Commonwealth is just such a beautiful vibe, their food is really delicious and very home tasting. This location has a front and back patio with a chicken coop. The only small downfall is that they sit next to a car wash and you can smell some of the chemicals and car exhaust from the shop. But overall this is our spot for delicious brunch!

Great place to go for a good brunch! Left no crumbs on my plates and enjoyed a nice warm drink and pastry! The staff were sweet and attentive. The ambiance is lovely and definitely an aesthetic environment!

Great breakfast tacos, and great coffee, they have a nice patio, the service is very friendly and patient when you are trying to decide what you want. This is a nice place where you can have a cute coffee date. Just keep in mind that the place can get busy and finding parking can be hard.

It's always fun to try a new coffee spot I haven't been to yet, and I had the pleasure to celebrate my birthday here with my friends! Cute house with lots of outdoor front and back seating, but unfortunately since it was freezing cold, we had to sit inside. Seating was a little limited at that time, but we managed to find a large table for all of us! Super friendly service at the counter. And there was an array of yummy freshly made in house pastries behind the glass counter. I ordered a decaf latte with coconut milk & pump of hazelnut and an almond croissant. The coffee was STRONG, I had to ask for 4 more pumps of hazelnut lol I really enjoyed the toasted almond croissant- I'm a huge lover of almond paste. The rest of my friends ordered some breakfast croissants and they looked super deelish. The brunch menu offered on the weekends looked fabulous too. Afterwards we wandered outside, and in the back they have a chicken pen with the most beautiful rooster and hens. Met an employee who takes care of them and you can tell he enjoys his job and was happy to be there. : )

I was excited to try this place out. When you arrive the restaurant itself looks quaint. You have to park in the back. We looked around for any indoor seating but there was none. There is limited space indoors. It was drizzling but the outdoor umbrellas kept us dry. There is a chicken coup outside and we hung out with a local kitty. I ordered a pastry, the veggie taco, and a cappuccino (this girl can eat). My friend ordered a vanilla mocha latte, three cinnamon mini things, and the veggie taco. I enjoyed my pastry and coffee. My friend enjoyed his pastry and coffee as well. He really wanted a caramel latte but they were out of caramel. The taco itself was a little bland and runny. It was nothing to get excited about. My friend didn't eat his since he didn't know it had egg. We were both expecting just vegetables. The place itself is nice. Nice seating outdoors. The decor is also nice. The person at the register has a nice attitude about her. There was another server who I felt came off as rude and she didn't want to be there. Either way it was a place I would come to for coffee and pastries, maybe. Would suggest to try it for yourself. The reviews seem very misleading since I didn't think this place was above average.

Such a cute place! Gave us autumnal vibes even though it was so hot outside. I would love to study here early in the morning though it did start getting pretty busy around 9:30 AM, you can tell it is a well loved place! The pastry we had was pretty good! A crossaint like thing with cream and fruit on top. The omelette was great and so was the breakfast crossaint plate. Great amount of food for the price! However, French press price is steep for what I know is not expensive. It was $8 for the French press, if it wasn't for the steep prices for just coffee I'd give it a 5 star!

This is such a cute little place and I'm glad I took my out of town guests here. It's a house with not a large sign out front so you could drive past it like I did, but it's ok found my way around back where there is plenty of parking. There is space for everyone here. The house has plenty of seating. There is cute outdoor front porch seating, you may even get a visit from the coffeehouse cat if you sit here. Plenty of indoor relaxed seating in a low noise work area and back yard seating. The back yard is little bit louder as there is a carwash next door beeping all the time, some chickens and roosters. This outdoor area is fun and family friendly, total nice back yard vibe. My party had several differenet items and they were all delicious and everyone finished every last bite of everything; avacado toast, grilled cheese and tomatoe soup, chorizo crepe, tomatoe mozarella sandwich. But what really hit the spot and was a winner was the Campfire Cappucchino toasted hazelnut, butter pecan, with a dash of sea salt, so yummy! I really felt like I was drinking a smore at a campfire! All the flavors mixed together so well, lightly not over bearing but just enought to taste them all. It is seasonal so get there and try it now! 2 people in the party ordered and 1 other that didn't order went ahead and ordered it for their second drink. Try this place you will not be disspaointed. They have so many diff fun drink options and one where they add a totally cute little Texas truffle.

This was probably my favorite stop in San Antonio over the summer. French bakery meets craft espresso meets backyard chicken coop-to-table? Unreal. I don't know how they manage that blend so well, but it was fantastic. The space was so refreshing and inviting and the items we tried lived up to our expectation. Would happily return.

It's been a minute since I visited Commonwealth Coffeehouse and I was pleasantly surprised by their new look! If you haven't been to this location in a few yours (like myself) you will be surprised by their amazing patio and renovated indoor. The new look is definitely more inviting and I really appreciate the new check-in area they created. The flow of the space is so much better and it looks similar to their Hemisfair location. But enough about the place, let's talk food! For my first time in some years I decided to go with their avocado toast, and wow! The food was prepared super quickly and the egg was cooked to perfection. It was filling but not overwhelming. I truly enjoyed every bite of it and can't wait to come back for another one! Also, if you are a coffee drinker I would highly recommend their cappuccinos. They are made just right and taste amazing! My only note for the team is to please include a changing table for babies in their bathroom. Their hemisfair location has one, and I just wish they also had it here. I came with a friend and her newborn, and she had to go to the car to change her baby which is obviously not ideal.

I stopped in to Berry to Bean after a Yelp event and really enjoyed the vibe of the place. It was cozy but sleek, I loved all of the plants at the coffee bar, the menu wall was really cool, and the collage poster at the back of the shop definitely had stories to be told. The café as a whole was clean and quiet, and the kind barista was relatively quick with our order. We ordered a Blue Lagoon Smoothie and an Iced Matcha Latte with Hazelnut. The Blue Lagoon was a blend of blueberries, raspberries, and oranges, but it tasted more orangey than anything. I couldn't really taste the blueberries or raspberries all too well, but the sweetness of them prevented the drink from being too acidic in flavor from all of the orange. For the Matcha Latte, it was also difficult to clearly taste the flavors, let alone the matcha at all. It was on the more bitter side, but it was a smooth drink at the very least. While the establishment and service get 5 stars, the drinks only get 3. It's definitely one of those places where I wish the drinks lived up to the atmosphere so I'd be more inclined to visit again, but I'd honestly be alright skipping over another visit to this café.

Summer Moon Coffee is great and this location is no exception. They specialize in sweeter, calorically dense, caffeinated beverages, with their signature Moon Milk being a stand out and my usual go to. They offer varying levels of sweetness, so everyone has the opportunity to dial in the beverage to their liking. They offer all the traditional coffee house staples as well, but I haven't personally tried any of those and can't speak to their quality. Prices are comparable to other coffee chains in the area. Ambient noise level inside the cafe was low and would be a well suited location to get some work done or study, several patrons seemed to be doing so. They offer WiFi, and the Verizon 5G signal was very strong inside. This location is a part of the Tripoint complex, shared with the D.R. Semmes Family YMCA and Trinity Baptist Church. Definitely worth stopping by for your caffeine fix after a workout if you're already in the area, but probably not a location I would come to for just the coffee. Things worth knowing ahead of time: They offer a drive through in you're in a hurry or stopping by on your way to work. Their restrooms are located just outside of the cafe area and shared by the church they share the building with.

They were nice enough to warm the cookie for me, and it had that "fresh out of the oven" smell and gooeyness. They asked me if I wanted my drinks for here or to-go and I said for here and they still served me in to-go cups, which I thought was weird. The cortado was not my favorite. It was bitter and acidic and the foam was looking a little yeasty. The mocha latte also had very little flavor to it, tasting like hot milk. I had difficulty finishing both drinks. Later I noticed they were using What's Brewing beans, and it made sense. I know many folks love WB? coffee beans, as it's a bit of a local darling, but more often than not I don't enjoy cortados made with their beans. Dirty dishes and cutlery sat on a couple of tables long after folks had left. I don't want to make assumptions, because there WAS a designated staff member for cleaning/wiping things down, but maybe those two evaded her. There's a sign on the wall that says, "I'm not for everyone," and boy are they right. They also stopped playing one of my favorite Radiohead songs (right in the middle of it!) to play Teenage Dream by Katy Perry. Now while I'm not deducting stars for THAT (because that's just downright petty), I can't help but feel unimpressed by my most recent visit. At least the cookie was delicious. Perhaps a third visit is in order. As they say, third time's a charm, right?
