What initially brought me in was **MLB Mondays**, which offer complimentary drinks--a fun perk that introduced me to the space. I'm glad it did because I ended up loving the atmosphere. Even when it's busy, it never feels loud or chaotic. It's the kind of place where you can focus, study, read, work remotely, or simply enjoy a good cup of coffee. The seating options are another highlight. Whether you prefer traditional tables and chairs, comfortable lounge seating, cozy benches, or smaller tables for solo work, there's a spot for everyone. They also have three reservable conference rooms, which are perfect if you need a private space for meetings or focused work. I was also impressed by the self-service cashier's check kiosk. Being able to request and print a cashier's check directly from the app is a convenient feature you don't see at most banks. The café regularly offers freebies and member perks, which definitely add value. While I found the food to be a little pricey for my taste, the drink prices were much more reasonable. Overall, I love the concept--it's part bank, part coffee shop, and completely inviting. Whether you're taking care of financial business, meeting friends, getting work done, or just looking for a comfortable place to relax, the Capital One Café is a space I'd happily return to. My wife and I stopped by Capital One Café this past Monday, and we really enjoyed it. It was pretty busy, which is understandable, and being so close to UTSA, you can definitely tell it's a popular spot for college students. The customer service was very welcoming, and the atmosphere was cozy. It was a little loud for me personally, but hey, it's a busy coffee shop, so I can manage. Now, what really brought us here was the coffee. I tried the Tropical Mocha, and it was fantastic--strong, flavorful, and definitely had the right amount of caffeine. My wife tried the Blueberry Matcha Latte, and that was delicious as well. They're also running Free Coffee Mondays through September 5th with the Capital One app, which is a pretty cool bonus. Overall, I definitely recommend giving Capital One Café a shot if you're in the area. Great customer service, comfortable environment, and most importantly for me--the coffee is damn good. read more

A great coffeehouse vibe just like the other Capital One Cafes! I can only compare this to the Houston-Galleria location, they are very good and have wonderful people taking care of you. The drinks (thanks to MLB Mondays!) are superb and they take care of you very well. I would advise you to go early on those promtion days to make sure they have the drink you want them to make. When I went, they were out of Matcha and Caramel, wowzers! Be aware of the early close time too, cause they usually close around 7pm. I would also come by to visit their location for the other freebies and giveaways during different times of the year. The 50% off discount draws you in, but is it a deal when the price is equal to a regular coffee elsewhere? A cold foam coffee and breakfast club sandwich for $15. It's hard to tell if a discount is applied when there's no prices displayed on the menu. The breakfast club on a croissant bun was delicious, but the cold foam coffee wasn't the best. Restrooms weren't well kept and the place gets busy. I'd say it's a good place to charge your phone though, lots of outlets. read more

I love Capital One Café!! The staff is always super welcoming, and it's a great spot to hang out or study. Insider tip: my favorite drink is the matcha lemonade. It's not on the displayed menu, but it's part of their menu on the register (aka secret menu). It's So good. All drinks are half off with a capital one card!! There are lots of coupons online for free drinks, which is a nice bonus. I also really like the booths, and the back rooms are great for studying or meetings. UTSA clubs can even rent them out. I have been dying to go to one of the capital one cafe's ever since I got my capital one debit card many years ago. It is a bit far from me, but I decided to make the trip for a change in scenery while studying. As soon as I walked in, I knew that I was in a good spot for some studying and great coffee. Coffee shops are so expensive these days, so I was happy to use my debit card for 50% off handcrafted drinks. I started with the smores shakerato. It was very good but didn't taste at all like smores to me. It was sweet but not overly sweet. I also got the sparkling lemonade for my partner which was pretty good but nothing special. Now the Strawberry Cold Foam Matcha was the best drink by far. The matcha flavor was very present and balanced well with the strawberry cold foam. It also wasn't extremely sweet which I enjoyed. The staff was very friendly. I would say the wait for beverages just depends on how busy it is. My first round of drinks took about 8 minutes but the last round was ready by the time I sat back down. There's plenty of seating available. Initially we were in the common area which was very spacious and had appropriate sound levels. Good for studying and having a conversation. We ended up reserving a private space which was very nice. The reservation can be up to 2 hours long. Things took a turn for me when I visited the bathroom. The toilet paper wasn't very well replenished with just one roll hanging out on top of the railing. The soap dispenser also wasn't working and no paper towels were available. There was also a lot of water and toilet tissue on the floor. Overall it's a great place to study, chill while shopping at La Cantera, or could even be a chill date spot. Most of the reviews here are about the cafe. It's a great cafe, but my review is on the customer service I received there. This was the first time I ever went into a Capital One Cafe. I always did banking online, but this time I needed to a different type of transaction. I walked in and was quickly greeted by 2 smiling faces. Both ladies were willing to help me. Alyssa ended up helping me. She was super helpful and friendly. She was really sincere in trying to help me, and not fake. Initially I thought I forgot my debit card, and she was thinking of all the different ways to help me. I eventually found my card, and she helped me with my transaction. She spent a good 15 minutes helping me out with a smile on her face. Alyssa was actually happy that I was able to complete the transaction I wanted to do. She even offered me a drink. Basically got a great coffee for half off! The coffee was good. I got their signature lavender latte and it was not overly sweet .I did add an extra shot. It took a while for the drinks to come out. My computers were hacked, and unfortunately someone was able to take over my system during the night. They gained access to my Capital One accounts and initiated wire transfers from three different accounts, totaling $40,000. Luckily, I caught the activity the same day and reported it to Capital One immediately. Capital One's fraud department was able to recover about 75% of the stolen funds from my two personal checking accounts and my savings account. However, the funds stolen from my business account were not replaced. What makes this situation even more concerning is that I did not receive any email or text alerts from Capital One notifying me that large wire transfers were taking place. I filed reports with the FBI, my local police department, and Capital One, but none of these entities were able to help me recover the full amount of my stolen money. I'm posting this review to warn others: your money may not be safe with Capital One. Even though the initial breach happened on my computer, the fact that unauthorized individuals were still able to move money out of my Capital One accounts without any alerts or protections is extremely alarming. read more

Back in April, I stumbled upon this unique spot while waiting for my laptop at the Apple Store. It's a coffee shop that also operates as a bank offering limited services. I was welcomed by Becky, who was exceptionally friendly and provided outstanding service. She went above and beyond to help me, and I found myself returning monthly just to see her. Over time, we became close, almost like friends. Becky even organized a reading event at my friend's child's school, showcasing her dedication not just to her job but also to the community. Unfortunately, I recently learned that Becky no longer works there, and the experience isn't quite the same without her. The space does offer private rooms for studying or calls, though you might need to reserve them now. Occasionally, the café gives out cool free Capital One swag. If you're a cardholder, you get 50% off drinks, and sometimes employees even offer free drinks as a kind gesture. Most of the remaining employees are kind, but they often seem unhappy or unapproachable. One staff member, who I believe is the manager, comes across as unfriendly and lacking empathy. On the bright side, the baristas are always pleasant. The food is pricey and only worth it if you have no other options, and the bathrooms are usually dirty, though convenient if you're at the Apple Store. I went today to this location and ended up in the ER. I ordered an iced matcha latte and I was drinking it while shopping then felt something hard in my mouth so of course I go to take a look and it is a shard of GLASS. I then feel as if there is some in my throat so I rush to the ER, on my way I call the store number that is listed on Google and here on Yelp and it redirects me to the 1-800 number, when they answer they have me wait forever through an automated prompt and when I finally can get to a representative I have to explain how I was trying to call the location because I found glass in my drink then the representative goes on to tell me that I need to go in to the location and tell the manager... I don't see anywhere online how to get in contact with this location and I really did not want anyone else to get a glassy drink. I really love that Capital One has put one of these cafes here in town. I always see the one in Austin and never get to stop in so this is great! I love the service, if I have questions about my account, need to withdraw money without fee, or just have a cool spot to hang out and do work, this is it! I had a great experience a few months ago with Cesar, he not only answered questions about my account but he also comped my drink! I am addicted to the oat milk matcha latte with brown sugar jelly, it is so good! And I love the perk of getting 50% off at the cafe when you pay with your capital one card. The only reason I took off a star is because every single time I go into the bathroom the floor is sticky, the toilet paper is out, or this last time one roll was on the floor and another on the backside of the toilet which is just gross. Nice staff from the bank and the coffee place inside it. I was so excited they had Peet's coffee here because it's so good! They have private rooms you can go to and table and sofas. Anyone can go and be in a small room. You don't have to go to the bank or anything, you can just go get your coffee here but it's awesome they have combined both together. I saw their commercials on TV, and was actually easily persuaded to come in and check out how a Bank was incorporated into a cafe. I don't even have a Capital One card, but they do offer 50% off their cafe for those who do have it! Might have to switch over... The bank team there are not aggressive at all in getting you to join Capital One, it's a very welcoming cafe that allows the customers to approach the the CO team with their own questions at their own time. I often see people studying/working in the back spaces and it's really quiet inside given how busy it can get in La Cantera. It's also fun to just sit and people watch. P.S. I loved this cafe! There were tons of seating areas and it was super cute inside. The music wasn't playing too loudly, so it was perfect for studying and catching up with friends! I loved how bright the inside was, how friendly the staff were, and how there were tons of outlets. A lot of cafes are a little closed spaced, but this one was open. I got the matcha latte and added a little bit of sweetener to it. It was a little milkier than what I had expected, but it was still good matcha! The drinks are actually from Peet's coffee. You get drinks half off with a capital one card, which is amazing. I will say their drinks are a little bit on the pricer side, but if you have the capitol one card, it is definitely worth coming to. It's a really cool concept, because there's a bank incorporated inside. Say it may be lovely, but as a representation of an offering of Capital One sucks if you have to do anything other than what you would normally do edit any old ATM. Need a cashiers check? Nope had your wallet stolen and need funds while you are on vacation? The limit on what you can pull out on the QR code won't even get you a hotel in this town. Can you try and ask for help? The only response you get is that you should have your ATM card which obviously is not going to be possible when it's been stolen, there are no tellers here only baristas. Perhaps they should change their name simply to Café with ATM. It would be more representative of the actual brand experience and functionality. read more

I won't lie, it's a lil expensive, especially food wise. I was hungry but didn't get anything to eat because my brain couldn't justify spending that much for some avocado toast.
