The 50% off discount draws you in, but is it a deal when the price is equal to a regular coffee elsewhere? A cold foam coffee and breakfast club sandwich for $15. It's hard to tell if a discount is applied when there's no prices displayed on the menu. The breakfast club on a croissant bun was delicious, but the cold foam coffee wasn't the best. Restrooms weren't well kept and the place gets busy. I'd say it's a good place to charge your phone though, lots of outlets.

I love Capital One Café!! The staff is always super welcoming, and it's a great spot to hang out or study. Insider tip: my favorite drink is the matcha lemonade. It's not on the displayed menu, but it's part of their menu on the register (aka secret menu). It's So good. All drinks are half off with a capital one card!! There are lots of coupons online for free drinks, which is a nice bonus. I also really like the booths, and the back rooms are great for studying or meetings. UTSA clubs can even rent them out. Won their December season special where they hide a "Little Capital One Guy" around the store and first person to find it gets to keep him! Super fun Overall, comfy vibe, friendly people, and solid drinks.

What a great find! Had not been to La Cantera mall in a minute, and had never been I this store front. Very pleased! Comfortable, quiet, and clean. Helpful staff and great coffee. Even got a big discount on coffee by using my Capital One credit card. Cha-Ching! Stop in here and check it out- worth the trip!

I have been dying to go to one of the capital one cafe's ever since I got my capital one debit card many years ago. It is a bit far from me, but I decided to make the trip for a change in scenery while studying. As soon as I walked in, I knew that I was in a good spot for some studying and great coffee. Coffee shops are so expensive these days, so I was happy to use my debit card for 50% off handcrafted drinks. I started with the smores shakerato. It was very good but didn't taste at all like smores to me. It was sweet but not overly sweet. I also got the sparkling lemonade for my partner which was pretty good but nothing special. Now the Strawberry Cold Foam Matcha was the best drink by far. The matcha flavor was very present and balanced well with the strawberry cold foam. It also wasn't extremely sweet which I enjoyed. The staff was very friendly. I would say the wait for beverages just depends on how busy it is. My first round of drinks took about 8 minutes but the last round was ready by the time I sat back down. There's plenty of seating available. Initially we were in the common area which was very spacious and had appropriate sound levels. Good for studying and having a conversation. We ended up reserving a private space which was very nice. The reservation can be up to 2 hours long. Things took a turn for me when I visited the bathroom. The toilet paper wasn't very well replenished with just one roll hanging out on top of the railing. The soap dispenser also wasn't working and no paper towels were available. There was also a lot of water and toilet tissue on the floor. Overall it's a great place to study, chill while shopping at La Cantera, or could even be a chill date spot. Just watch out for the restrooms!

big fan of this location because of the space (very large and spacious). It was very busy but still found good seats. The season menu is great! I really enjoyed my coffee. They close pretty late and the location in the mall is just fab when you want a quick study break to do some retail therapy. It gets a 5/5 for me and I will be back!

Super friendly and with great coffee and drinks! We walked in and were immediately greeted by staff and invited to participate in a free tour. They showed us the rooms and spaces available for free seating and booking through the capital one app. Discover and capital one card holders get an extra savings on ordered drinks. The space is so comfortable and clean.

Love coming here when at the mall! Place is comfortable and friendly. Food is fresh and drinks are delicious. There is space for work or to just relax!

Basically got a great coffee for half off! The coffee was good. I got their signature lavender latte and it was not overly sweet .I did add an extra shot. It took a while for the drinks to come out. The yogurt parfait ahead of us looked really good. Plenty of space to work and they even have nooks to rent for studying or working!

It was a great study spot. Lots of natural lighting and cute open space. They had an event going on and gave us free pastries as well. They said they hold events often but I'm not sure when. The service was great and the coffee wasn't the best I had but pretty good. It was cheap with a capitol one card (half off).

So far best experience ever Starting their customer service is excellent Their handcrafted drinks such as a coffee and their food is subpar they offer on certain days a discount on drinks for cardholders Their accessible ATM makes things easier and they help if you have any issues They have free WIFI for cardholders and their restrooms are super clean

Shard of glass in my matcha drink
    Elena M.

I went today to this location and ended up in the ER. I ordered an iced matcha latte and I was drinking it while shopping then felt something hard in my mouth so of course I go to take a look and it is a shard of GLASS. I then feel as if there is some in my throat so I rush to the ER, on my way I call the store number that is listed on Google and here on Yelp and it redirects me to the 1-800 number, when they answer they have me wait forever through an automated prompt and when I finally can get to a representative I have to explain how I was trying to call the location because I found glass in my drink then the representative goes on to tell me that I need to go in to the location and tell the manager... I don't see anywhere online how to get in contact with this location and I really did not want anyone else to get a glassy drink. We spent our night in the ER a good 5 hours and my throat and tongue are still hurting!

Horribly slow. One barista. 20 min wait for americanos. Two small americanos and a rice krispy treat for $16.

I was so happy they offered it as I can't find it offered in the area and they don't have any Peet's Coffee Cafes in San Antonio.

There are plenty of tables to work or study at, including some shaded seating outside. I originally ordered the Saltburn Matcha, but it was a little too sweet for my liking. I asked if they could remake it into just an agave matcha with oat milk, and they did without hesitation. Everyone was super sweet and accommodating about it. My boyfriend ordered the Butterbeer Shaken Espresso and it was sooo good! Overall, the service was a 10/10, even with my drink remake. I'd definitely come back here again to study or just hang out for a bit!

Oh, to be a resident living above a coffee shop. What a dream... Anyway, Thirty Grind was the next coffee shop to cross off my list to try and rate their cortado. In addition to that, I ordered an Italian Cake Latte (iced, at the barista's recommendation) and a coffee cake (heated up, also at the barista's recommendation). The cortado was not my favorite. It had a bit of a burnt taste to it and finishing it was a little bit of a struggle. The Italian Cake Latte's foam tasted literally like Italian Cake! The desiccated coconut was a little weird to suck up through my straw, though. But after I mixed the drink the flavors were very, very good. In hindsight, I probably should have ordered it hot. The coffee cake was sweet with a nice crispy crumble topping. The layer in the middle tasted luxurious, like straight up creamed sugar and butter with a hit of cinnamon. Incidentally, it paired well with the cortado and made it more palatable. Staff was incredibly friendly and warm. I arrived to the shop rather early and by the time I left the shop was beginning to fill up, so I'm happy to see this spot seems to have its regulars who like to park and work on their laptops and just meet up for a catch-up. I can see folks shopping in the area taking a break here to duck in for a quiet moment, and I can also see the folks living here dropping in on the regular. Seems like what they have going for them is working for them.

Bucky and I made the drive to the HEB Plus and found the truck. Interestingly enough, they operate kinda like a drive-thru, but they accept walk-ups, too. Immediately after I pulled up, they saw Bucky and offered him a pup cup. I didn't even have to ask! The cooed and fawned over him as they saw him enjoy it in my back seat. For myself, I got the cortado and I asked for a recommendation. She suggested a Tres Leches cold brew with cinnamon. Right on - I went ahead and ordered it. The cortado was ver nice, with minimal paper cup flavor. It was smooth with a roasted flavor, and a nice, creamy viscosity. A pretty good, respectable cortado. The Tres Leches cold brew reminds me of merienda with my family in Brownsville, despite us usually not having cold coffee - haha. But the flavors were delicious. The coffee was strong, but still had that "flavored latte" taste I tend to enjoy on a hot day. That tres leches foam is truly a delight. If I lived closer, I'd probably be here every day they're open. However, now that I know that they're really good, I may have to make some frequent stops.
