Wanted a performance center revolver. I didn't want to deal with the big sporting goods stores and River City quoted me higher than usual pricing. Decided to check these guys out. The business has been around forever, right up the street from me, on Watt Ave. They recently moved to Madison Avenue. John gave me a good price, paid and Mario called me 2 days later letting me know I could come in and do my paperwork. It had already arrived. They were closed on my delivery day, which was the Monday before Christmas. I was impressed that they opened on Christmas Eve to make sure everyone had their gifts before Christmas Day ! Decided to visit this place and support a local business, tried to purchase ammo but the seller (owner?) refused as I didn't have a Real ID; however, I brought other types of ID (which are approved by the DOJ) but the man said that those don't qualify (wrong!). I didn't want to argue, went home checked the DOJ requirements again, found myself to be correct (what a surprise!), and went to another local gunshop which immediately sold be over $200 worth of ammo, with no issues. I would expect someone who sells guns & stuff to know the laws and regs better than a typical gun owner. read more

Came in here looking for a good little local gun shop rather than travel all the way out to bass pro, boy did I find a good shop!!! First off the second I walked in I was greeted and asked if I had any questions (having worked in retail that's already an A+ for me). I am still new to gun owning and such and so I had basic beginner questions and the guy was VERY knowledgeable and just overall very helpful. I wound up leaving the store knowing I will for sure be back there (especially since I bought a new rifle from there that day) and these people know what they're doing and what they're talking about and quite frankly I will be coming back here from now on for all my firearm needs! I went in looking for a couple of guns for my wife and I. They showed us several but decided on a couple of SigSauers. A P226 for myself and a P365 for my wife. My experience when I went to purchase a firearm was horrendous. Paid up front and waited for the DOJ to run my background check. My background check was placed on hold and was eventually undetermined. At this time I went back to get my money back since at this point it was up to the dealer to release it or not and they CHOSE not to. At first they said that I should wait a few more days but I didn't want to so they told me they didn't know how to refund back to a debit card, so I had to come back. When I came back the second time they stated that we cannot refund back to card because they had a new POS system and would have to release it via a check but that the person who does check is not there. So I had to come back again. The last time I went back the same individual that told me I had to wait for the person to give me the check was there then gave me a check for less than what I paid for. Said that we are keeping the taxes, doj fee, and charging you a 20% restocking fee. SO OUT OF 614 I received only 420 dollars back. You can't keep my taxes and your own policy states that if I don't pick up the gun within ten days OR the DOJ denies me that there is a 20% restocking fee. This did not pertain to me as I was neither denied or refused to pick up the gun. But it was the dealer that denied me. Horrible staff. Terrible business practices. Do not give them your business and get pre-approved before giving them any money. read more

This is a *very* tiny fishin' and gun shop. The owner was friendly, helpful, and honest. The price for the .22 target rifle I ordered through him was reasonable and the rifle arrived on time. Kathy spent 45 minutes educating me on hand guns and the process involved in buying a firearm. I did some research, checked other shops and came back here to buy. I stumbled into Guns & Stuff after visiting several ammo dealers, nobody had .45-70 ....not even the place called Ammo Depot. I walk in thinking the place should be named Fishing & Stuff but there were gun maker signs on the window so as I reached the back counter I am greeted by a nice guy named Wes. He has all the 45-70 my budget can afford. Very friendly place. As I ready to leave I spot a pistola I can't live without but have no money. Wes explains to me he will put the gun aside for a few days while I put together a deposit and then give me up to 90 days to finish paying. Great customer service! read more

It is in the contract that they gave you saying for any reason during the process of certifying you with the B.S.I.S. if the owner/buyer of the firearm cannot qualify to carry a firearm it is the buyer's fault not the seller/merchant. I went here and they are friendly but for a first time buyer they wern't very helpful they kinda said any guns a good gun, which is true because it depends on the person, MORE FOR EXPERIENCED OWNERS IN MY OPINION. so i bought one elsewhere but my contract there had same fees as well it's a percentage of the total. read more

I live near by and have always driven past this shoddy little shop on roseville rd. I needed to take my hangun safety test and was in the market for a gun, so I thought I would stop in and support the little guy. I wandered around in a tiny circle looking at fishing gear while I waited for the owner to finish his conversation with a patron who appeared to have made no purchases, and was just running on with useless banter. When he finally left, and I was afforded some attention, I asked if I could take the handgun safety test there, and he told me he only had three tests left. After that he told me they were only for people who buy guns there. Well, at that point, based on how he chose to interact with me, I most definitely became someone who did NOT buy guns there, and never will. I will certainly recommend to anyone I know, not to go there either. I drove down the road, took the test somewhere else, and will now be buying a new firearm from some individuals who know how to run a business, and give people equal respect. read more

So, I register my .357 with this guy. CCW holder here (Many years) . Sheriff calls me when I add the firearm to my CCW and says they cannot approve this gun because it has a "8888" multi caliber flag on it. The Sheriff asks what kind of gun it is and I tell him it's a revolver. IN all his years on the force he has never seen a "8888" on a .357 and the Sheriff's office will not allow an "8888" for CCW holders. The dealer guy put .357, .38 under caliber(s) which the DOJ then denotes the "8888". Called DOJ and they said to call the dealer and have him remove the .38 and were done. Called and the dealer and he will not do it. Says it's against the law. Called the DOJ back. Got a supervisor who said removing the .38 would be perfectly fine and that if he didn't do It I would have to file a NLIP and have a dealer re-register it without the .38. Apparently every-other dealer in the state just puts .357. I called back again and the guy adamantly refuses to help me. I plead with him as my CCW expires in 30 days. Had the ID's of the guy at DOJ and the supervisor. Nope..... tough luck and hung up on me. I admire a man who sands on principles but when the DOJ is telling you it's ok and how to remedy the situation, and you flat out refuse then there's a problem. I will never use this guys services again and I would recommend you think twice when you need his help on some BS that inevitably creeps up. read more
