, and they have free WiFi. This casual cafe always has great drinks to enjoy and cool events including stuff like celebration of summer solstice. They have several seating areas with both booths and tables, good for a solo outing or a small group. I believe you can also book ahead and reserve a space for events in one of their meeting rooms if you're a non-profit, student, or alumni organization. The summer drinks are so refreshing! I've always been a fan of their matcha latte and cold brew, but the summer drinks are so refreshing. I tried the Creamsicle Spritz and the sweetened citrus creme with the sparkling water was thirst quenching. There's also the Citrus Creme Flash Brew and Valencia Shakerato on the special summer menu. I've never had their food items so I cannot attest to that, but do find myself back in this cafe whenever I'm at the mall.

Standard capital one cafe: nice staff and games for kids. Good WiFi and working areas. Just note that because it's in a mall, parking is a hike if you're looking only to go to the cafe. Matcha was great, about $3.50 after the discount. Bathrooms available also.

Vanilla Chai Tea HOT!!!!! 10/10 recommended Clean, neat, and spacious! Friendly staff and enviting atmosphere. Offering free cups when you speak to an ambassador (while supplies last).... Great surprise while on a business trip, my favorite Tea shop

A cozy little cafe on the second floor of the Galleria mall, it's located where the Microsoft store used to reside. It is very obviously owned by Capitol One and if you have a Capitol One card and pay with it, you get 50% off your order! That is a pretty good lure, haha... Love the atmosphere and it doesn't get the long lines like other coffee chains I won't mention by name here. I went on a Tuesday night on a whim while passing by and it was quiet with a few seated patrons. There are seats and tables throughout the space and was overall very welcoming and clean. The bank does do some business there but the cafe itself seemed to be the main thing. They do offer a few baked goods along with drinks - tea, coffee, juices/lemonades - of the simpler sort, though they do have seasonal flavors. They exclusively serve Peet's Coffee. I wanted to get the brown sugar matcha drink but their ice maker was having problems so I opted for the chai latte. I got a large, no ice and paid around $7... so not exactly cheap - if you have a Capitol One card, use it! Once I got the drink after a short period of waiting, I noticed they used a powder mix and it wasn't shaken very well. At all. Perhaps because there were no ice cubes to mix with? I could have mixed up some chai latte powder into milk at home as well. Needless to say, I think it's overpriced and mediocre in taste. HOWEVER, it is a nice "little" place and they do have clean restrooms - 2 separate, unisex rooms. I do hope to return and try the matcha I originally had my eye on. There was one lady who was doing it all herself, so kudos to her! But maybe get a blender bottle and shake it in that next time. NOTE: they'll be having a $1 happy hour after Christmas, regardless of whether or not you have a CO card. :)

After a long afternoon of shopping in the Galleria mall we accidentally stumbled upon this gem of a coffee lounge located near the Apple Store. Comfortable chairs, a beautiful setting with a chill vibe is exactly what you need to rest your weary feet. Upon entering this gorgeous coffee lounge, I was immediately struck by the trendy and modern decor. The walls were adorned with unique artwork, and the seating area was comfortable and spacious. Wait until you see the bathrooms. 5 Stars in cleanliness and experience. The real star of the show was the coffee that we ordered. We ordered two iced lattes and was impressed by the barista's attention to detail in producing a smooth, rich latte. Don't know if we were just thirsty and need a caffeine boost but we've had numerous lattes from the Starbucks locations in the mall and never been this impressed. In addition to the delicious latte, the lounge also offered a variety of fresh pastries that looked absolutely mouthwatering. I'll definitely have to come back and try some of the food on my next visit. Overall, I was extremely impressed with the vibe of the Capital One Lounge and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great cup of coffee in a trendy setting. Whether you're looking for a quick pick-me-up or a place to relax and unwind, this lounge is definitely worth checking out. PRO TIP: You don't have to be a Capital One member to visit and hang out in this lounge.

Peet's Coffee! Oh, yeah. Skip the Starbucks' line madness and enjoy better coffee in a nice comfy cafe.

Note: You can't just swing by; must make an appointment or you will be quickly greeted by armed gunmen (smiles). Here's what we learned: 1. Super technically, Houston does not have a Federal Reserve Bank. We are a branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. There are a total of twelve (12) FRB's nationwide. 2. "The Federal Reserve is both public and private." It's a public government entity when it serves their interest, and private when it does not. To that effect, there's approximately 19K employees in the Federal Reserve System. The DC office is part of the government. The seven Governors (appointed by the President and confirmed by the Senate) and their staff are on the government payroll. The remaining employees in Districts 1-12 are paid privately by the Bank in their District. Example: The Houston Branch is located in the 11th District, so all employees are paid by the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. 3. EVERY BANK operating in the US must allocate a percentage of monies to the Federal Reserve. 4. The Federal Reserve System "earned seventy eight (78) billion dollars in revenue last year." 5. The Fed counts coins as an assest, but not paper currency (cash), which they consider a liability. Just think about that for a minute. Every lender considers cash an asset, but not the Federal Reserve. WOW! The Fed know it's not worth the paper it's printed on! 6. The Federal Reserve does not print money, they manage the money (as in all of it). "We are The Bank for banks." The Department of Treasury prints and mints money. DC and Fort Worth are the only two locations that print money in the US. 7. The Federal Reserve, specifically the Chair, controls interest rates. 8. Bank Examinations are routinely conducted by the Federal Reserve employees. A review of records, policies, and procedures, with an emphasis on examining collateralized loans. 9. The Houston Branch has approximately seventeen (17) billion dollars in cash, in the vault. We watched, through a large clear window (10 feet away ), employees processing, then bundling hundred dollar bills. I observed ninety (90) million dollars in one room. Photographs of that area were strictly prohibited. 10. The Houston Branch processes about twenty five (25) million dollars per week. Approx. 150 counterfeit bills are identified, then handed over to the Secret Service. *The Secret Service has two primary duties: a) Protect the President and visiting foreign leaders, and b) investigate counterfeiting. 11. The Houston Branch shreds sixteen large columns of paper currency every day. That translates into eight hundred (800) notes per day. *waste management company collects the shredded currency, then hauls it to a local landfill. **free samples given at the conclusion of tour. Summary: 1. Of the fourteen (14) Federal Reserve chairmen, eight (8) have been Jews. This equates to 53%. The Jewish population in the US is 2%. *Jewish population by state: http://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jsource/US-Israel/usjewpop.html 2. The Federal Reserve was created on December 23, 1913, just before Christmas when most members of Congress were on vacation. IT WAS A MIDNIGHT ACT OF TREASON!

I was in the market for a vehicle and looked into various auto loan interest rates. My dad told me about Shell FCU because they advertise it on 740 KTRH (am radio). I called two other credit unions before deciding on Shell FCU. They had the best rates. I looked up the nearest location to the dealership and found this Wilson Rd. branch. I walked right in, checked in with the friendly receptionist and told her I wanted to be a member and apply for an auto loan. You have to live or work in Harris County and open an account (can be as little as $5 for a savings account) to be a member. She asked for two forms of ID which can be your driver's license and a major credit card with your name. She checked me in, and I waited in the waiting area. There's a TV that shows where you are in line. Since I was at the dealership for hours, it was nice to see that they made fresh popcorn. When I was a kid, my parents used to bank somewhere that also served popcorn. It was nostalgic, not to mention, tasty. I think they have popcorn on Fridays. Aside from that, there's a coffee/hot chocolate maker. I came in about 45 minutes before closing. I was not rushed at all. Madison, the Branch Lead, was so personable and patient. She took her time to obtain all the information needed and was thorough to make sure the underwriters reviewing the auto loan information had everything they needed. Since she wasn't going to be in the next day, she had an associate, Luz, who would assist me. After I completed the auto loan, Madison walked me to the teller to make a deposit. The receptionist unlocked the doors for us when leaving. I returned the next day to meet with Luz to finalize the auto loan. Luz answered all my emails in a timely manner in the morning before I got there and also contacted the dealership for additional info on my behalf. She was also friendly and explained to me what the costs would be when I asked about gap and extended warranty. Shell FCU has the best rates. I wish this branch was closer to where I live or the staff worked in the Spring location because all of the staff are friendly and helpful. It was such a seamless process. I would go out of my way off the beltway just for their excellent customer service.

Why did I have to ask for a deposit to be made before 5??? I only come here because it's close but at times I do try to stop at other locations because I work hard for my money .
