Their espresso machine was down on this day. Woulda been nice to have had a free drink to make it up to us. My drink was okay. Not what I initially came in for. Tried to work from here but the music was a bit loud and I needed to hop on a video meeting.

Coffee shop located near La Cantera. It was really busy the day we went. It's kinda small so seating is limited. Luckily we were able to snag an area in the corner. I ordered the churro latte. It was so good! The prices are very reasonable as well. The girls working were very nice and worked well under pressure. As busy as it got they never seemed frustrated or rude when we asked for something. We'll definitely go back when in the area.

We did the coffee flight and each one was amazing. We had the tiramisu, flan latte, taro matcha and then the coffee matcha. All of the flavors were a little different than what I'm used to but all amazing. It's fairly busy but they were quick. The breakfast was also amazing!

Went for their holiday menu and was surprised at the Tiramisu and Creme Brûlée lattes! They were delicious but the one thing thing is that it tasted more like a sweet drink than coffee but I didn't mind I loved it. The one thing I didn't like was their matcha because it was very water down and did not taste like matcha to me. They also have some bakery items that look good but I did not try any. The place is small and it seems to be doing well because the two times I've gone it's been full! The staff if super kind and very attentive. The wait time was not bad at all for how busy it was. I love the location's aesthetic and it's a cozy place. The parking in front of it is small but there's more parking a little farther down, you just have to walk a little more but NOT BAD AT ALL. Over all I would go back to try more things!

Came to San Antonio for a college tour and found this super cute coffee shop! Loved the cozy vibes--it's a small space, but we were lucky to arrive when there wasn't a line. The girl at the front and the barista were both super friendly, and our iced coffees were amazing. We tried the Banana Foster, Churro, and Honey Lavender--each one was unique and delicious. We also ordered a breakfast sandwich, which took a bit of time (around 15-20 minutes), so just a heads-up if you're in a rush. But it was totally worth the wait--hot, fresh, and flavorful. Overall, a great little spot to relax and enjoy a tasty drink and bite. Would definitely come back!

So we came here on Sunday ( my husband and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary). I was intrigued to come here because my dream always to have a coffee flight. I didn't realize it's weekdays only but the manager was so sweet she made an exception. Honestly the nicest workers. The best customer service I've had in awhile. It left such a good impression I'll definitely be back soon. Anyways we got the jet setter, we had chai and tiramisu and matcha and banana, the chai was the BESt DRINK I've ever had! Honestly I liked it so much I wanted to order another one to go. My husband loved the tiramisu he said it literally tasted like one. Just note it's a small coffee shop not enough seating inside but outside there's tables and chairs which is nicer anyways.

Thirty grind has some fun coffee options! However if you're looking for a place to study I would not recommend , maybe at least for a weekends it gets very crowded and drinks can take a super long time. The tables and chairs are also awkwardly set up so if you have books or a laptop it's not ideal. The tables are very small and low to the ground. Would come here again to just grab coffee and go though! Matcha was good!

Thirty grind is definitely different from other coffee shops I've been to in town! I was looking up local spots close to me and found this one over in the Eilan Hotel area. It's right across from the Rim! It's a small setting for sure, but brings a sophisticated vibe to coffee. Think of it like a craft bar lounge, but instead of drinks it's coffee. I don't drink, so it's perfect for me! Even the drinks and food are all prepared with the utmost attention. I've liked everything that I've tried so far, and I'm pretty sure I'll like the rest of the menu too. If you take your drink for here, it's even served in elevated cups, wine glasses, stuff like that. They're in their soft opening phase but grand opening is on the 27th!

This place is a vibe and the matcha is top tier. Former coffee shop and specialty tea shop barista here! I'm so sad I was short on time and couldn't stay as long because this café was so cool. I was super impressed by the newer barista in training because he made our drinks so well, and both baristas were so kind and helpful. It may have taken slightly longer for our drinks to come out, but we were able to enjoy the higher end, urban contemporary feel of the place while we waited. We ordered two matcha beverages, the Cozy Lavender Matcha with Almond Milk and the Clouded Matcha with Whole Milk. The matcha drinks at this shop are made with ceremonial grade matcha, are made traditionally (something I was super excited about), and come unsweetened unless ordered otherwise. My Cozy Lavender had the perfect lavender and honey balance to complement the matcha. The lavender extract had good sweet but earthy notes that balanced with the almond milk, and the honey gave the drink a smooth added sweetness. My fiancé's Clouded Matcha had a fantastic cloud top that was incredibly creamy and foamy, and was rich without overpowering the rest of the drink. The sea salt gave an excellent savoriness to the drink while balancing out with the sweetness of the caramel, and the white chocolate gave a deep but subtle richness to the drink. Despite the all of strong flavors they didn't overpower one another or the matcha itself, but created a harmonious drink packed full of flavor. Both beverages were crafted excellently, were silky smooth, and didn't have too much ice. I will absolutely return as this café has become a top five on our Favorite Coffee Shop Matcha list. Next time I'll have to stay longer to enjoy the atmosphere!

    Strawberry matcha

Really good matcha, the strawberry was good as well but the matcha before mixing was impressive! Will be back. Service was very good, and pretty quick! This is a good coffee shop to get work done, pretty quiet. A lot of young professionals/students working during the day. I can't wait for them to bring back the fiesta themed cereal matcha.

There were very limited fresh selections available, and many items were still being baked during opening hours. In my opinion, a bakery should open with the shelves fully stocked and ready for customers, especially those of us stopping in early. The prices are reasonable, ranging from about $2.50-$4.00 for both sweet and savory pastries, but price doesn't make up for the lack of availability. I expected to have more options to choose from instead of empty or partially filled displays. For consistency in early morning breakfast items, I could have easily gone to Krispy Kreme, where you know exactly what you're getting when the doors open. That said, 85°C is convenient and their mango smoothies are great. Overall, it's a decent spot, but I wouldn't recommend going first thing in the morning if you're expecting a full pastry selection.

Last weekend, I decided to wait in the line and it went by much faster than I thought it would. We ordered the iced cookie butter matcha with an almond croissant. It was a perfect balance of sweet with still that lovely matcha flavor. I went with a friend who doesn't like matcha and even he was enjoying it. The second time I went is when they were running a matcha promo that they announced on their instagram (definitely follow the there!) and so I went for my midday pickup and there was a small line of about 7 people. It went by pretty fast. We were intrigued by the horchata milk and the employee let us try a bit and we were convinced that was the one. We got the horchata matcha and the banana matcha with banana cream. I definitely loved both of them but if I had to pick a favorite, it would def be that banana matcha. Perfect balance of that real tasting banana flavor (I dislike any of the artificial fruit flavorings) with the well-balanced matcha. The employees were all super friendly as they even encouraged us to ask for modifications after we got our drinks. Overall, i'll definitely be back and I 1000% get the hype now!!

FIRST TIME TASTE!!!…read more The office was restless and needed a late afternoon pick-me-up to (hopefully) get us driven and focused. We placed an online order and a coworker went to pick it all up. I perused their website carefully so as to make my first tasting impression a promising one and decided on a Strawberry Cloud Latte. My review is based on what I have experienced myself and with their website and on my beverage solely. Their website is very bright and pretty. Loved the language of their story. How yellow is more than just a color to them. And I couldn't agree more!!! Whoever wrote the text on this site has my heart. This business aims to be kind and to be a bright light, however brief, in someone's day. I love this. They also have a reputation of hiring foster kids that age out of the system. Their stores, although similar in color scheme only, looks different from one location to another. The one at La Cantera in SATX is beautiful in its modern chic with large crystal-like chandeliers and white LED backlighting. On to my drink... I ordered the Strawberry Cloud Latte made with soy. It's an espresso (or Matcha) beverage with a strawberry flavored cold foam. Their ice cubes are a bit large and don't fit through the sippy cup lid until it's been given time to melt down. Meh. And my cold foam was not as fluffy as to be likened to a cloud by any means. But the coffee was nice and I'm so glad they had soy! Other milks include almond, nonfat, whole, oat, coconut, half n half and heavy cream. I would love to try their matcha next and sample that Carrot Cake Bar with all that cream cheese frosting!!!

It's exciting to finally have a La La Land in San Antonio. I've visited the Houston locations…read morebefore, but the coffee there hasn't always been consistent. So far, this location hasn't disappointed. The layout can feel a bit cramped up front since the register is near the entrance while most of the seating is in the back. I usually go between 9-10 am, when there's little to no line. Closer to lunch or later in the afternoon, though, it gets significantly busier, sometimes with lines stretching outside to the road. Thankfully, drink turnaround is pretty quick. There's a decent amount of seating, but it can get loud if you're trying to get some work done or study. My go-to drinks are the La La Latte and the Strawberry Latte, and I enjoy trying their seasonal flavors. I don't usually like overly sweet drinks, and theirs do lean on the sweeter side, so I sometimes treat it more as a dessert than a coffee stop. If I'm in the mood for something stronger, I'll ask for an extra shot. While it's a bit pricier than other coffee shops, it's worth it as an occasional treat.
