I've been to Jade's Tea House a few times. It's a cute and small shop, and the workers are nice. For the drinks, you can choose from a wide variety of smoothies/slushies, teas, coffees, and customize them with your preferred toppings and preferences. They also serve snacks, banh mi, and rice vermicelli bowls. My go-to drink here is the Jade's Milk Tea, which has just the perfect amount of tea flavors and freshness. I've also had the mango smoothie and the strawberry milk tea, but their flavors were pretty bland. For the food, I've had the sandwiches and vermicelli bowls, which were not bad but not the best. I stopped by here for a drink with my brother and girlfriend while we were shopping nearby. It's a cozy little place with teas, smoothies and some viet food options too. We only opted for drinks, and I wasn't too impressed. I went with a smoothie. It tasted fine, but not as fresh as others I've had. The mango flavor wasnt as strong as I hoped, and the vanilla flavor tasted very artificial. My husband and I are on a mission to find the best Mango Green Tea boba in Houston! Naturally, that led us to try out Jade's Tea House for the first time. We both ordered the Mango Green Tea with less ice, although mine was 50% sugar with Mango Jelly and his was 25% sugar with Mango Popping Boba. BOTH of these drinks tasted as if they had 0% sugar... and, at the very least, they shouldn't have tasted the same as they were supposed to have different levels of sugar, which would produce a slightly different flavor. Additionally, the tea tasted a bit watered down from the very beginning, which wasn't pleasant. Our results: not sweet enough nor tasty enough to warrant a return. I was in the mood for a refreshing tea today and decided to try Jade's Tea House just a few doors down from Boudreaux's on West Loop. This quaint little place offered a good selection of drinks and food, but I had one thing in mind, a Lavendar Milk Tea and it did not disappoint. This tea house offered a selection of toppings for the drink, I'm not a Boba lover, but I did try the Strawberry Pop, which were little juice filled balls, to go in my drink. I loved them! Not many people were in the restaurant so I received my order promptly. Service was quick and friendly. For just a little over $6, it was a delicious treat to have. I will definitely be back. A quality boba tea shop that is somewhat masked by the gigantic I-610/69 interchange nearby. I was looking for a place to kill the time for several hours before my next activity and found a lovely 20% off coupon for checking in here. I ordered a strawberry smoothie which tasted pretty standard. The boba had a slightly sticky texture to it which I enjoyed. High table seating is a little clumped together and can feel awkward sitting so close back-to-back with strangers. I opted for the regular table in the corner but it would wobble if you didn't apply enough pressure. However, the chairs for the regular table had decent support and I had no problem sitting in them for hours. Very friendly staff, I didn't feel rushed. read more

Signature fruit tea I get it at least once a week. It has peach slices, citrus jam, strawberry pieces. Absolutely amazing if you like fruit tea. Let me start off by saying, it is so hard to find a good boba spot in downtown Houston. I'm also very picky with my boba and I don't like a lot of chains like feng cha or Kung Fu Tea, which are the closest ones to me. - Matcha Cream Tea (4/5): Both my friend and I got the matcha cream tea. My friend is vegan and was able to substitute dairy milk with oat milk. The matcha cream tea tasted just like green Thai tea and had that distinctive South Asian matcha flavor, which is more floral than Japanese matcha. Before ordering I had asked the worker what the differences between the three matcha drinks they had on the menu were, so I already knew that the matcha cream tea wasn't going to taste like traditional Japanese matcha. I enjoyed the taste and can compare it to 7 leaves' green Thai tea. This will probably be my new favorite go to spot for boba in downtown. Service/ambiance: Amazing service! This is one of those places where you just need a quick boba craving satisfied and not anything fancy. Just a lowkey place where you go to and grab a boba drink. so far I've only tried their Jasmine MT and its been good each time. They do have a point system where after 10 drinks you get one free. I went to Jade's Tea House maybe about an hour or so before closing so there went many patrons inside. The one thing I liked was that the menu was diverse. There was a good variety of items to choose from. I ended up getting the banana smoothie and strawberry milk tea with boba. The strawberry Milk tea wasn't my favorite. It had a floral-esque artificial strawberry flavor that didn't compliment the tea. The banana smoothie was great! Would order again. It was smooth and not overly sweet. Would be nice if avocado was added. The restaurant isn't huge but there enough seating. There's a comic book theme which is nice. I drink tea all around town but I have now designated this spot as my all time favorite "Signature Fruit Tea" spot. The fruit tea has everything from real lychee to small pieces of orange peel. I'm only giving this 1 star because the dumplings are good. My "matcha" was brown, I don't know what matcha you use but it's bad. Also I should add that your photos are fake and look nothing like real life. Stopped by Jade for a rose green tea. Parking was easy. It's in the same shopping center as Boudreaux's. They have tons of great tea and smoothie options. Boba, no boba, green tea, milk tea, fruit teas, slushees. They've even got snacks if u need something to munch on. I got my tea to-go but there were free wifi signs as well for those who stay to sip & chill. Really friendly though, and well worth a visit. Not nearly as busy as they deserve to be. There are much less impressive Boba shops with 10 times as many visitors, which makes me sad. It's a lovely little place with lovely employees and even though it's not my favorite place for Bubble Tea in town we will still go back here often enough to try various different products. Perhaps the best thing about the place other than the awesome employees is the spectacular decor. It's definitely a haven for people who are nerds and who love movies and all that good stuff. The reason I bumped it from 4 to 5 is not because of 5 star drinks, but because they're friendly, with lovely decor, and always so quiet when we come here, and I want them to do well and get the love they deserve. If they allowed you to switch your crappy bubble tea for a good one, it'd be Trades Tea Lounge. Actually they probably do. I'm pretty much a Bubble Tea snob. I love the stuff too much and my waistline proves it. Houston has some of the best options anywhere, from the elusive international chains (Sharetea's Okinawa Milk Tea omg) to the stellar local chains (Teahouse yummm) and the little local places (Tapioca Place and their Lychee Peachy and so on, yum), so it's hard for me to give 5 stars out for Bubble Tea since I'm always comparing it to my absolute faves. If they used crappy processed juices for their teas it'd be Minute Maid's Tea Lounge. Jade definitely scores a solid four stars. There's nothing wrong with it, in fact both the milk and fruit teas taste pretty decent. It's a nice little place and it was wonderful of them (great service!) to serve us so close to closing time. I have no complaints at all, and there's not even a ton of bubble tea in this part of town, so it's super cool that it's here. If they gave out money for 5-star reviews, it'd be Paid's Tea Lounge. Pleasantly surprised by food portion sizes. Usually cafes will overcharge on snacks. The BBQ sandwich is basically a small meal or huge snack. Eggrolls are cheaper than they would be at a Vietnamese restaurant. Tea was good. Every boba place has slightly different levels of sweetness, especially for the medium levels. Both my 30% drink and the tapioca itself were less sweet than I'm used to, at least compared to many other stores. Not a plus or minus, just an fyi to future customers. Maybe get 50% if you normally get 30%. Service was great and respectful. Music is pretty chill and not intrusive. I totally recommend this place and would come again. read more

When I first entered Jades Teahouse, immediately it felt very comforting and I felt at home. The overall establishment had a good ambiance, very cozy place to study and take a break. I ordered the jades milk tea and the pork BBQ sandwich. Amazing! It wasn't too crunchy and you can also add an egg on top for a little extra which completes the meal. Any of their milk teas is fantastic! I could order anything and it would be good, from popcorn chicken to even sesame balls. Anything here is a guaranteed yes from me. Stopped by here on Sunday after dropping my dog off at PetSmart for an overnight stay. I bought the matcha milk tea (size small) with yogurt pearls. I was sooooooo good. The pearls were great too but a little too sweet. The next day when I picked up my dog I stopped by again and bought a large matcha milk tea with no tapioca. It was great. This has to be one of my favorite matchas. The inside of Jade's is very clean, cozy, and cute. Both times I went it was right after they had opened so it wasn't busy at all. Just how I like it. I was able to ask questions (friendly staff) and try samples of their sinkers. I will return to Jade's to try some more of their drinks however the matcha will have to be purchased as well. read more

If you are looking for really creamy and sweet milk tea, then I have found the place for you! This is a cozy boba shop that's great to hang out at with some friends. They have a long menu so there's something for everyone. There were so many choices and I wanted to try a little bit of everything. The cashier told me they were doing a buy 2 get 1 free deal so if I wanted to try out different things I could do that. Um, yes! I got the regular milk tea with boba, the cookies & cream milk tea, and the honeydew milk tea with lychee jelly. The drinks didn't take long to come out. This has to be one of the best classic milk teas I've had. It was my 2 favorite things-- sweet and creamy! Seriously, if I lived closer this would be my new go-to tea place. Went for a tried and true milk tea here, half sweet, less ice, and crystal tapioca. I could have gone even less sweet but everything else about the drink was just right. Good prices for the area and very convenient. Service is on point and it was quiet this Friday night, making for a speedy experience. We are always in the area to go to Home Depot or the Houston Garden Center and have passed Jade's Tea House a bunch of times - every single time we drive by, they are always closed, maybe due to Covid? We passed it this past weekend and they were finally open, so we decided to stop by for a drink cause I was feeling a bit thirsty! There was one other group ahead of us but we ordered straight away. I got the passion fruit slush with boba and the bf got the Jade's milk tea (less less sweet - about 25%, and more tea, less milk). We always have to specify how we want it cause milk teas always seem to have a ton of sugar, more so than is needed. They took awhile to make our drinks - I would say they are slower than most places, but there was only 1 lady making drinks and a man cooking up some snacks/food in the back. My passion fruit slush was as expected, icy, flavorful and sweet. The boba was a bit overdone to my liking though. The bf's milk tea was ok - it came out still super light in color and still fairly sweet. Didn't notice the addition of 'more tea', but maybe the tea they use is just super light. The tea is premade in a pitcher, already stored in the fridge. It wasn't my favorite milk tea places in Houston but it was definitely ok by all means.
