Sausage, Egg, & Cheese Croissant Sandwich
    Angel S.

There's something so quaint and sweet about Old Town Helotes. We love stopping by all of the community events but what we love the most is coming to support all of the local small businesses. And as a foodie, there's no better way to support than eating and posting! This visit took us to Cracked Mug Helotes a Texas Hill Country hidden gem serving up coffee, breakfast, and a variety of baked goods that everyone deserves to know try for themselves. All of their coffee is from local specialty coffee roasters minutiae coffee and all baked goods are made from scratch in house. I tried their Egg, Sausage, and Cheese Croissant Breakfast Sandwich and really enjoyed it. The croissant was fluffy and flaky, and the ingredients were prepared perfectly. I would have liked a salsa, which I know to ask for next time. My wife liked her Breakfast Plate w/ 2 Eggs, Homestyle Potatoes, Sausage and Texas Toast. Pretty simple items but they were executed perfectly. But what stands out the most here is the ambiance and atmosphere. This place is located in the beautiful gathering of small businesses called Shops at Old Town Helotes. It's perfectly nestled along a line of shade giving trees where sunrays dance between the branches on a sunny day. It's the perfect setting for a day date that we all deserve now and then. We did! Cozy little coffee shop corner

It's always lovely to find a real coffee shop in San Antonio. (SATX loves its drive-thru-Java spots, but that's not my jam.) This cozy space has a quiet vibe and a few hot dishes instead of the usual muffins and carb-heavy fare. It's nestled into a lovely treed area strung with lights, across from a nifty looking wine place. The atmosphere is lovely, and the Honey I'm Home latte (honey and lavender) was transcendent. Since the space is small inside, it was a little loud with a little kid squealing and running around -- literally. And the music was religious pop, another less than stellar choice. But since I beg my coffee shop experiences in SoTex, I was happy to take the chance to stop in on a misty Saturday morning.

This was such a cute place to stop by for coffee and breakfast tacos. I was warmly welcomed by upon entering the cafe. The interior space is very small but there is lots of outdoor seating options.

I've had this place bookmarked for about a year until we finally had a chance to stop by for a morning breakfast. Such a cute and cozy little place with a roomy outdoors area that's also dog-friendly! My fiancé and I got a drip coffee, iced latte, and breakfast plate, and a breakfast bowl. They do not have pup cups but I asked for my whip cream on the side so my dog can have a treat too. All was super delicious. Between the cool weather that morning, the taste of coffee, the sun on our skin, the shade from the trees. and bacon in our faces, it was a wonderful experience. I'm glad it's someone close to us. Will need to wake up earlier to go back!

I went here for the first time and I loved it. The staff was really nice and I'd go back for the amazing service. I ordered a matcha (vanilla flavor, oatmilk, and a hint of mango). For food, I ordered the breakfast plate and I enjoyed every bite. I loved eating outside it was so beautiful and amazing to be outdoor in a beautiful town. Truly enjoyed the experience.

Mixed berry lemonade & house blend

Hubby wanted to try some more local coffee and this place popped up. It's in a cute location in downtown Helotes. My husband said their house blend was super smooth and he honestly ended up enjoying it more than coffee from summer moon (his usual favorite). We looked into the place they source their beans from and it turns out it's a little coffee company here in the Alamo ranch area! They're a newly established coffee company & their coffee is great! I ended up getting a mixed berry lemonade that was incredibly delicious. It was light, not overly sweet, and was perfect for this hot day. We also decided to split their turkey and cheddar sandwich which was great. I was expecting regular lunch meat and was really surprised and happy with the carved turkey instead. We would 100% come back here. Prices are great, food was delicious, staff was friendly, and they offered a military discount!

Very nice atmosphere, seating inside and outside. Coffee was great, I got an iced Willie Nelson latte. Very cute coffee shop. They also offer a discount for military/healthcare/first responders.

I'm on their notification list when new things go down for the week, so this round I pre-ordered their gouda and bacon sourdough loaves, my absolute fave! So, we don't have to wait in line with the others for a smoother service. My eyes were burning the entire time while we were waiting inside. Mentioned it to the girl behind the counter, but she didn't seem too bothered. Noticed a few standing counter top areas and two small tables for seating. We've been a few times and never been disappointed. The bagels are a bit tough (due to sourdough in lieu of traditional bagel dough) but the bread and other items are fresh and well made. Most of what is available is a pastry, a few cookies and other odd items like spreads. We've been twice and bought bagels but they were unable to re-heat them or provide even butter or cheese for them. The sandwiches are varied and made with their bread. Prices aren't low or medium but fair given that they are making it all there. Watch the hours as they may be open but aren't serving lunch or only have certain products available. Call in advance if you want something special.

Thanks to the San Antonio coffee fb group for all of the recommendations! They have a pretty expansive menu as well as plenty of delicious looking baked goods ! They have some cbd options too but I didn't try any of those. I tried the iced texas Star - flavorful and great espresso flavor. I do wish they used smaller ice cubes so the drink would last just a tiny bit longer. I also tried their chocolate croissant. Good, but would've been better warmed up! I don't remember if they offered that. My friend had the matcha and she loved it. They recently got a new matcha and she was worried because she loved the other one but was pleasantly surprised how smooth and delicious this one was as well. I definitely need to go back and try their matcha as well as other menu items because everything sounds so good. 1 star taken off because it is very hard to navigate with a stroller which is a bummer because I know tons of moms that love to venture out and find new coffee shops. On the plus side, clean restrooms with a changing table which is hard to come by!

I didn't catch our waitress's name, but she was very attentive and fun. The burger I got was the Hangover, which lots of places have now, but this one was a little different in that it had hash browns, an egg, and bacon. The hash browns were a really nice addition. I added an extra patty and upgraded to the jalapeno cheese bun. It normally comes on TX toast which I think would be equally tasty. Not the absolute best burger I have had, but it was solid! I doubt you'd be disappointed, but not sure you would say this is the new heavyweight champ. The onion rings were very good. Sweet potato fries were a little lacking. From the moment we stepped into 6 Klicks Cafe, the vibe was immediate--warm, welcoming, and real. Not forced, not corporate. Just genuine energy. The kind of place where you already know you're about to eat good before you even see the menu. The Food I ordered the grilled chicken marsala, and they didn't just throw it on a plate--they presented it. Everything looked intentional. * Chicken cooked perfectly * Sauce was on point * Mashed potatoes? Had me wanting the recipe after one bite * Green beans with sausage and onion--straight comfort food I also tried the chicken tenders, fries, and Texas toast--everything was done right. Crispy where it needed to be, flavorful across the board. Portion size?
